We had a nice quiet night at the Inn, it was everything you would expect in a New England Inn. Breakfast was very nice with Cranberry French toast with bacon and cut fruit, juice and coffee. Like I said everything you would expect in a New England Inn.
We were welcomed to the Stark Village Inn by Nancy and Mike just as they would welcome family members. We were shown to a nice, private room with our own bathroom. We enjoyed their company later as we all sat around and watched TV and talked. There are many interesting things in the house, pictures of family, collectibles and glassware and Nancy has stories she will share about them. The next morning we were treated to the best breakfast we had on our week-long vacation - ham cooked with maple syrup fruit, scrambled eggs and THE BEST blueberry muffins I've ever eaten ! The B&B is right beside a beautiful covered bridge and old church. Great for photos !
Don't stay in the middle room. All else was okay. Breakfast was a delicious variety of eggs, bacon pancakes, fruit, coffee, juice and just about anything anyone would want. Community room has great view of the river and the covered bridge. A walk across the street to the cemetery is very interesting & offers another good view.
Have you ever wanted to be in a real Christmas decorated home, but did not want to put the time and effort to create it? Well, I highly recommended booking a time in December to enjoy this very beautiful home! It is beside a historical covered bridge with a quaint old fashion New England church on a bubbling, flowing river. The hospitality is outrageous terrific. The breakfasts make your mouth water just thinking about them! I have been visiting this inn for 9 years and it is priced right for everyone's budget! Book a night and enjoy all the comforts of home all year round!
My wife and I stayed at this B&B in 2005, it was a neat place to stay with the crystal clear river running next to the house and the covered bridge only yards away. We drank wine at our table beside the home and you could reach down and touch the water of the river as it flowed past us and the covered bridge was a sight to see just a few yards from the B&B. The lady that owned the B&B was very friendly and hospitable. We just made ourselves at home while staying there. I might add that she also prepared great breakfast.
