The Wakefield Inn & Restaurant is a Historic Bed and Breakfast located in a quaint New England Village. Just minutes from Wolfeboro, NH and Lake Winnipesaukee. Come stay and enjoy the gardens, birds, and peaceful mountains from either the front porch or the back patio. Relax in the hammock with a good book. Join us for dinner in our restaurant.
This is a wonderful historic inn. We enjoyed our one-night stay in the Tibbetts Room. It was cool inside on a very hot day, and the front porch had just the right amount of shade and a slight breeze. We sat there for a couple of hours enjoying the view and the quiet. The breakfast was incredible! Fresh fruit and a great menu. Highly recommend the goat cheese omelet. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

I discovered the Wakefield Inn this summer and absolutely love it. I have referred several friends and they agree, the food is amazing! I've been several times now and continue to be totally satisfied with all dishes. My sister said the lobster ravioli is the best she's ever had. I've had the veal several times and you can literally cut it with a butter knife it's so tender (my favorite is the veal florentine). And the mussels, so so delicious! If you go and are a chocolate lover, the puddle cake is to die for!!

Christina's food is masterful! We had a small, intimate wedding for 10 people and Christina catered it for us. Absolutely a highlight of our day - we were all fighting for the leftovers. The salmon, the short ribs, the roasted veg, the risotto - everything was outstanding. Christina was wonderful to work with - can't recommend her and her food enough!

My wife and I stayed one night. Christina is an excellent host. The room was lovely, hot tea or coffee available along with an array of snacks. The breakfast was amazing, cooked to order! I had a sausage, goat cheese two egg omelette. Delicious! Very good coffee.

This is for the restaurant from last week but we got good ,friendly vibes about the place as a whole. Four of us split the Italians sampler. Two of us just spent three weeks in Italy and were not disappointed. The entrees were also good: tasty and a good amount . No one could justify dessert. The background music was just that....in the background. The room was homey, not fancy but welcoming.

I am a summer resident in Sanbornville, but when I go up during the winter I always stay at the Wakefield Inn. The owners are great!! Nice and super friendly. The room is always clean with everything I need. I love the fresh cookies, coffee and water in the lounge area. During the summer I try to have dinner there at least once a week as I love Chef Christina's cooking. Can't recommend the Inn or restaurant enough.

Spent the first of many nights to come here while my vacation home is being renovated and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not often that the ideal location is matched by a very nice place too. It's a great old time bed and breakfast with clean rooms, comfortable mattresses and polite staff. Breakfast was simple but delicious...What more can you ask for .. Looking forward to coming back when you re-open from your shutdown... RP Peabody Ma

I am a summer resident who has enjoyed great service & many wonderful meals at the Restaurant. I stayed on the first floor in the Tibbetts room. It was clean & sheets were freshly laundered. I was disappointed that upon arrival there wasn't bottled water in the room or coffee station, nor were there any type of snacks besides candy in the main parlor. The other issue's I had was the tiny shower with a traditional mounted spray head. It's really impossible to wash and rinse properly. Installing a hand held shower wand is inexpensive & easy to install. I actually waited to get to my hotel near the airport to shower a second time. Finally, while the little authentic touches like the old fashioned basin & pitcher in the bathroom is pleasant to look at...there was zero space anywhere to place grooming items.…

For a truly wonderful New England experience this quaint Inn was perfect . I stayed at the Inn for one night and experience both dinner and breakfast. For dinner, I was joined by five other friends and every one of them said their meal was excellent, as was mine. Breakfast was also fantastic. I remember complementing the chef that the bacon was perfect the eggs were perfect and not greasy, toast and hash browns were also delicious. It was truly one of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. The dining room window looks out into the backyard and surrounding wooded area, making for a beautiful Panorama while you dine. The room was very comfortable, and very quaint. Temperature can be controlled in each room, making it very comfortable. As a former New Englander, the rooms were decorated in a very nice, New England country fashion. The family that runs the end are extremely nice, and did everything they could to make me feel welcome. I would definitely return, and I would highly recommend taking people there for dinner or breakfast who live nearby or are visiting the area.…
