This Inn is one f the nicest ones we have stayed in. The outside and inside was kept up perfect. The view of the lake just added to the beauty of this Inn. Our room was very comfortable. We had two chairs and good lighting to read by. The tv was in the living room as was a fireplace which was lit for us each night. There was enough couches and chairs for our friends and us to sit, talk and enjoy the fire. Both mornings the breakfast was so good. From a yogurt parfait, egg casserole and muffin one morning to a fruit cup, baked French toast and bacon the next. Coffee or tea with breakfast and throughout the day with cookies. Come meet the innkeepers who make this place so special and enjoy this Inn if you are going to vacation in the lakes region of New Hampshire.
This b&b is worth if for the setting alone, but add in a gourmet breakfast with wonderful views, welcoming staff, comfortable room and common rooms, and convenient location, and it is a no-brainer. We enjoyed dinner at nearby Fratellos's, and prior to arriving we hiked the Locke's Hill trail for beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee.
Recently stayed two nights in the Crystal Lake room and loved everything about it! Every inch of space had a purpose, great taste in colors/decor, and the bed sheets felt like sleeping on a cloud. The room also smelled amazing, and the entire house was spotless - so, so clean. Breakfast was phenomenal, and we loved having our morning cup of coffee out on the porch. The rocking chairs and view of the lake made it hard to go anywhere! We truly appreciated Rebecca's warm welcome and Monty's fantastic sense of humor, and we felt so comfortable staying here because of such awesome hosts. My favorite little detail about this place was how they displayed a flag out front of whatever country their guests were from - such a nice gesture.
Stayed overnight on a leaf peeping tour of New Hampshire. The property is very well run and attended to. It is immaculate, the location and seating overlooking and by the lake is wonderful, and the owners are very attentive to all details to ensure a fine and relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the Breakfast was delicious. There are kayaks you can use if one is so inclined. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.
A group of 3 couples made the trip up to this absolutely beautiful Lake House. . As frequent B and B guests , we tend to be very discerning. Our stay did not disappoint! The beautifully decorated inn was immaculate, the innkeepers were always available but never intrusive, extremely welcoming and honestly made you feel as if you were truly welcomed guests in their home . The porch ( a major qualifier for our destination choices ) was relaxing, welcoming and comfortable with an amazing front row view of Lake Winnisquam . Breakfasts were top notch … and the bed linens .. OMG! Highly recommended for so many reasons … you will be so happy with your choice !
Everything about this place is perfect! The attention to detail, service, cleanliness, comfort, location, breakfast including adhering to my gluten-free diet, setting, and I could go on and on. We will be back here again without question.
The hosts at The Lake House are wonderful people and extremely accommodating. My wife and I have stayed here three years in a row. We brought our nephew last year and they couldn’t have been nicer to him. Their food is wonderful and the have a pretty perfect location. When our nephew was a late cancellation this year they were sure to ask about him and sent us back with a little gift.
We chose Lake House after seeing it featured on the Boston Channel 5 program, Chronicle. We wanted something special for our 40th anniversary get away. We had been searching for months for such a place. Monty, Jeannette and Rebecca delivered the experience we were looking for. This inn is more like going to visit a favorite family member than going to a business. They make you feel at home from the minute you walk up the stairs of the huge inviting porch. We were guided to our room by Monty The room felt familiar. It was spotlessly clean, I know clean, I was an OR nurse for part of my career. The sheets were soft and comfortable. Our bathroom was very clean and large. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. It is great home style cooking just like you would expect when visiting family. The porch was full of laughter and shared stories with inn guests that seemed like, new friends that just wanted to enjoy each other’s company. The lake is beautiful to watch the boats go by. The innkeepers are very helpful answering questions and making suggestions for what to to do in the area. If you are looking for a great home away from home where you can hear the loons in the evening despite the local traffic going by, I would highly recommend this inn…
My husband and I stayed at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town for a wedding at a nearby resort in February and had an exceptional stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the inn! The inn was cozy and charming, and Monty and Rebecca were gracious and attentive hosts. They take such pride in their inn, and it shows. The inn itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are charming and cozy (and some with spectacular views of the lake!), and the amenities throughout were ample. The sheets were divine and so soft; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The large living room downstairs was the perfect spot to relax by the stunning fireplace and play board games from their many options of games, puzzles, and magazines. There is a selection of coffee and tea in the dining room available any time, and every afternoon fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies are put out. They were delicious and we enjoyed quite a few! In the warmer months, there is a beautiful front porch overlooking the gazebo and waterfront area. The breakfast was fantastic and lovingly made. We were treated to a three-course breakfast in the dining room served by Monty with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First fruit, followed by a delicious pumpkin bread, followed by the main dish. At check-in, they asked about our dietary needs and preferences based on the upcoming menu and catered to our needs. It was excellent and we left breakfast stuffed! Monty was a truly kind and hospitable host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He was even so kind to leave out a few things to go since we departed early before breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend staying at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town or making a trip for a weekend of beautiful views and relaxation. Cozy inn, hospitable hosts, delicious breakfast, and a superb location right on the lake. We hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the porch and kayaking. A truly special inn!…
The Lake House at Ferry Point is a wonderful retreat. We got away to this spot for a Valentine Winter get away. The establishment's attention to detail really puts them in the 5 star hotel level. The list will go on and on but here are a few examples: In the bedroom...they supply a chocolate bar to nibble at; free dental kits w/tooth brushes if you forgot them w/paste, Cozy bed w/6 fluffy pillows in the room; two swivel seats that you sink into and no not want to get out; plenty of waste baskets; large, very clean, rope hung windows to look at the beautiful view of the lake; The bathroom had complementary shampoo, conditioner, lotion; plenty of hooks everywhere to hang items up; ten wooden hangers in the closet with 2 suit cases stands. One funny item that my husband asked when we got there...did you bring this Charmin toilet paper? No... they supply that :) They have a delicious breakfast waiting for you in the morning. They ask what time it should be ready for you. You dine in a sunny room on the first floor before you head out on your adventure. They gave us fresh fruit cups with some cream on top. I think they checked every berry to make sure it was perfect. It was the best that I ever tasted. A blend of blueberries, strawberries and blackberries. See some photos of the other offerings. They have a cozy Livingroom with a very unique 1913 fireplace. There are large, precious stones within the mortar. Check out the photo. The host of the establishment was Monty and was always there to help with any questions you might have. He was very gracious and eager to make sure you have a nice stay. He light the fireplace for us to sit by one of the nights. They had a fun puzzle near by if you like to add to it. We went for the Betty White magazines to thumb through while we talked about our future plans for the weekend. We highly recommend The Lake House at Ferry Point. You will not be disappointed.…
