I wanted a writing/health retreat in a quiet location and was at first appalled to discover that this inn was on a very busy commercial street. But it's set so far back off the road that one really can't hear the traffic, especially if one is in a back room near the trees as I was. What was also particularly nicet was that it was next to a large Barnes and Noble (!!) and within walking distance of several restaurants, as well as a large shopping center. One could enter civilization and then return to one's quiet room - in my case, with several new books to distract me from writing! The room was in perfect condition, clean, with refrigerator, tv, shower and tub, coffeemaker all working perfectly. My only complaint was that I strained my eyes at night because the room was too dark and the lamps didn't provide adequate lighting for doing a lot of reading/writing at night. Next time I will bring a lamp and hope that there's enough space in the electric outlets to plug it in!…
All we needed was a place to sleep for two nights while visiting family nearby. We priced many rooms in the area and prices were outrageous. We decided to give this a shot. First impressions were the grounds were neatly kept. The attendant inside was courteous and helpful. The room was a little out dated but you could see improvements are being made. New carpeting, drapes and wall coverings. The room had a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Everything you need for a quick stay. In my opinion the services were comparable for the price. We had stayed at a major chain in the area before and spent a lot of money for about the same features. If you need an affordable comfortable place for a quick stay I would recommend this.
Blood stains on bed sheets. Moldy chairs. Sticky carpet. Slow WiFi. Dusty vents. No ceiling lights. The manager said all rooms were booked so cannot change my room. He could not even change the sheets. I could not get a refund to go somewhere else. This is the most disgusting room I ever stayed at in my life. Which organization can investigate this inn? This place needs to be closed down.
I had a great interaction with the person at the front desk when I arrived later at night. They were so kind! And my room was clean, spacious, with great AC. I am keeping Park View Inn in mind absolutely for sure if I am ever in the area again.
I stayed at the one in Salem, NH I was there from Friday and checked out on a Monday, the whole time I was there housekeeping never showed up, took 2 days to get a microwave, the sheets were dirty and stained, the floor was so dirty it turned me and my fiance's feet black. The people there are rude and accuse people of stealing.
I stay here quite frequently lately (especially because where I stayed before had such bad customer service, I stopped spending thousands of dollars there each week). We stay 2-4 days each week, this stay was so horrible, I felt so uncomfortable. We always request rooms that are the updated ones but it seems there’s barely any of those that exist so we ended up in a room that was what I felt was a dark dungeon. I personally need lots of light, bright rooms...this room was so dark, old fashion, etc. we tried to switch rooms but nothing else was available, we tried to ask for an extra lamp...didn’t have any so we had to go out and purchase a small one, at least to have something. Everything was so outdated. The tv took about an hour of messing around to get it to work, the smell in the room bothered me. It is just nothing that compares to our stays in the updated rooms. I don’t understand how everyone has to pay the same prices...yet some get stuck in these outdated, not nice rooms and others get to go in the updated, bright nice rooms? That is unbelievable to me...these rooms should not be priced the same at all. I’m so uncomfortable in this room, I can barely move. The tv is way way smaller than the upgraded rooms. There was a desk in the updated room..here we have the shortest little dresser and a table with the DIRTIEST GROSSEST chairs I’ve ever seen. Just awful. The updated room had a lamp that had 2 separate bulbs for each bed left and right with a usb plug right on it to plug your devices to charge right in. This room has a gross old lamp and all plugs are far from the beds so luckily I have a few portable chargers but if I didn’t, it would be so inconvenient!!..We even asked if we could change rooms tomorrow but we’re told there still would be nothing available. So we are stuck in this room for the longest 2 days.…
The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy, and we had everything we needed: mini fridge, small coffee maker, coffee. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and accommodating! The downsides were, the lock on our door didn’t work well, putting the key in took several minutes of tries before the door would finally open. Someone from the office came and helped promptly. I had been ready for a hot bath after a long drive when we got there and the water didn’t come on at all in the shower. The maintenance man was there promptly the next day, and the water came on but we had no cold water. My husband had to fill an empty ice bucket with ice to make the water cool. The woman at the overnight desk didn’t seem too concerned about our issues, maybe she just took messages? but the woman who answered during the daytime was super helpful and extremely friendly and made us comfortable dealing with a reservation issue that was our fault, not theirs. Being a motel, your door is right there by the parking lot so you could hear doors opening and closing but that was to be expected. Overall, yes, we would stay again after checking that the issues we had previously were fixed.…
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this property as it provided me with what I was seeking, a quiet and peaceful rest. Average in all aspects, with a bed, shower ( warm, not hot water ) coffee pot, no microwave and a very small frig. There was no clock in the room, however that was not a problem. The biggest downside is the front office staff. Rather short and abrubt and not overly friendly. Would I stay again, Yes, I would when the need for simply an overnight stay arises.
Tried to make reservations but the old lady was immediately rude, making it very difficult for us to even have a conversation, she was no help what so ever , just poor and very very very unprofessional... Awful awful awful smell , attitude, and service . WILL NEVER CO BACK THERE AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE.
I have stayed here twice and never have a problem with them. However they do not have a microwave in the room but because I was staying there for 6 days. I requested one upon arrival because they do have limited, when one became available they brought it to my room. So if you are planning to stay longer, I would recommend requesting a microwave if you want but before you check in. It's in a great location you have restaurants and shops up and down the street there but still it's pretty quiet back there. Diffidently will be back again soon. Reasonably priced.
