We've been camping here as a seasonal for two years and can't say enough good about it. The owners are friendly and very accomodating and truly love their business. This year with Covid they were very concerned with everyone's safety yet allowed us to enjoy our summer. The kids love this place as they (and us) feel very safe here. The pool is always clean and the river is there as well. We've made some friends which is always part of the fun of camping. Thank you Njal and Monique on maintaining an excellent campground!
We hauled our 35 ft RV trailer 3 hrs in from Boothbay, Maine. Arrived around 2 pm on a hot Saturday. NEW owners, Monique & NJAL. She seemed nice enough checking us in. This RV Park is at best a 3 on a 5 scale. Ugly 3 ft high grey metal flood wall behind our site. After checking in I asked Monique about the flood wall.Apparently she took my question as a criticism, then went and told her Anger Management challenged husband NJAL. He came out to our site hot as a fire cracker. Basically out of control, belligerent & aggressive. Told me that I was disrespecting him, his family and (maybe) their dogs. Told me that I had 30 minutes to vacate the site (we had already paid for the 1st 2 days) or he would call the local police on us. He was impossible to talk to and de-escalate the situation. I have a wife, 2 dogs & a cat in the RV. Dude is a total a__hole. After 5-6 calls to nearby RV Parks we were fortunate to find a spot on a late Saturday afternoon. In our 6 years of RVing up & down the East coast & up-to Nova Scotia, Canada I have NEVER encountered anRV Park manager/owner anything like NJAL. I hope that I never will again. Think twice very hard before subjecting yourself to these folks.…
Lovely, immaculate campground with friendly owners and staff that treat you like family! They go out of their way to accommodate any requests or needs you have. It is on the river-great for a summer float trips and swimming. We have a big rig and love this place with its spacious sites.
We stayed here in our motorhome for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Grounds are well maintained. The short stay sites near the front are large easy access pull-thros BUT the gravel pads need work to be more level. Also, appreciating it was a holiday weekend and a very family friendly campground, we were sandwiched between 2 travel trailer families, each playing outdoor radio (different stations) loud enough for us to hear inside the motorhome with AC units running. It discouraged us from sitting outside more. This should not be. If these 2 issues were resolved, I would give it a higher rating.
We have a Toy Hauler with a motorcycle in the back. We ride every chance possible and this campground allowed us to hit most major roads in NH on a daily basis. The owners are extremely cooperative in helping us when we cancelled and rebooked in a 24 hour period. Found the property extremely clean, the office building large (restrooms, game room, laundry) clean. Property road could use maintenance as pot holes were numerous in the driveway to the park, but it does keep the speed down. No highway noise for good sleeping. We would return for another visit.
