Property's Favorite Review
Spectacular location in downtown Portsmouth. This boutique hotel overlooks the water and is just steps from every restaurant. The cozy lounge area features a delicious nitro coffee bar which is free for all guests. Staff was attentive & friendly. Room was clean & comfy. Will definitely be checking out other Lark Hotel properties!

Location is convenient to downtown, restaurants, shops and waterfront. Communication regarding parking, entry to the building and room was helpful. There is limited free parking across the street. However there are thirteen steep steps to enter the inn, with no elevator access from the ground floor. Navigating the steps with suitcases is not easy. The room ( #6) is small, with an even smaller bathroom. The sign in the bathroom leave towels To be replaced on the floor. The towels did not dry overnight so they were left on the floor to be replaced. The room was not serviced, so the towels remained on the floor when we returned that afternoon. We had to search out clean dry towels. The the bathroom was damp. The sink was partially blocked. After experiencing this lack of housekeeping, we were glad that we wiped everything down upon arrival during this pandemic. The bed is just ok. The walls are thin.

We're sorry to hear that your stay with us was not entirely what you had hoped for. While it sounds like you were able to enjoy our close proximity to downtown and all that Provincetown has to offer, we do wish your overall experience with us had been more satisfactory. We do state in our guest communication emails that housekeeping services are to happen only before and after guests stays and not during, as added safety protocols during this time. We'd love to welcome you back for another stay, as we're sure we can offer that 5-star experience you're looking for.

Let me start by saying we stayed in the Ale house when the stay at home orders were just lifted. the customer service was beyond great ! he was so helpful and even gave us a discount because we are first responders. the Ale house is in the middle of everything, you can walk all over portsmouth in just a short time, the rooms were emaculate and the bed was very comfy. I would 100% stay here again.

We are so grateful to you and all of the other first responders and those on the frontline during this unprecedented time. We're just thrilled that you were able to get away and enjoy a relaxing stay with us Portsmouth and it's so wonderful that you felt so at home. It sounds like you were even able to explore Portsmouth by foot (our favorite way!) and discover all that it has to offer. We hope to see you again!

This is such a cool Inn!! Concierge staff were great! Friendly and helpful! Their community area with fireplace, books and coffee fresh all day was nice to come back to after a day of shopping and touring the town! Rooms were spacious and clean. Loved that we could open windows to get some fresh air. We felt right at home and would definitely be the place we go back to when visiting the area. Thanks for a memorable birthday Ale House!!

The location - it was walking distance to everywhere, The room - with ipad, super clean, excellent wifi, Josiah at the front desk - who not only provided information for Portsmouth, but even gave me a list of places to see and do for a city i was visiting next, truly exceptional. And the free nitro cold/hot brew coffee and snacks at the lounge, impressive.
