Loved our weekend stay at this quaint inn this fall. Proprietors were very nice and welcoming. Short walks to the Market area and waterfront as well as the Strawberry Banke area (which was closed at the beginning of Nov but it was so nice to walk through the area with no crowds). Would highly recommend staying here for all these... More

The Inn is walking distance to downtown and likely many attractions, but it was such a rainy day that we were not able to explore much on foot. A very old building that has been kept true to its origins, with extremely steep stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms and with uneven floors, creaky boards, tiny bathrooms. A common sitting... More

The inn was really nice and cute. Innkeepers were really nice, breakfast was delicious and such a nice and cozy place. Highly recommend this inn. Close to town and shops and everything is in walking distance. Loved this place.

We could walk here from Strawberry Bank Village and walk to Jumpin' Jays Fish Cafe for dinner. That's pretty much the best things I can say about this place. Bed not comfortable, tiny room air conditioner, noise from the street, no tv in room, ordinary breakfast.

The inn is in the heart of Portsmouth... an easy walk to Strawbery Banke, Prescott Park and downtown. It is clean and homey and the innkeepers were charming and friendly. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the morning and were centrally located to where we wanted to go. It is a wonderful place to experience the charm of old Portsmouth.... More

We stayed at the Inn two nights and were very happy with the clean cozy historical rooms and the wonderfully friendly hosts. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and hot. Free parking and a great location. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

We have stayed at this Inn several times and obviously for very good reasons. Ideal location, free parking, delicious breakfasts, comfortable, quaint bedrooms with history and warm hosts that are so inviting throughout your stay. We will continue to return year after year as this particular B&B is the best place to stay in Portsmouth. No question.

We stayed just one night, but enjoyed the experience. The building dates back to the mid-1700's, which explains the charming and quixotic architecture. Our bed was quite comfortable, everything was sparkling clean, and the antique furniture and furnishings added to the charm. Location is perfect, close to downtown Portsmouth but located on a side street with very little traffic. Will... More

We were there for one night and it was really nice. Amazing to stay in a house that is over 200 years old! Very clean and so close to downtown with easy parking available. Breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this Inn to anybody looking for a nice place to spend a night (or more!)

I loved my stay at the inn. I was thrilled with the room, which was quite spacious and very comfortable. I was only staying a night, so not have the bathroom attached to the room was no big deal. However, a longer stay may have been better with a more private bath. The Inn is small and I loved that.... More
