Thank you very much for reaching out. Good or bad we want to know! Even though checkout time is 10:30 am sometimes if the cabin is not an arrival for that day we do allow our guests a later checkout. I presume it was an arrival but I don't know what cabin this was. Feel free to call and discuss this with our Guest Relations Team so we know what beds were not comfortable. We can't fix the issue if we don't have all of the information. Thank you very much for your review we hope to host you again and make it right. Best regards, Courtney Major

I live for the month of October. And each year I’ll drive the 3-4 hours north from the NH Seacoast. I’m a hardcore Grouse and Woodcock hunter. I’ve hunted over pointing dogs since 1974. My last three dogs are German Shorthairs. Long story short, the places I hunt in Pittsburg are nothing short of magical. It is a special place. And after hunting hard all day, my dog Patch and I need a special place to unwind. I found that special place at Lopstick Cabins. They are without question the most accommodating place to stay in that magical place of Pittsburg. The cabins are clean and open with incredible views. True WIFI (let’s face it we all need to stay connected), heat and hot water, cable TV, the beds were comfortable, and most importantly the staff were so nice and helpful. Case in point. I thought I lost my old “Buck” knife that my late father-in-law had given to me for Christmas back in the 80’s. Whenever the front desk called me the next day to tell me they had found my knife I was elated. Turns out I was heading back up the following week with a friend. They were going to send it to me otherwise. But there it was in a sealed bag with my name on it. Common courtesy, comfortable living conditions, and breathtaking views. That’s Lopstick Cabins. I’ll be back next October, and every October til the end of time. Ralph Fatello Hampton, NH

I’ve been visiting Pittsburg and staying at Lopstick Lodge for 9 years now. This year I stayed at Riffles on the Perry Stream. What a perfect size cabin for my dog and my mother on our Mother Daughter weekend. The grounds were very well kept and we loved walking around the twin ponds. The stream was so relaxing to listen to as well. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bathroom was HUGE and also clean. Beds are comfortable too. Could use a few more comfortable places to sit in the living area. With just a couch and a rocker, a larger family might be out of luck. Over all though for 2 people and a dog, it was wonderful. Pittsburg is just a magical place to get away and unplug from the rest of the world. Already booked my stay for October of 2020. See you next year!

We really enjoyed our vacation at Lopstick. Our cabin i would say is by far the best of all of their cabins!!! We loved the decor of our cabin! It made use feel at home. Our kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances and cooking utensils and dishes needed to make our meals. The bathroom was stocked full of towels and soap and lotion. Loved the huge porch which looked out over the other cabins. I was hoping for more of a view of the lake but I believe our neighbors would have to remove some overgrown Evergreen and deciduous trees. We used the wood stove once and it really felt so cozy. We found some kindling out side tho start the fire because you cant start it without newspaper and smaller cutup branches. Our beds were comfy unfortunately we aren’t used to mattresses because we sleep on waterbeds at home. Loved visiting the trails in the area and sightseeing adventures. The Connecticut Lake Region is a must see. We unfortunately didn’t see much wildlife but it wasn’t the season to see moose and we didn’t venture out during dawn or dusk. We saw Canadian Geese, chipmunks, squirrels and ducks.

My family and I have been visiting Pittsburg for over 30 years. In that time Lopstick has become more than just a place to stay, it is one of the highlights. We love the staff, the cozy and comfy cabins, the amenities (mom learned to fly fish here), and the peace we find when we visit. As a hiker I rely on advice from the staff, but I also love the rowboats and kayaks that are already in place at the bogs and lakes we hike around. When we're forced to stay in (it rains a lot in Pittsburg in the summer) there's satellite TV in each cabin. Many cabins allow dogs, and most have a view. Full kitchens so you don't have to eat out every night, and usually a grill or fire pit too.
