I now make an annual trip. The cabins are great and the price phenomenal. Setting is idyllic. The staff and the fly shop staff are very nice and helpful. The fishing is obviously fantastic everywhere you go in the area. I can't wait for my next visit.

Magalloway cabins were pretty rough, but clean enough to sleep in. Rented snowmobiles from Lopstick, the machines were fantastic. The reservation and billing software was a nightmare: Both lodging and sled rental office computers attempt to communicate with a single customer account but fail badly. And this software is completely separate from credit card billing and cannot verify actual charges. For most people it might not be an issue. I had reserved one room and three sleds, and at the time they told me it would be no problem to separate the balance to the other two people renting sleds with their own credit cards. I got worried when the day before arrival I received an email with the wrong dates. I called lodging and they had the right dates in their computer for lodging, but showed the wrong dates for the sleds. I called the sled office and their computer showed the right dates for the sleds. At checkout they tried for 10 minutes but could not print all of the itemized charges and payments, they didn't want to take the time to hand verify with a calculator, but assured we were not double billed. After getting home and sifting through it all we were double billed on the room.

Dear Lopstick Guest, Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that the customer service aspect of your stay with us did not meet your expectations. It’s this type of feedback that we as a team at Lopstick use to learn and improve, and while not trying to excuse the service you received, I will say that the unusual operating environment we find ourselves in today, including the impact on hiring and training new team members, has presented a unique set of challenges, to say the least. I hope that we have the opportunity in the future to demonstrate that our historical level of guest relations remains intact, if not all, at least most of the time. If you have any desire to discuss the matter further, please feel free to reach out to our front desk agents at 603.538.6659.

Wonderful stay in the North Country, and friendly staff. Well run, clear directions. A small family could stay, three beds and a sofa, modern shower, plenty of hot water, full size fridge and stove, and a gas grill on the porch. Million dollar view of a big lake, heavily forested hills and mountains, wild turkeys down the hill at the little pond, and a loon calling in the distance. Only one night, but we wouldn't stay anywhere else now.

We rode in from Berlin NH on atv's. Great location offering everything you would ever need. Close to town for supplies, yet in a country setting. The only suggestion i could offer would be better trail signage or markings on the atv map. Looking forward to next year's trip already!

We stayed here for a quick celebratory trip, and it was an amazing time! The Savard cabin was so clean and had a ton of space. We only used the top floor during our stay, but there was an entire apartment on the bottom floor of the cabin that was included. The hot tub on the deck was the best part, which had stunning views of the lake. It was so nice to sit in the hot tub in 4 degree weather and watch the snow fall around us. There was a Jacuzzi bathtub inside, as well. Snowmobiling for the first time isn't going to be our last. We did almost 100 miles of trails, and there's so much more left to see! Not to mention, Joel who was running the snowmobile rentals was very friendly, gave great advice, and was extremely hospitable. We loved everything about this trip, and we can't wait until we come back!

You just have to go up there to Pittsburg and Lopstick Cabins to get why this place means so much to me.. It’s just so peaceful and perfectly acceptable to have bacon and eggs every morning. To go walking in the woods every day either hiking or hunting. To hit the lakes kayaking, or fishing. And in the winter, it’s a whole new wonderland of frozen fun. To be visited by birds that will eat out of your hand. And to have coyotes sing at bed time... I wonder if I retired up there would it still feel the same? Guess I’ll have to wait and see what happens... For now, see you next year Riffles Cabin Pittsburg NH. The staff at Lopstick is always so friendly. They remember you year after year and actually call you by name. The cabins are super clean and always stocked with the things you need (just add food and people for fun). You can have as much privacy as you want. They have cabins to fit the smallest or the largest party. I can’t say enough good things about them. Their check in and check out process is super easy... But really, who wants to check out and leave??? I’ve been coming up to the Burg and staying at Lopstick for 9 years now. Looking forward to year 10 already.

On our family moose hunt we spent one night in the bear den cabin. One night was not enough to enjoy all lopstick has to offer. The views are absolutely amazing. The cabin was clean and cozy. We will be back for sure, and for more than one night!!!

I visit Pittsburg NH several times each year (six times so far in 2020) and The Cabins at Lopstick is where I stay each time. The cabins are always extremely clean and completely equipped with everything one could need and even things that you might not have thought of! Everything from dinnerware, cookware, utensils, paper towels, dish detergent; I really do mean everything. The fly shop is fantastic; stocked with a huge fly selection and lots of other items. Lopstick also offers fly fishing and upland guide services. I can personally attest to the fly fishing guide service as being TOO NOTCH. I can’t say enough about The Cabins at Lopstick. Book your stay, you won’t be sorry!

I’ve been staying at Lopstick for 10+ years and just now realized I’ve never done a review! On my first visit to Pittsburg, I stayed someplace else. Never again. I have been a loyal Lopstick guest ever since. I’ve stayed in a variety of cabins from the Magalloway efficiency units, down on Back Lake, up on Perry Stream, to the bigger homes on First CT Lake-they’re all fantastic! They are very well taken care of and have everything you need for your time away. From Courtney M. with Guest Relations, to Head Fly Fishing Guide Bill B., to the great housekeeping and maintenance staff...they all do they jobs so well to ensure a memorable stay. I’ve made some really great memories in Pittsburg over the years and Lopstick has ALWAYS played a part in that. Lopstick Lodge is simply the BEST place to relax in the North Country. Give them a try-you’ll be glad you did!!!
