I visited Foxridge with my family about six years ago, and after staying there this time, I can say that there has apparently been zero improvements or upkeep for that matter. The hotel’s common areas were dirty and it had an abandoned feel, with probably three staff working at a time. The outdoor space was crawling with caterpillars and the outdoor pool flooring is in disrepair. Our hotel room was clean-ish but the bathroom fixtures are from the sixties and difficult to turn water on /off and, and one lamp didn’t work at all. Apparently the hotel allows barking dogs and clientele who swear and yell late into the night. Said barking dogs were not controlled by the owners the following day and running loose around the hotel and one tried to attack my child and come into our hotel room when the door was open. We were happy to check out and will surely not return.…
We had very high hopes for this trip based on the website and reviews! Cons- First we got directed to the wrong wing of the hotel - not a huge deal but had to carry all of our stuff around the majority of the hotel, but in the wrong direction. The sink drain plug was broken and we had to shimmy it out for the sink to drain. The bathroom light was on its last leg, and the light over the table didn’t work at all. The mini golf course had seen better days and reaching your hand into the hole to get the ball out was a bit scary as they were super dirty. The chemicals in the hot tub were so strong that it burned our noses and throats after about 5 minutes. The fridge could have used a defrosting session, as it was full of ice from the freezer. Pros- Everyone was nice and helpful. The indoor pool was great. The grounds were clean, except for the caterpillars everywhere, but they weren't brown tail, so it wasn’t too bad. The location is perfect to get anywhere you wanted to go in North Conway. The breakfast spread was great! We got there 45 minutes before it ended and they were still going out and refilling items that were empty. Overall the stay wasn’t too bad, just a few convenience things that would have made it better.…
We have been staying at Fox Ridge since 2006. My kids were little between four and nine. My son with autism was seven. We just returned and he is now 22. The resort has changed since it was sold but what has not changed is the kindness of the staff, the functional rooms, the amazing grounds, and the beautiful views. It has breakfast back and very different but tons of options including a few hot items. The game room and mini golf remain and the great playground does too. Matt the manager knows us and my kid and made sure all was special for him. The rooms are outdated but serviceable - the resort is located near everything.
The hotel location great , playground, pool is nice. Just need to be more clean I guess staff not enough they need more staff especially for weekends , staff are so friendly and helpful they are doing their best. We liked their breakfast, they have many choices. Kids enjoyed a lot we will go back again soon. Thank you
We always stay at Fox Ridge while in New Hampshire. It's a very well maintained hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are always clean. Beautiful pools inside and out. A great mini golf course wiith antique ride pieces from Storyland!! Remember to book this place next time you're in North Conway!!!
I stayed here for a few days with my family celebrating my oldest and my youngest sons birthdays , Matt was very nice and accommodating he even decorated the room and left little gift bags for them. Which they really loved the pool is big and the hot tub was nice but a little grimy. Also the pool could use a vacuuming it was full of big balls of dust or filth not sure exactly. The room was nice but we noticed under the bed had trash that wasn’t ours from the previous tenants. It had a beautiful view which we all enjoyed my children spent a lot of time outside on the porch. Unfortunately the room didn’t have a microwave which made it so we needed to order or go out for dinner every night so that was a little annoying and expensive. We enjoyed the free mini golf even if the course was unfinished they enjoyed what was there. The arcade was small and the air hockey tables weren’t working correctly , the hunting game didn’t work for aiming at all so it was a waste of money I wouldn’t recommend wasting money down there unless they get better equipment. The driving games were priced differently and one was so loud I had to cover my sons ears for him while I also tried to figure out how to shut the music off he’s sensitive to loud noises. I was also told there would be hot breakfast which was something my children were really looking forward too but when we arrived were told it wasn’t offered on weekdays that was disappointing for everyone. Lastly the fire alarm went off for over an hour during my stay around 3-5 am and woke my entire family no one apologized or even said anything about it. There was no fire and seemed like it was more an issue on there end. They looked like they were in the middle of making alot of improvements so I hope in the future if we go back my review will change to 5 star…
The hotel was safe and clean... While the decor is outdated it is not rundown. I'll take outdated and cheap over new and expensive any day. its very conveniently located on the south side of down town so getting in and out was very easy. I would definitely stay there again
Our family truly enjoyed staying here! The view was gorgeous! The room was spacious and great for 5 people! And the staff were kind, helpful and curtious. We would definitely stay here again, even with the 7:30am fire alarm wake up call! 😁
We enjoyed out stay, room was clean, breakfast was good, had a walk out patio. Water pressure in shower could have been better, but this has happened in other hotels too. Staff was very friendly. Will be coming back
My husband & I stay in room 102 this weekend. We checked in on Friday night. Sadly the bathroom was dirty, the jacuzzi had black pieces floating in it. We called the front desk to inform them & we got 2 bottles of cleaner & a bunch of little towels to clean it ourselves. I have never stayed at a place where I had to do house keeping. The TV never worked. We had no power on Saturday which we understand due to the fire but the dirty room & having to clean it ourselves is not cool. Will never recommend anyone to stay here or even go back ourselves. Maria
