It is April 30 2022 and just saw the hotel is on fire hope was no injuries and hope the hotel can get back up we had a great time everything was great food was delicious I brought my dog with us praying
We visiting for a night recently and enjoyed the waterpark onsite as well. It's great for children under 9 and definitely more geared toward the younger kids. There are a few big slides, which were fun for about an hour. Definitely not something to plan on doing for more than a day.
New management and owner ship has ruined this resort. Untrained staff, way overpriced, dirty rooms, and restaurant could serve all the guests. We were turned away an hour and a half before they closed
We went for 3 nights and my kids very much enjoyed the resort. They loved the water park and the extra activities i.e face painting, scavenger hunts and wagon rides. Breakfast was a little pricey for us and dinner didn't have a good variety.
This was a wonderful spring break trip for my kids. I have two children age 5, living with Autism and they did wonderful at this resort. I have been to others before that are way too over stimulating but this place was perfect for my little ones. Check in was a disaster. As you can imagine with children with disabilities anything off schedule is really tough for them. I specifically chose to check in AFTER check in time. My room was not ready for almost 2 hours after the fact, and when they told me they would text me when it was ready, they did not, because it was "too busy." This was the only disappointment. I paid peak pricing for a condo ($600 a night for space and quiet for my kiddos) and you would think that these would be priority to clean and have ready for someone coming in at the appropriate times. Now I will say, to have the arcade, playground and plenty of places in the area to grab snacks a bite to eat etc, it was easy to occupy your time but as I mentioned before my situation was a bit trickier because of my twins' disability. With that said, upon arrival to the condo- it was spectacular. Many reviews say that furniture is quite dated, so I was prepared. I actually felt like considering the amount of kids that probably frequent this place, and the fact that the condos are pet friendly, that they were quite nice. The large table was great. We had family dinners every night we were there. Other reviews stated that there weren't coffee makers, there was one there- with ample one-cups and cream and welcome water upon arrival. All nice touches. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of space in the rooms. Two bathrooms was awesome as my littles are potty trained but they didn't have to run upstairs to go if they had to. I was in the furthest condo away from the resort and the walk was all but 3 minutes. It was a little cold but I just put clothes over the kids suits and they were fine, It is toasty in the water park so walking out was quite refreshing if you ask me. Water park- I LOVED that this was big enough for my kids, but small enough for me. I have been to GWL a couple of times and that was overwhelming for even me- the size of the water park was great. Even though it was spring break, I never felt like it was crowded. Somehow my kids even decided to go down the water slide and it was their first time ever. I was so proud. For kids that do not understand "waiting" the lines moved so quickly for them- which you wouldn't find at others…
The hotel is nice overall and was clean. However, I would bot say it’s a resort. For the resort fee, there is no indoor pool (you have yo pay for the water park for that), no spa, and not much to do honestly. The cost of the room was really high compared to surrounding hotels and the only benefit is being able to go to the water park at a discounted rate. They also charge you for parking. You will spend a lot of money here compared to surrounding hotels. But kiddo had fun and overall, wasn’t a bad stay. Will not stay again due to high cost.
Our family had a great time at the resort and water park! Our girls really enjoyed themselves at the water park. We also had pizza at the water park, and it was pretty good. We love how the resort offers fun activities throughout the day, such as Wildlife Encounter, hot chocolate, a campfire, and a dance party. There’s also a big room with seat in area with spectacular views of the mountains, as well as an outdoor seating area. The restaurant in the resort has a good selection of food. And the staff are all very nice. Our room was very clean and comfortable for our family. Our room also had a balcony. We would highly recommend this resort and water park and can’t wait to visit, again!
Overall, the resort is nice. I expected more of the actual rom fr the price. One major sticking point for me was no coffee. There is a coffee bar where you can buy it, but that was not yet available at 7am. There should be complimentary coffee or in room coffee makers.
First off the food on site was awful. The pool area is absolutely chaos. No seating unless you get there super early. The lifeguards were clueless. I went as a kid and loved it. Definitely went downhill over the years
The best part was the Mountain View and my kids smiles at the water park. Don’t expect to eat there. Waiting list to eat. Had to leave resort with 3 kids to eat because list was too long. In AM went to get coffee and there was none either. Waterpark is very small. Good luck!
