We loved staying at this B&B. Lovely and clean room, friendly hosts and excellent food. In July the porch was perfect for lazy evenings with wine and conversations with other guests. We'd love to come back.

First time staying at Spruce Moose, but definitely won't be my last. From the moment I walked in the door Nellie made us feel at home. The entire lodge was incredibly cozy, from the constant sights and sounds of the fireplace to the tea and coffee station around the corner: everything was clean, warm and inviting. Homemade pancakes and bacon...

Second stay at Spruce Moose this MLK weekend was as perfect as last summer. Booked both stays for hiking trips nearby. Great hosts, 3 friendly dogs, common area with fireplace, clean cozy rooms, and amazing home cooked breakfast - the list goes on. Downtown North Conway is a quick walk down the street. Only wonderful things to say about my...

New Years reservation, they told me it was small, but it was fine for one night. Clean and had a friendly staff and was quiet and warm in the snowy mountains. Perfect location! I would return and book the bigger room with hot tub.

What a great place! Perfectly located halfway between Mt. Cranmore and downtown North Conway. We booked a 3 day vacation which included the Journey to the North Pole first class tickets for all 9 of us. The owners, Nellie and Leon made our stay magical. The house we rented was beautifully decorated, and the elves left cookies and a small...

Super comfortable bed, enjoyed evenings in the common room, and had two delicious gourmet breakfasts (different one each day). Quiet neighborhood, but very near North Conway shops and restaurants. Friendly dogs, too. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

We booked this B&B, based on the reviews in "tripadvisor", which were very encouraging. We booked a cottage (for 5 days) rather then the house, because we were making day several trips in the very early hours, and breakfast was too late for us. But while the main house looked lovely and exactly as the descriptions - the cottage we...

Nellie F, Owner at Spruce Moose Lodge and Cottages, responded to this review

We were very sorry to read that these guests were disappointed. We had nice conversation with them and had no idea that they had such issues. We felt so bad when we saw this review and , honestly, were taken aback. To defend our position, the guests visited at the peak of our business year and rates are the highest....

We stayed two nights/three days in the main house. The rooms were so lovely. Just what we and our friends cousins (from the UK) were looking for. Leon and Nellie went out of their way to accommodate us and were spot on and extremely helpful, to the point of cheerfully moving us to be in the room next door to...
