I called the week before and they told me swimming pool, lake, etc. But pool was NOT open the 4 days we were there. The grandkids were so disappointed. Also, asked the front desk where the relay was and told us there wasn't one that day, but there was!! It was on the activity screen.
This place is the WORST. It used to be perfect. Now it’s overcrowded and ridiculously expensive. It used to be the perfect blend of nature and serenity and family/ good old fashioned camping. It’s not camping anymore. Very sad. They have ruined all that the previous owners worked fo hard to make. At least we will hold onto our memories because we for sure will not go back! Very disappointing.
So much to do for kids and adults Staff was so great. Kind and caring Very clean They have these awesome cabins that we would love to check out on our next trip We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!
Our site was fantastic, big and spacious! Prefer the sites with crushed rock because our friends site flooded really bad one night yet ours was perfect. They are a family friendly campground and it is really quiet at night after Labor Day. Easy access for kayaking and fishing too!
Yogi Bear Campground is not like Mi-Te-Jo's. Rates sky rocketed after the transition. Campers are prohibited from bringing in your own firewood, even if you are a NH resident. You have to purchase the wood through the campground and it is not cheap. It is $90 for a pallet. If you are not able to bring in your own wood, the wood should be priced reasonably considering the new nightly rates. Many activities have an additional charge. The campground yard sale and horse shoe tournament is no more or not listed on the schedule. IMPORTANT: Be sure to prepare for bee heaven. For some reason this campground is loaded with bees and it does not matter where you are in the campground, there are lots of bees. We have camped in many campgrounds across the country over the years and we have never experienced as much contact with bees as we do when we camp at Yogi Bear in Milton, NH. Read online how to make a homemade bee trap using a water bottle. You will need many of them. The band RipChord is awesome and is the main reason we continue to go back. Hopefully, they will be able to get the pool finished and add some hot tubs that do not have to be rented at a high rate as they are now. …
stayed near water in mid august, rv site. was a good time. site was clean, all ameniities worked, people at store were friendly, no major complaints, it was a good glamping RV trip :) those that were complaining about bugs/bee's...its CAMPING..get creative
The workers here are rude. I hated this campground and made the best of it. Didn’t say anything but the way these workers talk to you is uncalled for. The positive is the site was big other then that it is not worth the $300 for 2 nights. They cancel activities without any notice unless you have some app. Well my foster kids can’t have phones and when I’m on vacation I like to disconnect myself from the world. So we missed out on a bunch of activities since they just cancel them and not because of weather. Just cause they feel like it. Didn’t see yogi at all and to see actually know you can see him is $25-60. Yeah no thank you. The campground itself is run down the baseball field volley ball court. It just seemed like a campground that is like $50 a night not $150. You have to wear a bracelet to prove you belong there??? It’s not a fancy resort at all. The lake is not deep at all. You can walk to the ropes so didn’t really feel like was anywhere to swim. Many others like it but for my family it’s not worth the price. I can go to Bayley’s for less money who has 6 swimming pools, trolly to ocean, 3 playgrounds kayaks and so much more. I could even rent a yogi costume and still be under what this place wants.…
Nice job with complex, everything was wonderful. Came a couple of hours early to have someone show me how to hook up my RV and they charged me for a full day on an empty site. My brother was there the prior week and was going to assist me in the new experience. There was three other sites rented due to my stay, so I thought that this was a little much. The facility was not used by anyone, I was by my self. Other than that everyone was very helpful on your staff.
We showed up on Friday and had to personally clean up at least 8 piles of dog poop. The site smelled horrible from it. As the weekend went on we figured out that people let there dogs out at night and they roam over and go the bathroom in this one tiny spot of trees that separated us from the beach. The owners (of the dogs never picked up after them) and apparently when the staff checks the campsite when people check out, if they even do, they do not bother to clean up this mess as well. We paid over $300 for a weekend, which is absolutely absurd for the condition.
We stayed in a Lake Bluff Bungalow. It was very nice and clean. I’ve come to stay on and off since the campground was MiTeJo and have loved it. They have added a bounce area which my daughter loved. Overall it has the same feel and we enjoyed our visit. It’s a fun campground with lots to do for kids and a lake right on the grounds with a couple small beaches. They didn’t get 5 stars because of cabin amenities. While it has all the comforts of home it is not supplied well with cooking supplies. The cabin sleeps 8 and has one small fry pan and 2 tiny pots with a 2 burner stove. It would’ve been nice to have a large pot for corn and at least another fry pan. The charcoal grill is very small like one you would find in a park. It took forever to grill food for 4 people both because of the small size and charcoal. The coffee pot is a small 2 cup pot. So you have to make more coffee right after you pour it for more cups and more people. Lastly, you don’t get the cabin you pick unless you lock it in for $15 more. It’s ridiculous the way they’re trying to get more money, it’s pricey enough. I picked a nicer site and didn’t get it because I refused to pay the extra. If it’s open at booking it should just be yours. Overall it was a good stay and while the negatives of the cabin were annoying we would come back but more prepared. Although for the price I hope Jellystone could add a few more items to make it 5 star. …
