Recently, my wife and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn for four nights. Rob and Margit, the owners, were very welcoming and provided a very clean and comfortable environment for us. The breakfasts were delicious, cooked to order, and served fresh. Our room was impeccably clean and the interior of the B&B was beautifully designed. In addition to being excellent and caring hosts, Rob and Margit provided great recommendations on where to visit and dine in the area. We loved our stay and would recommend the Ash Street Inn to anyone. Laurence v.

My wife and I stayed here while we attended a fruit conference. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. We pretty much had access to the whole place, gas fired fireplace in the common room, beer in the fridge, Keurig for coffee, tea etc. and Christmas cookies! Breakfast the next morning was excellent. They let us keep our parked there after we checked out so we didn't have to pay or parking at the conference center. The room was very nice and cozy (cotton bathrobes). the room was a little bit warm to these Mainers liking but we didn't need many blankets.

Recently stayed here for a three day stay with my husband. I grew up in Manchester but now live out of town. Although I could have stayed with family, we decided to treat ourselves based on the reviews we read. We are so glad we did! This place balances quaint (original stained glass windows) with modern (great hot water system/shower pressure). The hosts, Rob and Margit, are definitely in the right business...just really nice people. The kind of people that make us want to come back. As for food, they make homemade breakfasts. We are vegan, and we are used to having toast and fruit for breakfast. Not here. They made us vegan scrambles and vegan pancakes. And it was delicious. Super clean place too, which is important. All in all, a five star as far as I'm concerned. I guarantee you...if you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

We absolutely love this gem of an Inn! Margit and Rob were fabulous hosts, and the Inn itself was delightful. The room was well appointed, quiet, and pleasant in every way. Breakfast was delicious, and we loved the afternoon scones. They even had unsweetened almond milk to drink with those, which was an unexpected treat! Thanks so much for a truly lovely stay. We will hope to return.
