After an initial issue with the original room, we settled into our short trip. The room offers river views (behind it is the road, but noise overshadowed mostly by the river). Hallway noise was at a minimum. The hotel has some amenities that are better than comparable other hotels (not just compared to the local area). Pool, hot tub (with great sunrise/sunset views/sky). Dinner and bar have a very good variety. Breakfast above standard (comparable) with good eggs/roasted potatoes, sausage/bacon/bread/yogurt/cinnamon roll/coffee. They also have a great little shop inside the hotel with everything needed (sweater, toothbrush, drinks, snack bar etc), and everything is more or less at cost. Parking is in a garage, safe against the weather. There is also a spa in the hotel, with a full line of high end beauty products, and massage room. A shoutout to Scott, licensed massage therapist, who was absolutely great!! The service team throughout the hotel was very friendly and supportive. We went hiking up Mt. Washington. The distance to the cog railway was about 45 minutes. I would consider staying at this hotel again!…
Stayed in the resort for the second time with daughter’s family, enjoyed the pool’s gondola ride ,activity’s on top of the mt. very present staff! Food very good at the Black diamond pub, great breakfast buffet! Wait staff was great with the grandchildren, stetting a great tone for the meal. Very aware of children’s needs as well as the rest of us. I check my bill on the way out found an err, it was quickly corrected. Looking forward to our next visit!
Chris greeted us warmly at check in. He gave practical suggestions to make our stay pleasant. I do a lot of volunteer work with Jehovah’s Witnesses. On the second day of our stay, Mr. Ed, Front Desk Manager, went out of his way to allow me to use a conference room to give an interactive 30-minute presentation on Zoom. The topic was on the importance of letting go resentment and on the benefits of Forgiveness. His help added to the quality of my presentation. There was an issue with our takeout supper on the night we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Guy, the Maître D in The Black Diamond Pub, not only made it right, but arranged for sparkling wine and strawberry cheesecake to be delivered to our room – on the house. The Ribeye steak and Scallops were outstanding by the way. Guy personally checked with us later to make sure we were well looked after. A nice touch. Cleanliness was impeccable, even the corners of the rugs in hallway and every corner of our studio were very clean. It was a most enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this for a getaway.…
Booked this suite through Groupon. Great deal!!!! The only pictures I saw of the rooms were outdated. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and our suite was updated. It is right next to loon mountain which is super convenient if you want to ski or go downhill mountain biking. There are 2 pools 1 indoor and 1 outdoor with a few hot tubs.
What a great family vacation. The hotel is clean, staff very polite and accommodating. Plenty to do at the resort. We had a suite and it was large with a wonderful view. I thought it was a great value for the price and have already recommended to friends.
We’ve come to the Mountain Club for a few years and each year it seems like there is less they offer, although the price goes up every year. I know covid impacted a lot of things but I’ve seen other establishments make up for the loss in a better way. They no longer offer gondola rides (apparently Loon Mountain upped their prices), no more socials, strict/no sub packages and “coupons”. For example, you get a $50 spa coupon but can only use it on two of the services which cost at least $100. You get a $25 dinner voucher but have to use it on two entrees only. Just little things like this add up. The staff, however, is always very friendly and helpful (especially the Black Diamond Pub staff). Also, how can small motels have a mini fridge in their rooms yet the club rooms here still don’t? We likely will take a break for a couple years and look elsewhere.…
Better than expected. Service was great, food was okay. Room perfect. If your looking for a fun family vacation this is the place to go. Kids, 2 and 5, loved it. Close to all attractions and great restaurants.
Although the atmosphere was quiet and actual amenities were turned off e.g. they turned off the fireplace in the lobby as the "season was over" despite the fact it was still snowing it was a fun visit
We had a good stay at the Mountain Club. Location is 5 stars. It's a hard hotel to figure out at first...we couldn't find our ski lockers and met others looking for theirs as well. After talking to the front desk, I still couldn't find them right away. The staff was friendly. Would be 5 stars but the fridge in the room was extremely loud and the window leaked during a downpour. But, it wasn't enough to actually complain.
I've been coming here since I was 15 years old (I'm 46 now), and this is the worst experience I've ever had here. Our room smells like an open sewer. It's disgusting and unsanitary. Mgmt ionized the room on the first evening (after we complained) but there's something fundamentally wrong with the plumbing systems...the smell keeps returning, sometimes to the point you can't open the bathroom door for fear of vomiting. I've had a pounding headache for 24 hrs, and have been sick to my stomach due to the odor. Frankly, this is a hazard the board of health should be made aware of. I can't believe I've paid what I've paid to subject myself to this experience. At this point I will not be coming back, nor will I be recommending this facility to any of my mountain loving friends.
