Overall our we were very satisfied with our visit. The "somewhat Satisfied" rating was due to a few small issues concerning miner maintenance. These were things that were apparent when we arrived except for one bulb that blew just after arrival. We listed the few issues which maintenance took care of within a couple of hours.I blame the people that stayed there before us for not alerting the "desk" of these few issues.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay via Groupon . We upgraded to a suite, which I recommend . 1st the accommodations, the bed was very comfortable, room had a small balcony which was nice . The suite room was fine but very dated. The furniture needs to be updated. The restaurant was excellent . We had a $25 voucher for 2 nights and free breakfast. Breakfast had to be taken to room and it was excellent . For dinners we had Blackend Trout, Sea Scallops , Cheeseburger ,and Rib Eye and all were fantastic. Menu is very limited right now, but was not an issue . The staff in dining room were great as was the check in person. The dining room could use tablecloths but probably because of COVID. If you’ll go before ski season ,just check what is open . Gondola does not run Tuesday and Wednesday’s . There is free WiFi but it’s sketchy.Overall it’s a nice getaway.

The room was clean. The view was wonderful. You could see the foliage on the mountain. We stayed in room 1331. The rooms are small. The jacuzzi tubs jets didnt work. But the trip was nice. The gondola was attached to the hotel. They gave us free tickets to the gondola. Picture from the top of loon mountain.

Following all the Covid rules, after months of Staying at home we decided to try a road trip. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. They follow every safety precaution and try to accommodate your requests. Ed who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. We had a room with a kitchen and brought our own food . We requested to be near stairs to avoid the elevator. The rooms are cleaned and then sealed so no one enters until you arrive. There is no maid service, so no one else enters your room. Everything appears well sanitized. The views on the riverside were lovely. We enjoyed our balcony and the mountains changing colors was spectacular. The location was perfect for us . It is on the Kancamagus Highway. The Franconia Notch was only about 15 minutes away. Also there is a Pricechopper nearby for restocking. This lodge worked out perfectly for us.

This place was probably great back in the day, but in 2020 it has very much seen better days! It is in need of major renovations, from the front lobby to the dining area to the pools to every other part of the property. We visited and considered staying but didn't end up after doing an extensive look around the property and interacting with several staff. The buffet was $32 per person for what looked like a cheap selection of pasta and other low end offerings. Certainly not appetizing. The indoor pool was overflowing with small children and a strong chlorine smell. Very unappealing! The gift shop is the size of a broom closet with very limited offerings. Parking is difficult, and the parking staff was extremely rude! Horrible attitude by young staff who were way too junior to be exhibiting the sort of bad behavior and rudeness they expressed. Very rude. The buildings seem like an old resort that was probably a nice place back in the day but today it's the kind of place where they'd be better off tearing it down and starting over. There are much better options!
