We hiked here with our 7 and 9 year old and they loved the whole hut experience. Clean comfy bunkhouse, loads of fresh food at dinner, very social cosy and friendly. Right by the falls where you can bathe al fresco. Really fun helpful staff, small reading library,

Had a great time skiing into and out of the hut, and spending the night one sub-zeroF night in January. The hut keeper was gracious, and kept indoor temps in the main area above freezing. However, the bedrooms were about the same temperature as outdoors. Lovely view, nice river next to the hut. We were able to cook our own... More

This was my first time at an AMC Hut, and overall the experience was excellent, and I'll definitely want to do it again. I went with two teenage kids, and they quite enjoyed the experience too. The hut is just a short hike (2.7 miles, mostly flat other than the last 0.2mi climb) from the parking lot, and is an... More

Lovely hut. Go if you can. Great staff, excellent food, beautiful hike. Go. Now. You won't regret it. Take the family! This hut is remote and getting to it is well worth the effort. Thank you AMC for this wonderful service!

A snowshoe to Zealand Hut up and over A to Z trail and then out Ethan Pond Trail. We went with a group of 14 from work. The hikes into the hut offer a variety from beginner to experienced. A perfect trip for getting to know people. A beautiful view from the porch. The beds offer many personal amenities from... More

This was my second stay at an AMC Hut... the first was at Galehead Hut last September. When I stayed at that hut during a similar time (late September, middle of the week) there were only 8 guests and it was very quiet. I had hoped for a similar situation this time around as I was staying at Zealand Falls... More

I've been to this hut many times over the years, and it's always a great place to stop, eat a piece of coffee cake or a freshly made muffin, talk with other hikers, and check out the log books from years gone by. It's great that there's a hut like this that's a relatively easy hike for families so everyone... More

What a fabulous stay!! The falls are beautiful and the food was incredible. The hike up to the hut is easy, although the last 1/10 of a mile is a bit of a steeper climb on rocks. There are also some great hikes to take once you are at Zealand Falls.

Perfect for family and beginner hikers. It was our second hike (Lonesome Lake last year). This hike was a little longer but easier. Hut sits next to some falls which were fun to be in after building up a little sweat. Kids had a great time and met others their ages. The sleeping accomodations were larger rooms than Lonesome, which... More

This hut is the most unique of all the AMC huts. It has everything. You can hike over 2, 4,000 ft mountains or you can take the Zealand trail located on the bed of an old railroad track and almost level. The Coo turns out fantastic meals. The skit in the morning is always well done and brings out laughs... More
