It was very clean, it had a pool and right across the lane from our favorite restaurant, The Common Man. In a very desirable area, and central to all local attractions. Managers were extremely helpful, and pleasant. They allowed us an early check in by several hours.

We Stayed at the Kangamangus Lodge last week for 2 nights with our granddaughters last week We found the lodge to be a little outdated and in need of some repairs but it was very clean. Had dinner one night at C J’s, and we enjoyed it. Very close to the ice castles! I really only have one complaint and it was the pool. Not sure how much chlorine is used but my granddaughters faces broke out with a rash and around there eyes were all red. The worst was their hair. It took me over 2 hours to comb both of there hair. It was stiff and straw like and just full of knots. It took 3 good washings and almost a whole bottle of conditioner to get it back to almost normal. I would stay again but stay away from the pool

Thank you for sharing your feedback following your recent stay. We're pleased to hear that you found the Kancamagus Lodge clean and enjoyed your dinner at C J’s. We apologize for the issues your granddaughters experienced with the pool, and we take this matter seriously. We are working to improve the pool conditions, due to a faulty chlorinator, to ensure a better experience for our guests in the future. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more enjoyable stay.

An affordable option in a ski town. Great location and the owners were incredibly nice giving us recommendations for meals. We didn't use the pool as we felt it was too cold for our picky tastes, but the showers were warm and welcoming. We would stay there again.

We stayed overnight at the Lodge to visit Ice Castles NH. It's a quaint, homespun kind of place, what we would have called a "motor lodge" when taking family vacations in the 1970s, with individual room doors onto the parking lot. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. Decent amount of towels and electrical outlets. Room is snug for two people, perfect for one. The heating was quiet and very easy to fine-tune. The one disappointment was the pool not being heated, which wasn't fun in February.

Thank you for choosing The Kancamagus Lodge for your stay and sharing your experience. We're delighted to hear that you found our "motor lodge" cozy and reminiscent of a bygone era, with clean and well-appointed rooms. We appreciate your feedback regarding the pool temperature, which we keep at 83 degrees, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We'll certainly look into ways to improve this aspect for our guests. We hope to welcome you back for another cozy stay on your next visit to the area.

Stayed here for a weekend trip in February. Given that this is one of the cheaper places to stay in the area, we weren’t expecting the Ritz. However, we did expect to have basic necessities like hot water. We had 3 rooms booked in our party. Out of the 3, two had no hot water and the other only had hot water for about 3 minutes per shower. We did try calling but weren’t able to get anyone to assist us. Other issues we faced: The deadbolts on the doors were extremely hard to lock and unlock. There is no housekeeping during your stay. The room had an unpleasant musty smell. Our balcony room overlooked the highway and it was extremely loud until about 11:30 every night, and then again starting at about 5:30-6am every morning. The worst was part of our stay was what the pool did to my daughter’s hair. She spent maybe 20 minutes to a half hour in the pool and her hair was DESTROYED. This has never happened to her before (even when she’s spent nearly the entire day at other pools). I don’t know if the pool is over-chlorinated or what, but I’ve never seen a pool do this. I’ve washed my daughter’s hair about 7 times, deep conditioned it even more, and her hair was still completely fried. It took me soaking her hair in baby oil to get it back to a semblance of normal. On the plus side, the beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the staff we encountered during our stay seemed very nice. If you need a place to crash for a weekend ski trip, this will probably suit you just fine but I wouldn’t recommend it for a family trip.

This place is centrally located, directly across the street from Loon mountain and right next to the Common Man restaurant. We went up to snow mobile and the front desk gave us a great recommendation, when all of the places we checked out were full, the place they suggested was one exit up, got us right in, and was PHENOMENAL. We also did Ice Castles which was just 2 miles up the road. The Lodge itself is very dated but it was very clean- like a grandmother’s house. Not necessarily pretty, but not at all dirty so it was just nostalgic lol. The price was right, the location superb, and the staff were great. CJ’s sports pub is downstairs and Ryan the bartender in there was great! Overall, I was surprised by the dated look, but completely impressed at the same time. We’d definitely come back, it does the job for what we needed. They even have a pool, though we didn’t get a chance to use it, it’s a nice perk. Thanks, KL!

Unexpectedly pleasant. You never know what you will find up North in Ski Country but this Lodge was great. The steam showers are AMAZING! Staff are friendly and the rooms were a bit larger and had a chess table. Short walk to their restaurant. I did not use the pool but my family did. Quick rode to ski slope and other restaurants. I would stay there again!

We stayed for one night for a quick weekend trip to ski at Loon. Most other places in the area had a 2-3 night minimum stay so we chose the Kancamagus Lodge. The owners/staff were extremely nice and the room we had was dated but very clean. We found the beds to be comfy and slept well.

Our children were on a school trip and the lodge “lost”all their passports! Don’t stay here. My child was so miserable here before even the passport fiasco, beds were hard as rocks, not enough blankets, room was falling apart, no lock on bathroom door, one set of drawers provided for between 4 children. Absolutely disgraceful. Don’t give the lodge anything to look after, it will disappear.
