This camp ground is everything!!! It was the perfect balance of camping and amenities. The 3 1/2 hour ride from Rhode Island made it so exciting for our kids, especially driving through the mountains. From the first day I booked it till the day we left the family and staff at Mountain Lake Campground was great! They helped figure out what campsites would work best for our four families and even let us add an additional night at the end of our stay. The bathrooms are super clean as well as the entire campground pool and lake. The only rule they have is no music which kind of bummed us and believe me we tried to keep it low and sneak it but we always got caught! Other than that the campground is very relaxed about everything else. I know that rules are rules for a reason and the reason for this rule is probably to keep everybody safe and having a good time. We didn’t have to worry about our kids riding bikes all over the campground alone there’s no excessive partying or drinking everyone seems to be just having a good time in their own space. The absolute best part of our trip was the Black bear that ransacked our campsite… Which We were told is very rare Even though we were in bear country. The owners said bc of the drought the beer had no berries or food so I guess he went looking for chocolate and marshmallows LOL. He was nothing to be afraid of as he was not afraid of us. He was very well adapted to the campgrounds and campers. We did not fear him as he was no threat to us (they don’t eat people) It made this feel like we were really Camping since we are from the city we never thought we would get to see this!!!! The campground offers canoes kayaks and other fun activities for families to do together also lake swimming is an option if you want as well as fishing. We definitely will be back!

View from 76a .... beautiful scenery. First time here and, unfortunately, only for 1 night but it is a very clean campground beautifully maintained. They have a lot of activities including big chess and checkers play area, beautiful new playground and of course the water slides. You can swim in the lake as well with canoes and padsle boats as options to explore. People are friendly and helpful

We just arrived home from a 12 day RV trip. We stayed at 4 different RV resorts and this was our least favorite. It was small, overcrowded, loud, and way overpriced. Although it was well maintained, it was double the price of much nicer and larger parks we visited. If you are a young family with children and dogs then you may like it here. We were traveling with neither. There were kids all over the place riding bikes and dogs continuously barking. We left two days early and didn’t ask for any money back just because we were so ready to leave and go somewhere quieter. Don’t reserve site 97, it is literally the shoulder of the road that goes through the camp. We were shocked that it was even a site when we saw it.

CUSTOMER SERVICE... this can make or break a business. You can have a nice place but if you don’t treat your customers well you can’t expect them to give you a good recommendation. I find that is being lost in society today. Perfect example, I was simply appalled and cannot believe the treatment I received at Mountain Lake Campground in Lancaster, NH. Not one of the younger employees took the time the to EXPLAIN. why they have asked you to do something. Don’t get me wrong, our music was playing but not loudly at all and I will admit when I am wrong we were playing music and apparently you can’t, imagine that no music🥺. But my point is, that not one employee used customer service skills and not one was polite or even had a smile. Unfortunately the incident escalated and the owner came down and I tried to explain I had just been to the office and got the rules and understood. She was very rude and snarky and upset my husband even more, which of course now upsets me and I don’t upset easily. Once again she should have taken one minute to listen, just listen instead of charging in like the police. We and all of our many friends who were here this week will not be coming back and they definitely would not be recommending you stay here. I was told by a couple of times by other visitors they would not go back to this campground. I have cross posted this on the many RV camping sites that I belong too. CUSTOMER SERVICE is what is all about. I do not recommend this campground and will never be back here, nor will my friends. The funny thing about it is that we were forewarned about this campground and did not believe it to be true. So my rant is done and I suggest if you are going to spend your hard earned money to camp, don’t do it here. I highly recommend KOA in Littleton/Lisbon NH!!!! And btw you can play your music, we give them a Grade “A” and Mountain Lake a Grade “F”.

We stayed here for the first time while vacationing at Santa’s Village. So far the best campground we have found. It’s on the smaller size, which I liked. Can walk the whole grounds. Excellent (clean!) pool with water slides. Arcade room, life size checkers and chess, playground, boat rentals, fishing and a pond. We didn’t swim in the pond because it didn’t look the cleanest, but the pool was immaculate. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned at least twice daily and it showed. Impressed with the how clean they were. Sites were nice. Would recommend a site on the perimeter if you have a tent. The ones in the middle weren’t very private. Would definitely stay here again !
