Several restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores. About anything you need within 30 minutes or less of an easy drive. Resort had many games within walking distance. Indoor pool was great. Exercise equipment and sauna by pool.

Better than we could have imagined. Clean spacious rooms. Immaculate bathrooms and kitchen. Pool was awesome. Loved playing racquetball, pool, and ping pong. Walked to the nearby trails to go snowshoeing. Beautiful area. Can’t wait to go back this summer. Every one at front desk was friendly, very attentive and helpful. Our new favorite vacation spot!

Building 2, ground floor, 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. Very spacious & clean with a fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher & clothes washer/dryer, balcony. Since it seems to be a mostly summer resort area, there were not many guests in March & we enjoyed the quiet. We had the nice indoor pool & huge hot tub to ourselves - jets in hot tub aren't very strong, but water temp was nice. Location is nice, close to area activities, although everything was closed at this time of year. Our only dissatisfaction was with the staff. While they weren't rude, we constantly got the feeling that we were "bothering them". We arrived late, about 10pm & were checked in by an individual at the main building, who we later found out was "only a security guard" & that we arrived "after hours". We had never received any info that we needed to check in by a certain hour! The next day - as we are all sitting in our pajamas, the door to our condo opens!! They checked someone else into our room & gave them a keys! We both smiled about it, but when we went to the desk to report this, the staff acted like it was OUR fault - saying "it is not the responsibility of security to enter guests into the computer, so they had no way of knowing we were in the condo". We bluntly told them that they needed to update their system of checking guests in at night, or to advise guests to report back to the front desk in the morning! It was unbelievable that they were trying to blame US that they checked 2 guests into the same room !! Additionally, the TV in the living room did not work, & it took 2 days (2 phone calls & an additional trip to the main building) before someone finally came to fix it. We actually waited up several hours one night because we were told "they would be there as soon as they could" & we didn't want to miss them. At check out we wanted to report that the hose on the dryer that kept popping out, & 2 other minor details that we thought they should address, so that the next guest would have a nice stay - but the staff wouldn't even look at us, even though there were no other guests they were helping. As we tried to tell them about the things that needed to be fixed, they kept cutting us off, staring at computers, saying "ok thank you" before we could even finish our sentences. Again, no one was ever outright rude (in fact when the guy finally showed up to fix the tv he was very pleasant) but those who work front desk could use a few lessons in customer service & professionalism.

We had a wonderful winter weekend away! We absolutely loved the pool area. Great for families with kids! The sauna was a great bonus for the adults. The condo had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. Our family cannot wait to come back for another visit.

I am blown away by some of these other reviews. This resort has always been a place for families. With Fun Spot and Kellerhaus right down the road, and Weir Beach very close-by, it’s a perfect getaway for families with children. My family and I have had a timeshare at The Summit since they opened. I was about a year old, I believe and we purchased one right away. This place has been a safe haven, a second home, and now, a place to make memories with my own children. The condos are spacious and have a personal, apartment-like feel. The bedrooms are large enough for families and well kept. The bathrooms are phenomenal. The amenities building is absolutely wonderful for families with it’s large, clean pool, water slides, and hot tub. Does some of the decor need a bit of updating? Yes. Can you possibly hear children playing? Also yes. However, this is a wonderful family resort with so many more pros than cons. I am very happy I’m able to continue the tradition of yearly visits here with my family for over 40 years!

The grills outside the units were nice. Check in people were smug and not very friendly! Pool was nice! Location was good. Nice to have games and puzzles available. Would have been nice to have an elevator instead of walking up 3 flights of stairs to get to our unit.

At the resort, we had a very nice visit with a few of our family members. The rooms were very clean, however, when we took the dishes out of the cabinets there was food on quite a few of the dishes and pans. The dish soap, dishcloths, and potholders were also missing. When we called the front desk they provided the items and we washed all of the items.

Stayed 5 nights in an executive suite/condo (highest level) with 2 young children (2 & 5). I had stayed here as a child 20 years ago which is what brought me back. I will say everything was pretty much the same, which is good and bad. The good: 1. Everything about the kitchen - appliances worked well, had all the kitchen tools necesssary which was great because we ate in all but 1 meal. It was also nice to have a propane grill right outside the building which I used 3 out of 5 nights 2. Most of the rest of the condo: Both bathrooms were very nice, washer and dryer were easy to use and very convenient. Very clean, plenty of room. Climate control worked very well, which was great considering we were in the middle of a heat wave. 2. Amenities: Not going to blow you away but had good direct TV, nice televisions in the living room and both bedrooms (helpful with the kids). Playground was very nice as was the tennis court, horse shoe pit and cornhole. Kids loved the pool, waterslides were great, and it was nice to have a shallower small pool for little kids as well. For the adults the roman spa was excellent. 3. Staff was very friendly and helpful whenever needed. 4. Location is perfect - your 5-15 mins from all of the area attractions as well as walmart and grocery stores, but the resort is set back in the woods and is very quiet, so you don't feel like you're in the middle of a resort area. The bad: Not a whole lot really 1. Check in girl left a little to be desired, was not very helpful and the questions I did ask her she didn't really give me good answers to. 2. The furniture was 50/50. Patio furniture was nice, the 2 chairs in the living room were nice, but the couch was not so much, you could feel the springs in your back. It was passable but could use an update. The beds were also just okay, we've slept on better and worse, but the only big issue was the pillows. my kids were ok, but I had to go buy my own pillow as I went through the first 2 nights feeling like a piece of plywood was underneath. I figured it was easier to just buy one than to ask for another and run into the same problem. Slept much better after that. Overall, it's not going to blow you away with luxury, but for the price you can't find much better. We were very comfortable, had plenty of space, and would definitely go back if we decide to vacation in central NH again.

Pluses: The apartment-like feel and large size of each unit was great because our kids are getting older. They are too old to share a bed, so the twin beds were good. We also liked having a parents' bedroom and parents' bathroom. There were 3 TVs in the unit as well as a kitchen with full size fridge. The pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. Lots of sports equipment, board games, and puzzles. Location is excellent - quiet, but close to everything. Having free laundry in our unit was very convenient. Minuses: As others note, floors were thin. We could hear people moving around above us, taking showers, etc. Luckily, they were quiet at night. Neutrals: Some minor maintenance issues but nothing major. Unit was very clean. Main bed was very firm. Some of the decor is dated, though they are updating. Buildings are not attached to amenities building, but this is not a problem in the summer. We plan to stay here in the future.
