1/4 mile to where it happens, boardwalk at Weirs Beach Laconia NH. Restaurants, stores, beach, kids game rooms. boat rentals, miles of shore line, close to Boston. very close to the action. boardwalk at Weirs Beach Laconia NH.

First time to this campground. As we prefer more wilderness types of camping our initial reaction to all the seasonal trailers and close proximity of the campsites was "what have we done"? After setting up our tents on site 13, we realized that by parking our car between our tents and the road really eliminated the lights on cars coming down the road. The site was surprisingly quiet at night except for a couple of deisel trucks that were abnormally loud that came and went many times. The facilities were really clean and cared for. All of the golf carts were annoying as some appeared to not care if you didn't move out of their way! So, except for the abnormally loud trucks on each side of us, and the irritating golf carts, it was a very pleasant weekend. The office people were very helpful and nice. As we were checking out we asked the few people in the office drinking coffee, where could we get a good breakfast. They all said to try George's. we did, and it was wonderful!
It was the ending of a wonderful weekend.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our campground. Try coming back after Labor Day when the rates drop $10 per night and it is really quiet!

My boyfriend and I left a terrible campground early and came here instead...the front office treated us wonderfully from the minute we got here...the sites are well maintained and we had a site right on the cove...WELL worth the money. bathrooms are typical campground style...very clean though. no complaints...i will be back!

Thank you for your review and I am glad we were able to turn your camping trip around. Our staff works hard to maintain the grounds and we feel clean bathrooms are important. Come see us again!

This campground was referred to us by friends who camped here years ago. It is a safe place to go with children and close to all the action downtown, but I was astonished by their staff that goes around on a golf cart late at night to act as "patrol men." I understand rules need to be followed (which we understood. They give you a sheet of rules) but she was very rude right off the bat! The lady told my family quiet hours would be coming up soon and slurred almost every word of her statement and wreaked of alcohol. We were a little upset by her demeanor and brushed it off to enjoy the rest of vacation. The next day while enjoying the cute little beach (great for our kids), I overheard what seemed to be elderly seasonal campers discussing this infamous "security couple" and how much they get away with while drinking on the job. Maybe they're family members of the owners so they think its okay? Either way, we've told many friends her approach was a downer to our trip and our children sensed something was up with us.

Nonetheless, the office staff is very nice and helpful to find fun places nearby. I just don't think its a getaway spot for friends to enjoy camping "like the old days." Not sure we would rebook based on the negative vibes we received around the campground.

From the time we arrived, the owners made us feel very comfortable. Our camp site was right at the bath house. At first I thought, "OMG, what did I do?!", but the site was actually very nice. Once set up, we parked our truck to the back of the site for more privacy. The site was clean and fairly large. There was even an area for us to set up our hammock. The bath house is very clean, as is the whole campground. It was a very quiet and relaxing week, as most of the campground is seasonals. Weirs Beach is a short walk, and many other tourist attractions are very close by: Kellerhaus, Fun Spot, go carts, etc.). We will definitely go back.

We have been going there for 3 years the first year we were there for one weekend the second year we were there for the for the whole Bike Week. We had car trouble and we're late getting there I called them 5 times to tell them not to rent Us site we are coming we had to pay somebody $300 to tow a camper up there, and lo and behold they put us on their website as a no-show and rented out a site I was very upset after paying $300 to have our camper to go there and the response I got from them was keep it up and you won't be coming back here at all. They tried to say that I only made one phone call so when we got there I showed the woman behind the desk all five phone calls that I had conversations with them about us showing up late now mind you we already sent our deposit. They ask the people to move and we were given a site for the 9 days. We get home a month later I send the deposit for this year never received anything I finally contacted them they only have records of us being there one year I sent them pictures cuz we had a tent the first year the camper the second year to prove that would been there but they have no idea that we were there. And lo and behold they rented our campsite for the first weekend I have it in print on an email I said okay you know what we'll take it for that week and the weekend after they stopped answering my emails, finally got back to me and said oh no it's all rented so once again they lied. I have never in my life been treated so rude and disrespected these people should be ashamed of themselves. They have no idea on how to take or keep a reservation and they constantly lie. You can show them proof and black and white and they will stand there and tell you it's not true.

What a great campground this is! Camped here this past weekend for the 1st time and we were very impressed. This campground is mainly for seasonal users, but have some great spots available for transient campers. Right on the water and flat sites which made it easy to set up the camper. The folks who run the campground were friendly, as were many of the campers we met over the weekend. Bathrooms and showers very clean and regularly attended to. The location can't be beat. It was a 20 - 25 min walk from our site to downtown Weirs beach and about a 20-25 min drive to Loudon.

Have to say between the weather and the campground this was the best camping weekend of our summer. Will definitely be back next year!

The camp staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable! We were directed to the next town over for a delicious meal at a restaurant called the town docks. And it was worth it!
Campsites had small dividers giving you privacy and the bathrooms are meticulously maintained! We would definitely come back again!!

Just got back from a relaxing three days at Paugus Bay. The staff could NOT be friendlier and the free hot coffee at the office in the morning was delicious!
The showers were clean and bright white fiberglass, not your typical dank and scary showers. It is a short walk to Weirs Beach and a short drive (less than a mile) to many other fun attractions.
The lake was warm and had a platform that the kids loved to hang out on offshore. The beach is raked daily and there is plenty of room for a campground this size.
I will say our campsite was located closest to the lake (112) and was quite private, but it is the only site without lake views. I will be going back here, but will request another site, as they all had stunning views overlooking the lake as the land is not flat but upgraded away from lake.
All in all, book this campground and you will not be disappointed!

Our site, #85 was tightly tucked in amongst all these seasonal spots where people have their trailers and mobile homes. The first night was a Saturday, and I think it was the last hurrah for the seasonals. Campfires went late into the night. (I heard voices until 11:45pm) The next day, practically everyone left, and it was so quiet.

They had some empty spots down by the water. I doubt we'll come back to this campground, but if we did I'd see if we could try a space down there (if there's one big enough for a 40' motorhome).

Thank you for your review. We encourage our campers to call our number if there is noise beyond our quiet hour of 11PM on weekends and we will come down and address it immediately. I apologize for the noise and will mention this to our security people. We do have a couple of sites down by the water that can accomodate a 40 ft camper. Wifi is available around the office area. I do hope you will give us another chance.
