To the Owner. I should bring this matter to your attention early but I waited until my trip ended. After a long drive from Bar Harbor to your location, I checked in on October 1, room 12. The atmosphere, the view, the room were very nice. My wife and I took a walk down to the beach, looked at the restaurant menu and wanted to have some drinks later at the beach before getting to Blue Bistro for dinner. When we sat down at the beach, we ordered some drinks, but it started getting cold so we talked to the manager to pay for our drinks and take our drinks to the restaurant. The hostess was nice to seat us without a reservation, but it went downhill from there. A waiter in a black uniform approached us and when he saw our drinks on the table, he was very rude and demanding. He questioned us, "What are these?" in a very loud tone. I advised they were drinks from the beach. He raised his voice again, "Where and what are these??" Then he yanked the wine glass off the table, almost knocking down my drink glass at the same time. Then he pull the wine bottle so hard that cause the menu dropdown the floor. A few minutes later, a female hostess walked to our table and told us we could not drink here. I asked, "Even if our drinks are from the beach bar? She raise her voice also -- "He (the waiter) told me no, you are not allow." My wife and I decided to walk out. The waiter started to stare, and provoked us with his hands on his hips, walking toward us on our way out to the door. We walked faster to try to get back to our room downstairs. When we walk out of the door and turned right to go downstairs to our room, the hostess was yelling and laughing at us from behind, and calling out loud to the manager that we were carrying our drinks around. A hostess stopped when she saw I pulled out our room key. Then she said, "Oh you stay here, you can come back for your table." No, my money will go somewhere else, not here." I replied. We walked back to our room in disbelief, scared that the waiter may come to our room looking for us. We double locked our doors, blocked it with the love seat...it was terrible feeling and regretted that we layover night at your resort. We want you to take this matter very seriously and retrain your people. Tell them that they have to serve all the customers equally. Also remind them that they work for tips and they get pay by your customers ' money thru the management. You may contact me at my email address or phone number if requested. This letter will be a review on Yelp and travel advisory pages. Thank you…
The resort staff was very friendly especially the dock staff. We stayed in the cabins overlooking the lake it was a great experience the parking for the trailer was on site. The docks had plenty of space for rental boats and owned boats. If you plan to stay on the lake I highly recommend this location.
The NASWA restaurant Blue Bistro is one of the best we have had the pleasure to eat at. Correctly priced so being your wallet but well worth it. The service is impeccable with people at your becon call and cleaning everything at all times. Rooms are good size clean and comfortable. The location is sprawled out over a campus that crosses the road from the beach. Be aware not all water view rooms are on same side of road as others but still have a view with small balcony. Two restaurants a beach entertainment all in one location. We cannot wait to return.
Gross, mold in shower, the grossest room I have ever stayed in. Stay away, so disgusting. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. I need to write more for this review, so let me write gross 100 times, gross!!
This place is terrible. Everything is way to expensive. Carpet was filthy. Do not take off shoes. Web site says pet friendly. Not true, only in some rooms and make you pay $75.00 per night for pet. Place is very out dated. Best part is the bar and the service. My family was looking forward to staying here all summer. What a massive let down. NEVER AGAIN.
Rooms are old no curtains, mattresses are really old and cheap you literally sink into them . The pictures show this great colorful "resort" I promise you that isn't the case . We were in cabin 28 at the wrong end of the "resort" because we didn't have beach front it was all restaurant & seating I could go on and on but hope you get the picture until they update this place competitive we won't be back NOT worth $250 night. The crew was extremely nice and accommodating
Great place but they advertised breakfast on weekends that they didn't have and fire pits at night that never happened. Kitchen closed at 9:30 and skimpy on the Naswa Platter.$17 for 3 mozzarella stick, 3 tenders and 3 onion rings. Felt robbed. Drinks are great, resort prices (expected) .
Had the best day at the Naswa. Food is so good and such a great location. There was an 80’s band and they were so fun. Our waitress Liza was so amazing, so friendly and she made our visit so fun. We will absolutely be back.
I expected better from a resort that said "world famous" on it's sign, no pool, an unpleasant cot(not enough real beds for everybody), ducks roaming the bar and grill area, bugs everywhere, internet only works in areas like the hotel rooms and the eating areas, it's just another mothertrucking generic tourist trap,
Love EVERYTHING about this place ! Great owners n staff ! Comfy rooms with beautiful view ! Yummy food m great fun ! It’s perfect ! We will absolutely visit again ! I can’t say enough great things about it ! Perfect vaca !
