We had a mini family reunion at the Jefferson Inn and we found everyone to be very helpful and accommodating. Out of a group of 16, 4 have serious food allergies. Each morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast that everyone could enjoy. There were activities for the children and quiet areas for the adults. We are all looking forward to another trip next year.
These people had us booked in advance only to be told we cannot stay there due to them being overbooked. At least they refunded our money. They refused to supply a reason as to why our reservations were cancelled - we suspect it is because they found someone willing to book short notice and pay more for the room. Either way it was very unprofessional. The person on the phone was also rude and dismissive and sounded like a common New Englander. I could hear her talking through her hands even over the phone. RUDE!
If you are looking for quiet and a tranquil sleep give the Jefferson Inn a try. I stayed for one evening. Linda greeted me at the door and welcomed me the entire time. I stayed in the Tower room which has one queen and a single bed. A very cute room with a view of the mountains to the west. The bed was so comfortable and I slept like a dream. Linda previously asked what time I would like to have breakfast and when I arrived at the breakfast room the next morning, my breakfast was ready. French toast, eggs, fresh baked muffin and ham. And did I mention the fresh baked cookies upon arrival. The front porch is a good location for a book and a cup of tea. A small general store is across the street where you can order sandwiches to go. The Cross NH bike trail is close by as is hiking near Mt Washington. The only comment I have is the shower stall is small but it is an old Victorian home with lots of New England charm. Thank you Linda.…
Me, my husband and our furbaby all spent a wonderful night at this inn. When we arrived we were happily greeted by the owner. Lucky for us we were staying there on a Thursday night and we had time to really get to know the owner. She took us around to each room showing us that all of them had there own private baths, comfortable beds and lots of room for many guests to stay. That night we slept in the most comfortable bed after having amazing homemade cookies. In the morning we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast that was served to us on the cute wrap around porch. That way our dog could sit outside and eat with us. I thought that was really thoughtful. I would highly recommend staying here. Since we were the only ones there we had the whole house to ourselves and it felt as though I was at my grandma's place for a visit. If your ever In The Jefferson area this place is a must visit and stay. Family owned inns need our support now more than ever. Pay for a place that will use your money to help make your stay even more wonderful the next time.…
I called for a reservation at 2pm for two weeks from now. We decided against staying here at 8pm, hours later. I tried to call, but the line was busy, so I emailed to cancel, and was told that I’d still be charged $79.50 (again, the reservation is for 2 weeks out). That tells me all I need to know about the business practices of this establishment. Do business with the Jefferson Inn at your own peril.
Friendly family Inn. Super clean and the breakfast was amazing. The common living area was very comfortable with table games. The Inn location is perfect for exploring northern NH, also close enough to Mt Washington and the notch. Did I mention how good the breakfast was?
Relaxing night away to unwind. Jefferson is a quiet town with majestic views of the Whites. Hosts were excellent and breakfast was delicious. Great spot to launch from for winter sports, hiking, bike riding, fishing or a trip to Santas Village. Pics are views from bike/snowmobile trail.
The room was cozy, the staff was delightful, and breakfast was incredibly delicious. We stayed here when we climbed Mt. Waumbek, and the Inn is close walking-distance to the Starr King trailhead. It was a frigid winter hike, and the Inn had piping hot chowder waiting for us when we got back :-). Really looking forward to staying here again.
Stayed at the Jefferson Inn during a long weekend getaway with friends. The house was warm and inviting and we had a great nights sleep. We planned on doing some hiking that weekend and were able to walk right from the B&B to the Star King Waumbek trail head. The owners were lovely and had a delicious breakfast for us before our hike. I would recommend this place to any hikers looking to check out the White Mountains!
We had a really enjoyable stay in a very toasty room at the Jefferson over a very cold January weekend. The room was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The family that runs the inn was helpful and communicative, and they were happy to serve us vegan breakfasts. The location is great as well - it's easy to get to Mt Washington and lots of other towns and sites in the White Mountains!
