These are not your traditional roadside cabins. Each cabin has a unique theme and decor. Our year-round rustic cabins are spacious, one of a kind, handcrafted log homes ideal for any type of getaway: family vacations, romantic getaways, or group gatherings. Each cabin has the basics of heat, electricity and indoor plumbing for your comfort. Handcrafted log furnishings can be found throughout. In addition, you will find: kitchen/ kitchenettes, dinnerware, cookware, microwave, standard coffee pot, bed linens and blankets, shower, towels, indoor fireplace (gas or electric), TV, VCR, DVD, radio, and outdoor gas BBQ and fire pit. Each cabin has a least one queen-sized bed. Firewood for outdoor fire pits are for sale on the property. We also have a variety of movies, board games, and outdoor activities for you and the whole family to enjoy, free of charge. All rental cabins are non-smoking inside; smoking of any kind is prohibited. Smoking is allowed outside on the decks/porch.

Property's Favorite Review
Our group of 18 had a wonderful stay (for some of us it was the third time staying at Josselyn's, for others our second). 3 couples per cabin - each had their own bedroom. Lots of room for hanging out all together. Cabins are closer together than they look on the map, so walking from one to another is very easy. Temperature outside was below zero, but the cabins were warm and cozy. Very easy booking and check-in process.

This is our 4th stay at the cabins and we will be back. If you are looking for peace and quiet, Cabin in the Woods is your cabin. Very secluded and very private. We felt like we were in the middle of no where and this is exactly what we came here for. This is the 4th different cabin we have stayed in and honestly all of them are great. Everything you need is here; dishes, pans, measuring cups, tea kettle, grill and fire pit. We love making smore's every night. Each cabin has it's own wooden swing and this cabin has a very serene brook running right in front of it. The beds are comfy and the cabins are clean and authentic. The owner is very nice. Fur babies are welcome (except for the Rocks Cabin) and there are so many trails right in the area to visit. The colors in the fall are just gorgeous and the sunsets are amazing. This is a great getaway if you need to disconnect and recharge. We always enjoy our time here.…

This is my second time at Josselyns Cabins and I have enjoyed both stays at 2 different cabins. I highly recommend this place to anybody that just wants to get away for a mini vacation both times I have stayed here both the cabins I have stayed in were both very clean and comfortable.

We first went here in 2004, we stayed in the rainbow north and loved it. Then in 2007 we stayed in the christmas cabin loved it. Then in 2021 during the pandemic we stayed in wildwood and the experience was still the same AWESOME. Now we are booked for the new cabin Polar Express for August. We will continue to come here it is peaceful and beautiful. The staff is top notch, the cabins are clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Paul from Massachusetts

Me and some of my friends had a bachelor party here in October. We did accidentally burn a blanket when it hit the stove, which we offered to buy a new blanket at Walmart. She refused and charged us $50 for a very used blanket. When I looked up how much that blanket costs, it was $18. A few guys were cleaning and checked out late. We were charged fees accordingly. You leave a bad review anywhere and the owner fraudulently charges extra fees almost six months after the fact because she’s upset. The owner just tried to change me $150 for god know what, she is a complete scam artist. Check her other reviews on here, Google, BBB. It’s a common theme. She just wants to keep all of your security deposit and not give you any of your money back. She will claim it’s a breach of contact but she doesn’t realize, her contact is ridiculous and we are all humans. Accidents happen and when someone tries to fix them and you change them hundred of dollars, you mama are a bad person inside and out. There are So many other nice cabins to stay in, this isn’t one of them…

Do not come here if you are going to disrespect the policies which you sign and agree. We are not perfect, but 99.8% of the bad experiences and reviews our business get derive from individuals upset when charged fees; these people also like to create a brand-new account on social media to voice their displeasure on being charged. Not one of this person's charges were fraudulent! This individual had several breaches of contract and was charged accordingly for those violations; a late fee, property damage (time spent and the replacement cost of blanket), and had the $150 cabin rental deposit hold forfeited and converted to a charge because they did not return the cabin and the surrounding property to us in the condition which it was given to them. Being charged for disrespecting someone’s home does not constitute being a scam artist but enforcing the terms of a contract which they signed and agreed. If you thought the terms laid out of being respectful of someone’s property was ridiculous, you should have stayed somewhere else. Your derogatory comments about the business are your opinion and based in anger because you incurred fees. There is no need to berate a business because you were unable to hold up to your end of the legal contract. We proudly offer a rustic cabin experience in an unbelievably beautiful area of the country. Most of our guests staying here have a 4–5-star experience unless they were charged fees.

BEWARE when you are asked to sign a 10-page contract that threatens you with additional costs when you don't comply with these unprofessional business owners' demands. BEWARE when you enter the cabin and there are signs plastered about warning you that if you don't comply with the threatened demands of the contract, you will be financially penalized. BEWARE when you are told to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. However, they do supply brooms, dust pans and a vaccuum so that you can clean before you leave. Yes, not only do you get to pay to stay in this overpriced dump, you get to do housekeeping for that cost and if you don't do a good job, you will be penalized. BEWARE of the fact you will NEVER see the owners. What kind of place is it where the owners do not make themselves known. That unto itself should make your decision NOT TO STAY HERE. The office is permanently closed and there is no emergency contact. You are under constant video surveillance, so look out. BEWARE, if your cabin fills with kerosene fumes in the middle of the night, just call 911, because if you find that you have to leave because it's unhealthy and unsafe, you will be once again financially penalized and the owners could care less about your wellbeing, only the money they stole from you because they say it's your fault that you checked out, by answering machine of course. Oh, and to the owners, whoever the hell you are, please don't waste your time writing one of your nasty responses to this review. I could care less what you have to say. Your responses only solidify your unprofessionalism and shows anyone thinking about staying here that they shouldn't. Thieves!…

This review with warnings and name calling is just ladled with twists, turns, and untruths. We respond to all our reviews, both good and bad, because people like to manipulate situations and make up stories. We respond to reviews because we want the public to know the truth and the reality on what really transpired without all the lies that angry people distort on social media. If this person thinks being truthful is unprofessional, maybe he needs to determine if he is tuly being honest and transparent with himself! This is just another negative review because a person is angry they are being called out for the terms of a contract that they signed and agreed. Disgruntled people bully a small business with threats, warnings, name-calling, extortion, and legal action because they are just bully’s. We do ask that our cabins be given back to us as they were given to our guests’, but that is a reasonable request and ONLY disrespectful people would find that unreasonable. We DO NOT charge for housekeeping. We put an authorization hold on all guests’ credit cards that might be forfeited due to breaches in contract. This person’s authorization was released and he was not charged, so there was no housekeeping fee. We do provide vacuums in the cabin because guests have requested them. Some of our guests sometimes need to vacuum up their messes. We do have signs in the cabins, but there are no threats in our signs. Our signs are only posted for safety in using some of the items in our cabins. Unsure why this individual needed to see anyone. Like our website and e-mails state, we offer contact free check in. Our guests have been so receptive of this change since the pandemic because it focuses on the safety of our guests and staff. We do suggest some items to bring for an enjoyable stay, but it is untrue that we do not provide you with enough items to start your stay with us. Yes this person did call the office, but sadly never with a legitimate request or need, so there was no need to respond. We do respond immediately to safety issues. When this person alleged that there was an issue with your heater, that was addressed within an hour of us being notified. There was no issue to address and no propane/oil smell (five witnesses can attest to that blatant lie). The heater was just going through a cleaning cycle. This man claimed to be a heating specialist, so surprised that he didn't determine the CL code on the device was an indication that the heater was going through a cleaning cycle- i.e., CL=cleaning. We opted to call a service professional so we could document this persons never-ending lies. He was even refunded for the night. This person was not looking a rustic cabin experience but a 5-star resort with concierge service, which we are not. This man was looking for any excuse to leave early. Sad that he is so manipulative, but we are 95% sure that the pending bad weather that was forecasted for the remainder of his stay was the reason he choose to leave early.

This was our fourth visit to Josselyn’s. Another wonderful time. We stayed in Hiker’s this time and it was so cozy and clean! The cabin is so well laid out, all five of us had more than enough room. We are always so appreciative of the enormous effort they make to maintain the cabins and grounds, making every space beautiful. Thank you so much again for a wonderful stay! We just returned from our third visit at Josselyn's and we are already planning our next visit. We love themed, cozy cabins (have stayed in 3 so far) and the beautiful grounds. This is a nice place to make memories. It is family friendly with the many cabin choices with lofts that fit a good number of people. Each cabin has a complete kitchen with everything you need if you choose to cook. Each cabin also comes with a grill, a firepit and a wooden swing (great for reading a book and enjoying nature). It is also pet friendly. Our dog loves the yard area and walking the grounds. The owner is very knowledgeable about the many things to do in the area and can give you some great recommendations for pet friendly locations. Kids would enjoy the recently upgraded play area. I am planning on taking my grandson for a visit. My recent trip was a nice, relaxing week enjoying the colors of fall.…

We recently visited Jocelyn’s for the 3rd time. This time we brought our young nieces and nephew, as well as our adult daughter, and visited Santas Village. We stayed in the Christmas cabin. Upon arrival, the cabin was neat and clean. The children were in awe of the cabin and the decorations, and our little nephew couldn’t believe there was a little wooden bed just his size! We all had a great time and made some amazing memories the children will carry with them for years to come. We hope to make this an annual end of summer tradition. We were charged a fee after check out, due to neglecting to remove trash and some food items. A couple of the littles got sick as we were packing up (too much junk at Santas Village!) and things got hectic. We understood the extra charges as the rules clearly stated that all trash and food items needed to be removed at checkout or we would be charged. We had previously stayed in Hikers and the Moose Camper and had a great time on both of those visits as well. On our first visit we purchased a hiking stick for our little girl, which the owners wood burned/engraved with her name and unicorn. She still has it! We hope we will be welcomed back even though we didn’t clean as thoroughly as we should have on our last visit. We highly recommend Josselyns!…

We appreciate you reminding us of the precious memory you and your daughter gave to us. The sheer joy on your daughter's face when she held her unicorn engraved walking stick...priceless! Can still see your daughter’s face and her beautiful smile which is forever etched in my mind. What was more amazing is that we had someone on staff who was able to draw a unicorn; although she did pretty nice seal and skull drawings as well. We are grateful for the time you took to share the three years of positive experiences you have had with us, especially after this stay when you were charged a fee. Nobody likes to be charged extra fees, but you were accountable, respectful, gracious, and understanding of our rules and for that we truly appreciate you and your family.
