Very comfortable bed and delicious breakfast with strawberries from the owners' garden, homemade muffin and Vermont cheese omelet. I loved the touch of edible flowers decorating my plate, which were actually yummy. Lovely visit with the hostess, who is a professional chef. I would stay again.
This darling spot seems very cared for by the couple that owns it. They provide lovely accommodations, with fluffy duvets and comfy beds in an elegant, old-fashioned atmosphere. And you get a scrumptious homemade breakfast, too.
If you’re looking for a B&B in this area, look no further! My husband and I stayed in the John Adams Suite for two nights and I’m so glad we chose this Inn! It is a quaint 150+ year old home that is immaculately clean and comfortable. Jim and Ruth have gone above and beyond to provide up to date amenities, while staying with the charm of an old home. Being on the top floor added an extra measure of privacy and the view from our balcony was beautiful. We were even fortunate enough to see a Ring Necked Pheasant right next to the Inn, which was an added plus! Ruth is an excellent chef and breakfast is delicious, bountiful and beautifully presented on antique dinnerware that perfectly accents the old home feel. In the afternoon, she offers made from scratch, fresh baked goods and seasonal cold drinks. And, there is always coffee or bottled water. I highly recommend the Benjamin Prescott Inn and thank the hosts for a delightful B&B experience.…
Stayed at the Benjamin Prescott Inn so that I could golf with friends down the street at the dubious Shattuck Golf Course (in the top 50 hardest courses in the country) and also to enjoy the fall foliage....couldn't have asked for a better host in Jim...the Inn had everything one would need for a pleasant stay and was comfortable and charming. The grounds were beautiful with a farm on the adjacent property...I stayed in the Rachel room (twin beds with bathroom and an adjoining room if needed)- it was well appointed and comfortable...breakfast in the morning was delicious and the coffee was plentiful...will definitely come back
Thanks to Trip Advisor, we found this absolutely perfect inn for a one night stay while we were on the road without a plan! We stayed in the Col. Prescott Room which is large with a very comfortable bed. The room is furnished with lovely antiques and the split en suite bathrooms——a toilet and sink in one room and a shower in the next——worked just fine. The bathroom was updated, bright and well appointed. Although the room is on the road, it is quiet through the night. Breakfast was excellent......I was disappointed not to have the much touted waffle until I tasted the French toast! I don’t think you can lose no matter what! We had a nice visit with Ruth and loved her very specific recommendations for restaurants! Thanks for the stay.....we loved it
