Dinner with hubby. Nice menu selections and excellent food, attentive wait staff (Kasi). A thoroughly relaxing & enjoyable meal experience. The server recommended brownie dessert was exceptional as was the specialty drink from the bar
This is the second time we have stayed at Eagle Mountain and, like the last time, it did not disappoint. My husband and I love the fact we can sit on the deck and relax right outside our room. We will definitely be back.
Stayed here for the first time this last weekend. Really enjoyed it. Staff was very helpful everywhere, front desk, bar, restaurant, etc. This is an old hotel, so don't expect everything to be new. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. We went skiing and came back to a great dinner. Would definitely come back again and the price was very reasonable!
I really wanted to love my stay at Eagle Mountain but I will not be back. The location, view, and bar staff were fantastic and I cannot say enough good things about that! However, I found the front desk staff to be unwelcoming. And the thing that really took things downhill - and fast - was the lack of any insulation between rooms. I was up all night one night because a man was snoring in an adjacent room. Another night, a group was having a party in their room. And early one morning, people walking down the hall sounded so loud I thought they were in the bed next to me. If you can't get adequate rest and relaxation at a hotel, is it really worth returning? I don't think so.
Couple fall getaway which we have been looking forward to since May 2021... my brother and his wife came from Florida and we drove up from New York.... beautiful area...and hotel.... was surprised that the hotel was so run down and needs so much renovation. Especially the bathroom was in much needed work. The elevator was not working which was a little difficult even though we were only on the second floor...they offered to call for assistance with the luggage but as we were two couples it would have been difficult.... Do want to comment that the restaurant was phenomenal...even though it was always mostly closed and this was NOT communicated at ALL when I spoke about the breakdfast when I called several times prior to arriving.
When we arrived at this beautiful site, the golf grounds were beautiful, however, once we entered, we found the elevator did not work, the halls upstairs appeared uncleaned, the rooms are badly in need of updating! The two good parts were the bar, and its kitchen. The food was very tasty. One last item, their internet was horrible. Incredibly slow and I was unable to log in with my laptop. Needless to say, the bathrooms were old and were not handicapped friendly.
My husband and I normally stay at the White Mountain when we go the MW Valley, and when we saw that EMH was recently renovated, we decided to try staying somewhere new. We were not disappointed in the least. In fact, we extended our stay one more night! Yes, there are still ramifications from Covid (no housekeeping during your stay, and they are light on bar/dining staff), but you'd never notice. The hotel is immaculate, and towels are always available at the front desk. Meaghan, the F & B manager, and Lauren (bartender, host, waitress, etc!) were spectacular during our stay. Aside from the fact that the bar and restaurant are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, you'd never know they were short handed in the food and beverage department. Everyone works so hard, and so well together that it appears flawless! The part of our stay that we loved the most was the veranda. Coffee in the morning, and a book and a glass of wine in the afternoon could not be beat. The vistas from the veranda are breathtaking. We cannot wait to return!!!…
The hotel is beautiful and the food is delicious! There is no stayover service currently, which is fine by me because I always put up a dnd sign when I stay at a hotel anyway. I had the breakfast bowl and the scallops . Both meals were amazing! I also enjoyed the veranda. Perfect spot to do some remote work and relax at the same time. Can't wait to come back!
We chose Eagle Mountain because their website made clear their serving hours for Tuesday and Wednesday, days when most other places were closed. The fresh table settings on the porch were fronted by a "Now Serving" chalkboard sign perched on the front steps -- quite welcoming. Imagine our disappointment when the check-in person dourly informed us the restaurant and the pub were always closed on those days. I thought of all the other innkeepers who were honest enough to forewarn people. I worry that when travelers reward this dishonesty as I did, then other innkeepers will be tempted, causing dishonesty to spread like a cancer across the White Mountains. When I complained that their website published Tues-Wed food and drink, the man said there was a "closure posting" in my confirmation email. I checked my email later: He had lied right to my face. Meanwhile, I took his handout list of distant restaurants which might serve on those days and headed to the porch with my laptop to scrounge for food, and guess what?: No WiFi on their porch! Perhaps the most iconic veranda in the entire White Mountains, and no WiFi?? In fact, no WiFi in any of the lobby or the whole first floor other than a rather small library room. And though it was only able to average about 1.5 Mbps, I was reduced to being a groveling peasant, given that the WiFi in our room was only about half that. The woman behind the desk apologized profusely for the slow WiFi, saying it was caused by bad weather. Bad weather? Really?? We found no "Do Not Disturb" item to hang on our doorknob, and when I requested one at the desk, we were told they weren't needed, as there was no daily housekeeping in the rooms, due to Covid. Room-cleaning was only after checkout, or so they said, but a housekeeper barged in on my partner showering with her bathroom door open before 11:00 AM checkout. I checked all the Covid-update info on the website and found absolutely no mention of canceled housekeeping. This is in New Hampshire which doesn't even have an indoor mask mandate. Honesty is such a lonely word at Eagle Mountain.…
Stayed this past weekend to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Place needs some TLC on the outside, however on the inside is old world charm and elegance. Front desk staff very helpful but we had two breakfast and two dinners at the EMH and we were served by Lauren and Christopher who were both friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious at every meal. Due to Covid, EMH was light on staffing but you would never know it because of the charm and friendliness of these two hard working employees. Golf Pro also made for a great day on the course across the street. We will return.
