    Outstanding Inn.
Totally loved our time here! Beautiful Inn - inside and out. Strikes a perfect balance of luxuriousness without ever feeling stuffy or overly formal. Rooms were very comfortable and relaxing. The meals we ate here were excellent - every dish! Every staff member we interacted with was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Thank you for your recent stay with us. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you can return soon.

    A lovely winter visit
We had a very nice three-night stay at the Inn. Unfortunately our fireplace was on the fritz for two of the nights. One of the innkeepers offered us some chocolate-covered strawberries. When we checked out, we benefitted from receiving a refund of half of one-night's stay. I would recommend that the innkeepers pay better attention to clearing the snow around all walkways. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves!
Thank you for your recent stay with us. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that the fireplace was not working properly during your stay. We have had the problem fixed and had the technician confirm that all other fireplaces are in good working order. I appreciate your comment on snow removal and we will pay closer attention to that. We hope you return soon!

    Beautiful Inn!
Stayed for 3 nights in the Notch Cabin that was separated from the main Inn. Super cozy and private. Hubby and me were there to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Sherri was Amazing an so full of energy. The staff during breakfast was so attentive and helpful and the bartender James was extremely talented. There is a trail off the parking lot that we snow shoed that was well groomed and easy to follow and we loved the double Jacuzzi tub and the space in the cabin. Also loved there was a porch as we had a lot of footwear that was full of sand and salt. slight nit pick... We had dinner there on our anniversary my meal was good but not great. I got the chicken half. The leg was super delicious and the rest super dry. The potatoes were the same as they served at breakfast and nothing really special. My husbands meal on the other hand was phenomenal. Duck n Donuts with a sweet potato hash. I wish I ordered that instead. I didn't dare complain as our server was overwhelmed and super busy. I already returned my cocktail asking for no lime and no lime juice in a cosmopolitian. Communication between the server and the bartender was misunderstood and somehow I was asked to put down the fork so as not to cause injury. I realize it was a joke but would've been better received had my meal been better. . Our first night was on a Tuesday, i read they had a fire in the pit everynight but they didn't that night. I also was a little disappointed that little things weren't offered such as a mid-day snack or "free" salts for the jacuzzi tub. I didn't think much of it feeling because of the pandemic the Inn needed to do things differently until we went to another Inn, Sugar Hill, that same week and those details were included. I am nit picking and want to be sure it's understood that I would recommend this place and for me would rate a 4.75. I do feel for the price, individually wrapping cookies or offering free tub salts and no additional charge for rooms with soaker tubs should be considered.
Thank you for your recent stay with us and I appreciate your suggestions. I hope you can return soon.

We had such an enjoyable weekend at the Inn. The accommodations were as advertised but also met my high level of cleanliness expectations. Every staff member the we encountered was gracious. They were genuinely happy that we were visiting with them and all took the time to converse with us. There was also great care in attention to detail from the afternoon cookies, night time tea and gorgeous aromatherapy room in the spa. We also enjoyed a remarkable dinner and delicious breakfast at the Inn. It was one of those places where you didn’t want to leave one taste on your plate, no matter how full you were. The chef was incredible and the wait staff were amazingly kind and accommodating. This was a great find for us and we will definitely recommend and hope to return!

We returned after 15 yrs. Just as I remembered but better. Beautiful room. Very clean and comfortable. The view from our room was gorgeous. Everyone that works here is so nice and welcoming. Food is the best around especially the breakfast. Lobster Benedict is unbelievable. The schnitzel is a must for dinner. James the mixologist whips up some of the best drinks I’ve ever had. He’s very creative with what he serves and is very knowledgeable about the different types of liquor.. You have to try the Tiki drink. Great experience in the spa. We got massages that were amazing.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was at The Inn at Thorn Hill. The location was perfect for daily walks through the quaint town of Jackson and for an afternoon cooling off at Jackson Falls. We had the best interactions with every single staff member we encountered. Our absolute favorite moments were spent relaxing and enjoying delicious meals on the beautiful porch overlooking the Presidential Range. James at the bar served up some unusual and delicious cocktails. Tea and cookies waiting for us in our room at the end of the evening was a nice touch! Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable. We cannot wait to go back!

The Inn at Thorn Hill continues to provide top notch accommodations as well as service and dining options. The food was delicious! Even better than I remembered from last visit. Fresh ingredients (swordfish, crabmeat, lobster) ,huge portions (tender huge porkchop, and schnitzel that neither of us finished our meal either night). We have been coming here for about 10 years and we never leave disappointed. Most of the staff has been here for as long as we have been coming and that is exactly why the quality and consistency remains as 5 star. These people are truly professionals and they have a deep sense of pride in the inn and their R&R here. In a time where it is so challenging to hire and maintain help, it seems that Thorn Hill has figured it out. Yes, it's on the pricy side, but you absolutely get what you pay for. From check in to check out the experience is memorable, with attention to every detail. There are so many nice personal touches offered here that are unique....from tea service delivered to your room, to special recognition for events like anniversaries and birthdays. Thanks to Nancy, Sheri, Niklas, Meghan and so many others for making this anniversary trip memorable!

The Inn is very proud of their awards and recognition and should be with all that is hanging in the lobby/halls. We liked our room with the tub and it was a comfortable bed. Friendly service in all areas there. None of the views are special with the location being by a road. Double check with the spa on appointments as our massages were lost in scheduling so that did not happen. They did apologize and we actually enjoyed the relaxation area in the basement with the massage chairs instead & enjoyed it. Recommend that room. The breakfast was nice on the back porch and they had heaters as it was a cold morning. It is an order from menu breakfast and some items were listed with an additional charge which was interesting- had not seen that from a B&B or Inn. Overall- we recommend you stopping in this Inn when near Jackson.

Is is a gem of an accommodation. The rooms are well appointed. The extra touches are perfect. The food is super. The staff was so accommodating! There are lots of places to relax and read. Breakfast was amazing! Lobster eggs Benedict! Server Nickolas did a great job! Cozy bar! Hate we missed the piano player on Thursday night and the outdoor fire due to the weather! We will return!

What a great stay at a beautiful inn. The Inn at Thorn Hill offers many amenities but what made our stay so special was the wonderful staff. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. From Nancy who checked us in to Sarah and the housekeeping staff, to our waiters and staff in the dining room, David, Amaura, Sherri and Linda, we couldn’t have felt more welcome. They truly go above and beyond with their attention to detail. The room was spotless and we used the huge jacuzzi every day. We loved the evening tea and cookies brought to our room by Nancy. The breakfasts were delicious. It was so nice to start our day with a great conversation with Linda and Sherri. The Inn at Thorn Hill is a very special place and we plan to return in December. Can’t wait!

We love this Inn and have stayed here many times in the past through several different owners. The Inn changed hands during covid, so this is the first time we've stayed under the new owners. I have to say, the rooms are a little bit tired for the amount that the new owners are charging. We stayed in the Mount Washington Suite to the tune of close to $600 a night which is the most that we've ever paid, and it's still off season. Also, the rooms can get warm and stuffy and the air conditioning was not on for the season yet. I have to say that the highlight of our stay was the various servers. Dave was our breakfast server and was one of the nicest people we have met up here........very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Nicole was our dinner server and was absolutely awesome. She was efficient, pleasant and didn't hurry us in any way. James is the bartender and is absolutely awesome. Not only does he make a very creative drink, but generously shares his recipes. He was extremely personable and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. Kudos to the front of the house staff!! The rooms are immaculate, so kudos also to those who are often unseen......the housekeeping staff.
