This is our 2nd visit to the Inn at Ellis River. We were here in February 2022 and came back in June 2022. Our stay was awesome. Mary, John and staff are wonderful. Christine is friendly and courteous. John's breakfasts are excellent (pancakes, waffles and frittatas just to name a few) are wonderful!!!!! Our room was spotless, and the pool was refreshing. There is a bar and game room that is a nice place to have a night cap and chat with John and/or Mary. Lastly, the location is close to everything we enjoy doing while we are there (hiking, cross-country skiing). One tip... Make restaurant reservations ahead of time. Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing.
We couldn't have chose a better place to spend our honeymoon. Not only ate the grounds beautiful but the staff just makes you feel at home. Plus the breakfast we had each morning was delicious. Including the homemade breads! If you get a chance to have the banana maple bacon bread do not pass it up!
Beautiful location by the Ellis river. Superb owners in Mary & John supported by a wonderful team. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room, the basin, had a balcony over looking the river. Great breakfast setting you up for a day in the White Mountains. Plus a pub for a relaxing drink in the evening. Not forgetting delicious home made cakes & cookies in the afternoon. A real gem to stay at.
This wonderful inn is run by the most considerate and friendly owners, John and Mary, and innkeeper Kristine. The lovely Ellis River runs just at the foot of the back lawn. We have stayed in the suite “Paradise Falls” three times in the past three years. We love sitting on the balcony watching the river as we unwind. We see people enjoying the fire pit in the evenings, also close to the river. Breakfasts are prepared by John, who believes in delicious and generous starts to the day. The breakfast room is beautiful and has many fun little touches from maybe the 1940’s and 50’s. Lots of windows, too. Oh, and there is a fireplace in the lobby, an outdoor pool on one side of the inn and a gazebo on the other side. The inn is set back from the road so it is very quiet and restful. The little town center of Jackson is about 5 minutes away max, and the fun town of North Conway is about 15 minutes or so down the road. The inn is near some gorgeous waterfalls and hiking trails and of course the stunning mountain views. We highly recommend the Inn at Ellis River!…
Like to give 10 plus!!so relaxing..Mary and John ND Christine the absolute best..room soo cozy..food delicious..we will be back!!ty to all..we will be spreading the word for sure Wishing you a wonderful summer season
We just finished our 3rd stay at the Inn and it never disappoints. John and Mary are great hosts and Christine is the "engine" that keeps the whole place running. The breakfast is outstanding especially when you get to look forward to John's thick slice maple bacon. What a great smell to wake up to in the morning. The 1st day I asked Mary if they had any iced coffee which she gladly made for me from a fresh brewed pot of hot coffee. The next morning to my surprise I found that my iced coffee had coffee ice cubes in the glass. She told me she didn't want the coffee to get too watered down by the regular ice so she made me some coffee ice cubes. Now that's the kind of service you can expect to get from the Inn @ Ellis River. If you are planning a get-a-way in the Jackson/North Conway area, look no further cause this is the place. Thanks for the great weekend. See ya soon!…
Had an excellent time staying at Inn at Ellis River. Mary and John were warm, friendly and receptive to every whim. The room was very clean, quiet and charming. The in-house bar was so convenient. Can't wait for another excuse to go back.
My wife and I have stayed in many inns in New Hampshire. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Some are on busy roads, some offer dry cereal for breakfast, some feel more corporate than friendly. The Inn at Ellis River has many of the features that we love: friendly owners who are always around, funny and ready to help. The breakfasts were to die for - your choice of a savory egg dish or either waffles or pancakes - it changes daily and is served at your table. If the weather is bad you can settle into the bar/game room and play pool or darts while enjoying a cocktail. If the weather is good you can drive about one minute to the Jackson XC center for some great XC skiing. They are fairly central for other activities - many nice restaurants and North Conway for shopping. We had a great time!…
My husband and I came up to get away for Valentine's weekend. We had such a great experience! Christine, Mary and John, and all the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived through the time we checked out. Great attitudes, helpful, and always available. The Inn is charming and the room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate the special weekend.... and the FOOD!!!! The food was incredible! We definitely recommend the Inn at Ellis River and we will be back! Thank you all for a fantastic and needed weekend!
The Inn is beautiful and quaint and the staff couldn't be more friendly and caring. Rooms were clean and location is perfect! Minutes away from Jackson center and multiple ski resorts. Highly recommend!
