The Inn at Ellis River is a charming inn hosted by a lovely couple. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty. Many amenities including a bar and sitting room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would have loved to have stayed longer than two nights.

We booked this b&b earlier this year and we are so glad we did. The innkeeper's, Mary and John are so warm and welcoming. The inn is charming and comfortable. Our bedroom was clean, quite and so relaxing. The best part was the amazing breakfast each morning. The people who work there are so nice too. They made it extra special by including a candle for breakfast on my husband's birthday. The location is awesome for walking around the quaint town and for those who enjoy a good hill workout, there are some great roads to get the heart pumping. We had our motorcycles and took a beautiful ride immediately upon leaving the Inn up route 16. That will take you through the white mountain park and into Gorham. We will be going back for sure.

We ventured back after having been here 34 years ago to this beautiful area of New Hampshire. It was called The Ellis River House then. The Inn has been wonderfully updated while still maintaining the down home charm we remembered. John, Mary and Christine are warm friendly welcoming hosts; you feel like you're staying with family (John's breakfasts and Christine's afternoon cookies are the best). It has a perfect location to do all the hiking, mountain stream swimming and lovely restaurants you could want. Highly recommend some time away from it all by escaping here! BTW it was our 33rd wedding anniversary ❣️

Dear Leeannk251 - welcome back after 34 years! The Inn was brand new then. Thank you for your return visit! It was wonderful to meet both of you and appreciate you coming back after all these years. It was fun exchanging information about what it was like back then and the changes made over the years. We are happy you felt welcomed and that this was like staying with family - we always love to hear that! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your stay and on the location - we're centrally located to so many hiking, biking and ski trails, shopping, dining, etc. Happy 33rd Anniversary! We hope to see you again soon - thank you again!

Our last time there, the Mrs. was expecting our son. Now that he's old enough to stay at a B&B, we returned! Everything was just as we were expecting. Clean, comfortable rooms, quiet atmosphere, warm hospitality and great breakfasts! It's an ideal location being away from crowds but everything is a short drive. A few restaurants are a short walk. There's nothing like sitting by the river with a morning coffee or in the afternoon relaxing. We even ventured in to sit on the rocks as it's pretty shallow. Evenings can be spent in the game room with pool, checkers, darts and other games. The Inn At Ellis River is a wonderful inn that checks all the boxes!

We wanted to try a B & B in this area and decided to give the Inn at Ellis River a try. I was nervous to try somewhere new, but wanted something smaller instead of a big chain, especially in light of COVID. I was pleasantly surprised at this beautiful Inn and the friendliness of the owners, Mary and John, and their employees. From the moment of our arrival, we were immediately made to feel comfortable. We were given a tour of the Inn, and told to enjoy all of its amenities. We sure did - from the pool, to the sauna, and the game room - who knew I played a killer pool game? The grounds of the Inn are majestic. There are chairs to relax by the soothing river. The sound of water lulled us to sleep. We had A/C in our room as well, but loved listening to the water at night. We chose a room with a balcony and jetted tub. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible - you won't be hungry. We had fruit, granola, scones and muffins each day. Then there were other choices - from quiche, frittata, waffles, pancakes, etc. We were never disappointed. I have some dietary issues and Mary and John were happy to accomodate. Coffee and Tea is available all day long. There was a power outage for about 20 hours while we were at the Inn. Mary and John made sure we were okay and had what we needed through the outage. We were very happy to see Mary and John take COVID -19 seriously and require masks in all public spaces of the INN and frequently clean public spaces. They have also implemented a wide variety of procedures to keep guests safe, such as signing up for a breakfast time. While in Jackson, we a mix of active/relaxing days during our 6 night stay. We enjoyed hikes, drives, nice restaurants, time on the Saco River, reading by the river, getting take out and eating on the balcony, playing cribbage, pool, and having a LOT of laughs. If you're looking for a relaxed, charming, clean place to stay, the Inn at Ellis River is for you!
