If I could give less I would. Owner is very rude, place is filthy. Youd be better off sleeping in a pig pen. Less bugs too. Do yourself a favor and dont support this business. She has already been accused of a hate crime.

My partner and I went on a weekend getaway to the white mountains with our service animal. I booked this place online since we were on a budget. Pictures looked decent and it seemed unique. Boy was I right. Upon arrival I was greeted by a not so friendly front desk clerk that almost seemed annoyed I was bothering her on a sat afternoon. She charged me an extra $20 pet fee which wasn’t stated anywhere online. I first asked if I could see the room and was told they didn’t do that. I now understand why. The room smelled of mold, as did the entire “lodge”. The screen door was busted, the “river view” was a joke and the entire place had a thin layer of filth and years of uncleanliness stuck to it. My partner and I decided, for the price we were paying this room was not up to standards. It was so bad I cringe to think of having to sleep there. When the woman came back to the office from her house on site, she was immediately aggressive and hostile when I asked for a refund. Her hands were shaking and her voice raised. She told me she was going to record me. She then proceeded to record myself and my partner while she yelled her return policy in our faces. I even asked why she was being so hostile. She insulted our dog which was still in our vehicle and our appearance stating we looked unclean when I explained we weren’t happy with the room. When I realized the situation was going nowhere I grabbed my receipt off the counter that had all my credit card information on it and the woman attacked me. All while recording she violently reached across the counter and grabbed ahold of my jacket. She knocked her tray of candy and all her business cards on the counter in the process of assaulting me. My partner and I were in such shock at this reaction neither of us moved. I then started to tear up my receipt in fear she would continue to attack me and have my information. In hindsight I’m sure it’s all in her system anyway but in the moment that’s what I thought to do. She let go of me and we calmly walked out the door the whole while she’s recording us and screaming to give her her paper back. She was going to call the cops. When we got in our vehicle and tried to back up she threw herself onto our truck and claimed we ran her foot over. She threw herself back onto our side mirror and bent it backward. She then got on the phone with the police and claimed we attacked her and ran her over. I also called the police. Everyone wrote statements and sadly we were banned for life from this wonderful establishment. The state of New Hampshire has an open investigation against this lodge. They have been in the court system before. Countless reviews show that these people have been doing this for a long time and they should be shut down for good. They steal people’s money. They verbally and physically assault people. Please, stay away from this place. If you have a horrible experience like we did, do something. Tell everybody you know.

The place is a dump. ($570.94 for 4 nights) Room filthy, beds ancient with old spring "motel" type mattresses. No room to put luggage. Dust, cobwebs, stains on carpet and sheets. OMG. There is obviously a reason they charge payment in full at time of booking with no refunds. You wont see it on their website but the confirmation states: "We are not responsible for the comfort or cleanliness of the rooms"!!! Go figure. By the time you see it its too late. Luckily we had the ability to walk out, not everyone would. Do not book this place. We moved morning of day 2 to Royalty Inn in Gorham NH. Less expensive, much bigger and nicer rooms w/pool, laundry, refrigerator, microwave, etc. Oh; the beds were truly comfortable.!!! Offered to accept refund, from Covered Bridge, for 10/6 & 10/7 trying to be nice about it..... NOT Am now fighting to get refund. I marked no for pool below because it is under re-construction. Don't know if AC works but it was there, I wouldn't have turned it on it was so filthy. Staff is Mother & Daughter who run motel and also are the cleaning staff.

I booked this place online and here's the pictures as reference. The place is a dump. I didn't even spend the night it was so dirty and in such disrepair. I arrived late and the lady at the desk who was hesitant to say she was the owner said it was too late to process a refund so I told her I'd be back in the morning. They have a whole skit worked out where the daughter comes out asks if you're staying there and then kicks you off the property. she screams like you're going to harm her and says she's calling the police if you don't leave right away even though I told her I was just here for a refund and had told the lady at the front desk I was coming. I booked my weekend during a 100 degree heat wave because of the pool. I got a song and dance about how the pool was damaged during the bad winter and would cost $15,000 to repair it. Why is it still on the website then? This family-run in is nothing more than a scam and they feed on the fact that you can't see the place until you arrive and then it's "too late to cancel" check out my pic of the pool and the pic that's still on their website !

Only bagels for breakfast, but it's better than nothing. The pool is badly broken. I would not have booked if I k we this. There is a small hot tub. The grounds are nice with a sitting area by a fire pit. The river is fun to wade through. The beds were uncomfortable, but clean. The room was clean and the AC was nice.
