This was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I was not disappointed. The rooms are clearly described in detail, by room number on their site. We selected room #9 because it met our needs. When we arrived. Jeff provided a brief history of the inn and gave us a tour of the lower level before showing us... More

Had previously stayed at the Colby Hill with the previous owners and found it to be a comfortable and friendly place. I have been back two times now with the new owners who have really taken this place to the next level! The restaurant is incredible. The food is an absolute delight featuring fresh, local ingredients. They are starting monthly... More

This was our fourth stay at Colby Hill Inn, and our first time with the new owners Jeff and Bruce. Even though we live an hour away, we sometimes have only a night or two to get away for an R&R. And for us, this is the place. Warm, cozy, friendly! Jeff and Bruce have done a wonderful job maintaining... More

Our third visit to Colby Hill - very authentic inn, walking distance to a charming village, new chef @ on-site restaurant is quite good. Very comfortable place in a lovely, little village. Cozy common room for reading, watching TV, coffee always available. Nice garden area - with goats! The Contoocook river runs through town - beautiful, covered bridge nearby on... More

Last year my husband, daughter and her fiancé had dinner at the Colby Hill Inn. The dinner was fabulous!! They loved it so much that they decided to have their rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at the Inn the following year. This past weekend was their wedding, October 8th 2016. Since the theme of their wedding was Rustic, this was... More

My husband and I spend a glorious long weekend at Colby Hill Inn a week ago and had a wonderful experience. The owners were very gracious hosts and immediately made us feel at home. The inn, barn and grounds, oh, and the goats, made this feel very comfortable. The restaurant is top notch and each morning we enjoy awesome breakfasts... More

Although we'd made reservations for the Friday night Wine Tasting special, we were seated at a little table against a side wall. All the tables with a view of the back garden were kept empty--for Inn guests who would arrive later, we presume. But it's irritating to be put off to the side in an otherwise empty room, whatever the... More

Hi, Priscilla - Generally, wine tastings happen in the parlor with the fireplace or on the patio in good weather. I do not honestly remember why you sat in the main dining room, it could have been due to the weather or that we had a function on the patio and sometimes inn guests do assemble in the parlor. Now... My wife and I visited this wonderful inn this past week and had an amazing time. We visited some local spots for a taste of New Hampshire history, lovely little antique and specialty shops. We dined at the inn and enjoyed the culinary talents of one of the owneres and his fine staff. We had wonderfully delicious breakfasts and dinners.... More

We stayed here for two nights this month. The inn is very old but the room that we had was spacious and had a remodeled bath and new king mattress. Upon our arrival we were given a tour of the main floor and shown to our second floor room by the innkeeper. We ate dinner that evening in the restaurant.... More

Our room was cramped and the grounds were not well kept. Staff was distant and not very friendly. The bathroom was tiny. The closet was bigger. We did like the breakfast muffins. And the egg dish was innovative.

Hello, Elaine - Thank you for staying with us. We understand you chose the smallest room, it might have been that it was the lowest cost room at the time of booking, and then you must have had regrets. I showed you the room and you seemed to like it at that time. I know you were disappointed that we... More
