We are preparing to head south tomorrow after a wonderful 6 days in this wonderful B and B. Bill and Sheila are the ultimate hosts, the most delicious breakfast and so so clean with the best views imaginable. We will miss our time here and chatting with the hosts and this truly beautiful part of the world. Yes, it WAY exceeded expectations and there was nothing they did not think of to help us feel at home. AND Sheila cooked for our dog! Thank you for a fabulous stay!
We were in the Amethyst room which looks just like the pictures. It's nice to have a sliding door (out to the deck) and window in the bathroom; this allows for fresh air and cross breezes! The view of Newfound Lake in the distance is a wonderful way to start each day. We had friends on the Lake, about a 10 minute drive away, and this location was perfect. Bill and Sheila are extremely attentive and eager to please; the custom-ordered breakfast each morning got the day off to a terrific start. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable: all things you'd want. We would definitely stay again.
The Coppertoppe far exceeded my expectations from the moment I arrived. Everything I was hoping for was exactly what I received and more. Sheila and Bill are absolutely wonderful human beings and I miss them already :) The home away from home that I never knew I had is so very true, so welcoming. Sheila and Bill were helpful with information when asked and can whip up some wonderful breakfasts. I felt comfortable, like family and am so happy to have had the time I had there. Thank you Sheila and Bill for making my stay absolutely wonderful!!! Until next time.......
Bill, Sheila & Dave were excellent hosts, starting at the point of making our reservation. We enjoyed visiting with them and sharing stories. The custom-made breakfasts were amazing! What a great way to start our days! The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean with a great view of the lake. We definitely enjoyed our time there and would consider staying again to explore more of the beautiful Newfound Lake area.
My wife and I are visiting the area and were told of this Bed and Breakfast. We checked it out and were given a tour of this facility by Bill the owner. It is a small place with only 4 units just the type of place the doctor recommended for peace and quiet. When we return we will definitely stay here.
The Lord made the universe in 6 days, and rested on the 7th, after he planned for creating Bill and Sheila. We cannot thank them enough for not just a wonderful B & B experience, but for the love and caring they provided to us. Our niece/goddaughter was getting married, and they also hosted the bride and all of the ladies for a pre-wedding, get beautiful, full day event. They made everything special. We have not only made two new friends in Sheila and Bill, but new members of our family. They are two of nicest, smartest, most genuine people you will find. June and Mike.
Sheila and Bill welcome you and your dog into their Inn (home) with open arms - from a safe distance of course. This was our first stay outside our home in Covid times and we were a bit nervous. But, there was no need as the hosts and guests were respectful, keeping distance and leaving screened windows open to circulate fresh air throughout the beautiful inn. I quickly felt safe and well-cared-for - a feeling that's been missing since mid-March. As nice as the inn is, and the bountiful breakfast prepared to order was, the view of Newfound Lake from the upstairs balcony is stunning. No better spot to sit with a beer and watch the sun set. The lake is a revelation, probably the cleanest, clearest lake in NH. Come for the lake, be treated like royalty. I look forward to returning to Coppertoppe!…
My husband and I just returned from spending three comfy nights at Coppertoppe. A man of very few words, my husband still found it necessary to tell me that of all the B&Bs and inns we've stayed at over the past decade or so (many), this one was the best. "They cater to our every whim!", he exclaimed. I discovered the place looking up "pet friendly lodging in New Hampshire", and noted a review that stated the woman's dogs were treated better there than they ever had been anywhere else. That's probably a bit of an understatement. Sheila actually prepared homecooked poached chicken for our dog which he wolfed down for breakfast daily (when she had time, Sheila hand-fed him, as we enjoyed our own repasts). This is taking "pet friendly" to a new level. They love dogs and rest assured, yours will be treated as (as Sheila says) "dogs can do no wrong". Speaking of rest assured, you will be staying in a large room or suite, spotlessly clean, with a lovely view overlooking Newfound Lake nestled in the White Mountains. Back at the inn, Bill and Sheila will be preparing all sorts of breakfast goodies (basically to order) and you will also be provided with plentiful snacks and beverages of your choosing for the duration of your stay. At some point you get the feeling that you're staying at the home of friends who just happen to have a plethora of huge, comfortably appointed guest rooms available at their place. You really can't get better than that.…
A perfect place for a quiet getaway. The rooms have decks overlooking Newfound Lake. Rooms are clean and spacious. Sheila and Bill are friendly and attentive. They make a bountiful breakfast accommodated to your tastes.
We love this B&B. We've gone back year after year for our anniversary. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, good food, and privacy. Newfoundlake is one of the cleanest lakes in the world. The lake alone is worth the trip. The area is very quaint and welcoming.
