The front desk clerk greeted us warmly and we shared a few laughs. She had an endearing, fun personality. She upgraded our room! When we walked into it, we were completely overwhelmed. It was enormous and so, so accommodating. And the view left us in awe: the lovely Dartmouth campus with a backdrop of the mountains. The sun was setting; the sky was lit with orange. It couldn't have been a better welcome. The bathrooms (there were two!) were both spacious, and the bed was perfect. There was plenty of room for storing our belongings. In fact, the room so enchanted us that the next night we decided to order food and eat there with our Dartmouth friends. Could not have been better.
Great room with beautiful views of the common. Fantastic service from the front desk (near-instant turnaround anytime we asked for anything). Beautiful lobby, great amenities. Rooms were quiet despite being on the street side -- no noise at all from other rooms around us. WSJ at the elevators every morning and fresh-baked cookies in the afternoon were nice touches. Not a low-cost hotel, however!
The Hanover Inn is located on the Village Green in this quintessential New England town. It has all the modern conveniences and is beautifully appointed throughout. It houses the Pine restaurant which is open for breakfast as well as evening dining. It is centrally located and within easy walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants as well as portions of the Dartmouth College campus. It is also a stop for the free shuttle to the highly respected Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical facility. The staff manning the front desk and the restaurant were all very friendly and helpful. My wife and I spent two nights there and both of us were very pleased with all aspects of our visit.
We stayed here for a few nights. It offers a place for Dartmouth alumni. The valet parking makes car parking so easy. They offer coffee every morning. The gym is located at the basement. I wish the business center has a bit more space. The hotel’s location is right in front of the Dartmouth College.
The Hanover Inn is in the ideal location for visiting Dartmouth College: it is steps away from both the campus and downtown Hanover with a front view of The Green. The hotel is spotless and has excellent service, although its restaurant The Pine is rather expensive. The dark green and white decor throughout the building give visitors the complete Dartmouth experience
Kris Braune, one of the managers, was a delight to work with and made sure our anniversary visit to the Hanover Inn was relaxing and fun even before we arrived. Patient when explaining the differences between the rooms and VERY patient when explaining all the precautions taken during this time of COVID, Kris did everything a guest could hope for to make us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at the Hanover Inn while visiting Dartmouth. The rooms were very nice, and overall the hotel was beautiful. We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant attached to the Inn. The food was delicious, definitely recommend.
I resent paying twenty dollars to park my car myself in a parking lot a block from the hotel. It’s New Hampshire, for God’s sakes, not Midtown Manhattan. Makes me feel exploited. For next visit I’ll harder for an alternative.
My stay was only a couple of nights. The Hanover Inn is comfortable and the folks at the front desk are very helpful. They listened to my preferences and recommended a wonderful Nepalese restaurant for dinner. I appreciated their help in finding a taxi which was a challenge on a Sunday evening. I had a suite that looked out over the Dartmouth Green. It was beautiful and surprisingly quiet. The Dartmouth Coach stops a few steps from the Inn so getting to and from Boston Logan airport is seamless.
Very conveniently located if you are visiting Dartmouth college the hotel is modern and clean Rooms are comfortable with a nice view on the Dartmouth green Restaurant downstairs Pine is pricy but good with good gluten free options
