While I was not here for pleasure I did stay for two nights as my husband was having treatments at Dartmouth Hitchcock.. I was given a discount rate the first night ( very sweet ) the following night they could not offer the same rate .. They did put me in a beautiful room on the top floor and I had a very quiet room .. The staff is exceptional and very kind ,especially the valet guys ,they brought my car around a few times a day .. There is a 25 dollar fee per day , but it was so worth every penny to have a heated and clean car as it snowed one of the nights .. I had dinner in my room both nights as I was at the hospital for most of the day .. The food was exceptional..I had the burger one night that was yummy.. also splurged and had some chocolate homemade ice cream and it was some of the best I have ever had .. I also had the Brussel spout salad that was phenomenal.. While it was not a pleasure trip ,they made sure I was treated extremely well and felt safe and comfortable.. I would stay again .. It’s very close to the hospital and when things are stressful it’s nice to know you are in a safe and comforting place to lay your head .. Thank you all for your kindness and good healthy food !!! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for pleasure or comfort when you need to feel safe and close to someone in the hospital .. Momkaz

It brings us such joy to read how much we made you feel at home here at the Hanover Inn. We loved being able to provide you with five-star service to make your trip as seamless as possible during your husband's treatments, and we are thrilled you were able to enjoy a delicious and healthy meal each night to help keep you going. I will gladly pass along your praise to our talented chef, especially for the homemade ice cream! We were happy to be able to assist you with the snow removal for your car, and we would love to have you back anytime!

Kris Braune, one of the managers, was a delight to work with and made sure our anniversary visit to the Hanover Inn was relaxing and fun even before we arrived. Patient when explaining the differences between the rooms and VERY patient when explaining all the precautions taken during this time of COVID, Kris did everything a guest could hope for to make us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Hanover Inn is in the ideal location for visiting Dartmouth College: it is steps away from both the campus and downtown Hanover with a front view of The Green. The hotel is spotless and has excellent service, although its restaurant The Pine is rather expensive. The dark green and white decor throughout the building give visitors the complete Dartmouth experience

My stay was only a couple of nights. The Hanover Inn is comfortable and the folks at the front desk are very helpful. They listened to my preferences and recommended a wonderful Nepalese restaurant for dinner. I appreciated their help in finding a taxi which was a challenge on a Sunday evening. I had a suite that looked out over the Dartmouth Green. It was beautiful and surprisingly quiet.

The Dartmouth Coach stops a few steps from the Inn so getting to and from Boston Logan airport is seamless.

We chose this hotel for a Dartmouth college visit. This hotel is right across from campus. You can even say it's on campus. It's a beautiful property and you really feel the college spirit with the matching Dartmouth color theme and décor in the room. There is a fine dining restaurant in the lobby. We had breakfast there and it was a great meal. Coffee was excellent too. Hotel is located in downtown Hanover and walkable to the restaurants around it. We paid about $280/night and that was after joining the Preferred Hotels program. I felt it was still a bit high but there is no other hotel in this location. You would have to drive. We appreciated the service they offered of putting our luggage in our car we had valeted as we went off to our college tour. I would definitely stay here again if our student chooses Dartmouth.

I live about an hour and a half north of Hanover. My wife, who was visiting family in New Zealand, was returning after long trip and arriving in Hanover at 9pm, from the Dartmouth Coach’s Logan airport run. Not being a fan of driving at night I decided to book a room at the Hanover Inn. The location of the Inn is at the epicenter of the town directly across from Dartmouth Colleges’ main quad, convenient to it all, and perfect for our needs. When I arrived, I was greeted by the valet and immediately felt welcome. Stepping into the Inn this feeling carried through with Sam who checked me in. We stayed in room 408 which is a well-appointed suite overlooking the campus. I was originally concerned with street noise but was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. I was most impressed with the high quality of the bed, so uncommon for even boutique hotels, which provided a most comfortable night sleep for its’ weary travelers. From the start, the intention of staying at the inn was just a place to spend the night, but surprisingly provided much more. The Inn has an atmosphere that is warm, relaxing, and yes, conducive to unplanned romance! To sum it up, the Inn is a blend of history, elegance, a touch of enchantment, and superior service from start to finish. If traveling to southern New Hampshire or Vermont, do not miss the opportunity to stay here, and if you can suite 408. Special thanks to Frank and Brian!

I stayed in a dog friendly room with my 2 Labrador retrievers (11&3) to visit my ‘27 daughter. Although I am a 97 alum I had never stayed at the inn. It was lovely. The food at the Pine was delicious, the staff accommodated our late checkout so we could take a walk with the dogs in the late morning and the room was perfect. They even had dog bowls, a bed and a few dog bags already in the room. The only thing I would recommend would be some dark towels to dry the dogs. Hanover winter/spring is mud season. Will definitely stay there again.

I can't thank this hotel enough for their kindness in helping us get a room after our daughter's four month old fell ill right after our son's wedding. I can only say that Christian a the front desk was meticulous, empathetic and incredibly kind as he checked us in. The room was elegant but not pretentious, the bed comfortable beyond measure and dining at the Pine made what could have been a very troubling time into a complete respite. We had been traveling all summer and this hotel proved to be just what we needed. Thank you Christian and thank you Hanover Inn!

After 4 years of visits to Hanover, we decided to spend a night at the Hanover Inn and we were disappointed.

Arriving after a long drive on a cold winter's night we looked forward to the warmth and comfort of the Inn.

On arrival, Rachel at reception was as cold as the air outside. The other employees were distracted and aloof. It was a quiet evening and I returned to the reception desk to ask for another room key. Rachel did not remember our check-in and insisted that I provide her with identification.

Our room was cramped and overlooked the facilities at the rear of the building. The bathroom was compact, clean, and efficient. My wife and I were unable to use the improvised desk to work because it was too small and attached to the wall.

While it is possible that we just had a poor experience, it is also possible that a lack of competition leads to complacency. Either way, we have moved on from the Hanover Inn.

We stayed here for a few nights. It offers a place for Dartmouth alumni. The valet parking makes car parking so easy. They offer coffee every morning. The gym is located at the basement. I wish the business center has a bit more space. The hotel’s location is right in front of the Dartmouth College.
