I would never give a $ to the owners of this motel!! My friend had a double room and offered for myself and daughter to come for the night. Once we arrived the owner came out informing us that the room was over capacity "according to fire code" despite reviewing the code and the motel policy was still told we couldn't stay and I actually offered to pay for another room so we disapoint the kids and were still told "NO" even though the vacant sign was displayed. At that point I felt so insulted I wouldn't give her a pennie!!! Will definitely be writing on the BBB page as well!!

Location is great, just a quick walk to the beach and a little away from the craziness of the beach which is nice. The whole property, grounds and the rooms are super clean and well kept. The owners and all staff are so nice and hospitable that it makes the whole experience that much better. We will be staying here every time we go back to visit Hampton Beach for sure!!!!

After landing at Hampton Beach on July 2 and losing our original rental for a week, we made our way down the street and saw a "vacancy" sign at the Blue Jay Motel. Mary and Rose were so welcoming. The rooms was clean, kitchenette fully stocked with anything you would need, outdoor space and a grill for guest use and the outdoor shower after a day at the beach: it was a perfect place to land. We enjoyed our week at the Blue Jay.

The first time I stayed a the Blue Jay, I knew I would be back. I went back this past weekend and asked for a 2nd floor room, they gave me lucky room 13, perfect room!!! The rooms are a bit small with a queen bed, but who cares, how much time do you spend in the room anyway. The room was very clean and orderly, with plenty of hot water for my shower. The air conditioner was really quiet too, great to sleep with it on. The owners are so nice there, they treat you like family. The price of the room was good, and I stayed two nights. Plenty of gas grills to cook on if you want. The 2nd floor porch is huge with enough glass topped table for plenty of people. Yes, make reservations there and I'm sure you'll go back as I do!!! :-)

This will be mine & my husbands second stay at The Blue Jay. Mary & Rose are hostesses with the mostest! They make an already good stay turn great ! The rooms are always clean and well kept. The decks are spotless and beautiful. The grounds are kept up really well too. Short walk to beach and sites. This past weekend was The Seafood Festival, and it was awesome! Can't wait until next year !!
