We stayed i. Room 123 this past week and have to say it was a wonderful experience. This is a small roadside motel that is partially two story. When we arrived early to secure a room there were no longer any first floor rooms available. We are senior citizens and this is a huge plus for us. Regardless we booked the room and then departed for sightseeing and dinner. Upon return to actually grab the room key etc we discover that the facility shuffled things around and we were secured a first floor room to our surprise and delight. A wonderful display of caring for their clientele
Facility is immaculate both on the outside grounds and the room itself
Facility has a nice heated outdoor pool and gas fired fire pit. Saw at least two immaculate clean gas fired BBQ grills for the sole use of the vacationers
If ever in Gorham please check this place out. Oh and did I mention that it is on Main street. Walking distance too restaurants/Off road vehicles ( which are a big deal in this area) etc.
Stay here and you will be happy you did

Mike

This is our second time staying here. The rates are very reasonable, the place is very well maintained, the room are spacious and everything is super clean. It is indeed home away from home. We were lucky to meet the proprietor, a very nice, very accomodating person that are actually on site. A lot of details has been put into this place. I was very happy that after a seven hour drive (we got in a bit late) as I was approaching my room. I can see the inside of my room. The shades were up on the big window, welcoming me in for a rest as I unlocked the door to my room. The heating element was running, making it such a pleasure after coming in from the cold outside.

The place is quiet. We traveled with our two dogs, we do wish that the pet fees are lower or charged by per accomodation but we are not complaining. Most of the time, pet friendly room have weird smell but this does not. The bathroom is spacious. The bed are firm but there were a lot of plush pillows on each bed so that there is a solid foundation for sleeping without body pain yet the soft pillows can be used to pad some areas for comfort.

We love White Mountain! I think that this will be our home while we are visiting White Mountain when we are visiting every year (or every other years). It is only approximate 30 minutes drive from the entrance to Mount Washington drive. There are a lot of restaurants (most do close by 9pm though) and a Walmart within 5 minutes of drive from this lodging.

We are looking back to visiting this place again!!

This was our 7th trip to Mt Madison Inn & Suites and it just keeps getting better every time! The owners (Ron and Ashley) have done a beautiful job of updating the rooms throughout the years and maintaining the grounds. The clean rooms are a good size with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Outside there are 2 gas grills to cook on and a beautiful pool area with a propane fire pit that is lit at night. Caroline at the front desk was AMAZING!!! She truly RAN around the property with a smile under her mask to make sure everyone was happy! And Derek was always checking in on us by the pool to make sure we had everything we needed! And the owners are frequently on site as well making sure that everything is running smoothly....a true testament of how much pride they take in this property and their sister property, Top Notch Inn down the street! Another great perk about staying here is it is so close to the ATV trails. We are so happy that we decided to keep our tradition of staying here despite the pandemic.... and we already booked again for next year!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the deluxe queen room around labor day. The room was simple and cozy. The mattress was on the firm side but not too bad. I liked that it was very clean and there was a good size fridge in the room. The water pressure in the shower was great although I do recommend bringing your own shampoo & conditioner. The inn is on the corner of two busy streets so it was really noisy with traffic and also the ATVs going in and out. It's in a good location near great restaurants and easy access nearby attractions. They do have a heated pool however when we went in(in the afternoon) it was frigid. Maybe they heat it closer to sunset, I don't know.

Thank you for staying at Mt Madison Inn & Suites! We are glad you enjoyed our cozy rooms and found our location convenient for your activities! In the future, we do have rooms located away from the road for those who prefer less traffic noise! Our pool is heated at all times, we do apologize if it may have been cooler than usual. This can be greatly effect by the temperature and weather outside. You can always bring your concerns to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you staying here in the future!

The rooms were clean and staff super nice but definitely think they need to assign parking spaces I stayed there for over a week maybe a week and a half and only three of those nights where I able to park near my room while my neighbors had about 6 or 7 spots in front of my rooms for RVs and other things that they would start up super early and leave idling while waking everyone up around them. rvs should have there own space or atleast have to fit more then one in a spot. but when I need to get something from my car I need to walk across the parking lot. One night I had.to make my own spot becuase we got back late and there were no spots . But room was clean and nice staff 🤷‍♀️

I took my grandson up North to go ATVing. We stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very well kept, fresh and clean. Had a fridge and microwave. If I would complain about one thing it was the size of the tv,, but other than that,... there really was no complaints. They have a great pool area/ firepit and control the noise. After 10pm, you need to be back at your room/quiet this is not a party after ten hotel. I like that for it seems we are all there to either hike, bike, atv and get up early to do so. I would recommend a room off the street since you can hear the atvs in the road. I can't wait to go back again!

Last minute booking to spend a few days hiking in the White Mountains. Reservations staff were very efficient and accommodating. The room was newly renovated and the bed very comfy. Location was great for reaching trail heads to hike along the Carter-Moriah area. Front office staff and grounds-keepers were very friendly and helpful. A lot guests making the most of trails using ATV/off road vehicles. Even with that traffic, the resort was quiet and peaceful. Had no trouble finding decent places to eat during the Covid-19 period.

Based on the reviews we were excited to stay here however once we checked into our room it was apparent that the sheets weren’t changed due to hairs in the bed and many surfaces were not cleaned. We went back to the lobby to request a change of rooms and the guy working the desk was like “sometimes the cleaning lady’s hair gets in the sheets” then I let him know they were short small hairs and he laughed saying “maybe it was my beard hairs”. Anyway, he didn’t seem concerned at all but put us in a different room. The rooms bed was definitely clean however in both rooms the carpets were disgusting like guests must be wearing muddy boots in and they just vacuumed over it. All the trims, surfaces need to be wiped down and cleaned. Overall, a very unclean place and when you pay $200 a night, I’d except a bit more. Disappointing to say the least.

The room was clean and comfortable. Beds, pillows, sheets and blankets were clean and comfy as well as the towels and everything else in the room.
The cable TV was basic; but It was easy to connect our streaming device and watch our usual shows.
The internet was adequate to stream shows at low resolution; but not strong enough for high demand online gaming (we didn't mind this much).
The hotel location is very convenient for visiting Story Land, Santa's Village and Mt. Washington.
Kid friendly fast food restaurants such as McDonalds, and Subway are nearby. Even a Walmart is close by to get any necessities.
If traveling with young children, consider to ask for a room in the second floor, because vehicles park right outside of the doors in the first floor.
The hotel staff was courteous and accommodating.
The carpet could have been cleaner; but it wasn't dirtier than the carpet at home anyway.
The are train tracks that run right behind the hotel. The first night this train ran at about 11:30pm and woke us up with its loud whistle. We didn't mind it that much because we made part of the adventure of being on vacation. However, the noise of the train can scare a lot light sleepers.
Also, a girl form another family was coughing her lungs out in the pool one day, putting mucus and spit in big blobs in the water. In times of Covid this was concerning to us. We told the administration and they put chemicals in the water to clean it. so, just be mindful of what other people are doing and stay safe.

My wife and I loved this place! And bringing your dog is no problem. Just paid a small extra fee of $10 a night.

The pool area is fantastic and well kept. They have a fabulous fire pit the turn on at 8pm. We just kicked back, had a few drinks, and enjoyed great conversation with the other travelers.

The hotel also had two propane grills ready for use for guest. After a day of hiking it was awesome to grill steaks and relax.

I will suggest this hotel to anyone who ask about the white mountain area. I had the most amazing vacation exploring all day and resting here in the evenings.

Not sure I’ve only been there in the summer/fall. The ATVs have to ride up the road from the rental place by the Inn. I suggest you call them directly they are super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Mt. Madison.
