The room and bathroom needs some update, but it compensates with the cleanliness and amenities. They even had clean rags for car cleaning. The location is good and close to the area's atractions. I really recommend.
Traveling on motorcycles we stopped here for the night just because it was the first place for under $100/night. Bathroom in the room was not very clean, you could tell they just give it the "once over" with a mop. The FRP panels on the walls of the tub/shower were coming off, just partially held on with [sloppily-applied] rtv caulk. In all the hotels/motels I've slept in this one had... BY FAR... the worst, most uncomfortable bed ever. At least the room smelled OK. The door-latch on the room's door was loose and barely worked, at least it had a dead-bolt lock above the door knob. Just outside the door there was a concrete "slope" going from the threshold down to the step/porch, I slipped on that twice, it's an ankle-killer waiting to get you. Then, the free breakfast, when we went in the lobby at 7:30 there was nobody in there and very few items (danish, donuts, etc.) out to eat. Next time I'll sleep beside the road somewhere, it costs less and would probably be nicer. The pool was small but well kept.…
This was a well maintained solid motel that I would recommend. The room decor is a little dated but overall you can tell the owners care about the property and the rooms and property and clean and cared for. The breakfast spread was a nice touch and loved the Keurig machine in the lobby! This wasn’t a home-run of a motel (needs new comforters for the bed, more modern touches in rooms), but as far as roadside motels go (and we stay in a lot), this was a good one that I liked a lot. I did feel the owners care about it which means a lot.
We ended up here because it was the cheapest hotel on Hotel.com. We paid 60 for a double, before tax. But, this placed turned out to be great. Modern bed, TV, and Wifi. Very clean room and friendly staff. The room is pretty old-school, but I like it...fits with the surroundings.
I have a lot of personal things going on with my life but Alicia put me next to her since I was a single young lady alone. She said “girls stick together” someone called to see where I was staying and she didn’t tell them as well as the next morning she came to my room and told me about what had happened and that someone was looking for me. She made sure I was safe, and when I was leaving she peaked her head out and told me if I needed anything I knew where she was. I’m very thankful there’s actually still good people out there. Again thank you Alicia! I live local now so if you need a housekeeper I’m available! 😉
