Our first time camping and Glen Ellis made it easy. The site was clean and our neighbors were nice and respectful. The 10pm quiet time was enforced. Our favorite part of Glen Ellis was tubing down the Saco River or sitting in a lawn chair reading with my feet in the river. The bathrooms were clean although the price has... More

Glen Ellis an outstanding Campground. My family and I have been here three or four times. I deal with Rich every year to book the site and he is great! Couldn't be more accommodating. Last July was our first "group" camping trip and it was excellent. We camped with my son's soccer team...about 15 or more people. We reserved a... More

Glen Ellis Family Campground is a great place to relax and get away from the bustle of everyday life. It is a large campground with sites on two rivers, in the woods and in open sun. There are pull in sites for big RV's and more private sites for small campers and tents. The campground is very clean and the... More

This place has been beyond awesome!! It has everything you can imagine, from outdoor sports, beautiful grounds, full camp store, swimming pool, laundry facility, tubing down the river, or just relaxing on the beach. Not to mention there super cool rec hall! I can go on and on. We have had so much fun we booked an extra night. The... More

Beautiful campground with plenty of wide open spaces. We have a 30ft rv and parked adjacent to the center field the runs through the middle of this spacious park. In addition to about 2 football field lengths of just wide open grass, there's a baseball field, complete with dugout and stands, a playground, and covered sitting area. The views are... More

We stayed in Glen Ellis for 5 days in one of the rental trailers. We visited Story Land which is around the corner. The trailer was excellent. Clean, well-kept and well-stocked. Reason for three stars is the staff really. The couple of times we visited the store I did not feel welcomed. And we had to go there because there... More

Our 5 day stay was just what we hoped. We'd recommend this campground to anyone with a trailer or rv. Pros: very clean and well kept. Big pool, very good laundry facilities, gorgeous setting surrounded by mountains, riverside campsites are truly lovely, good location for shopping and day trips. Cons: choose your campsite carefully (many are small and not private),... More

The location was good, near town, grocery store and Rt 16 for Mt. Washington. The place is a little pricey but there is alot available to do, pool, tennis, arcade and the river. The reason for only 3 of 5: the river is just ok, in some places it is rather shallow and easy to get hung up on the... More

All in all, I'd say this is a pretty nice campground. (This is coming from a self proclaimed campground snob) It was clean, well kept, and level. The playground and arcade were just above average. The main road through the campground was paved and the side roads were gravel. Lots of tent sites, but we had no problem on our... More

We have had the pleasure of staying at Glen Ellis almost every summer for the past 14 years. Just got back from our week this year, and it was another pleasant experience. I agree with other comments that sites can vary widely so ideally book for the following year while there, so you can see the site location. This year... More
