What a beautiful & fun place this is! Nick the inn keeper was wonderful and makes a great breakfast. We stayed 2 nights. (Monday & Tuesday). We were the only ones there Monday so it was a quiet night and very nice. Tuesday there were a few more people & we all gathered in the sitting room by the bar Tuesday evening. Jim & I decided to have a glass of wine at the bar. As the rest of the visitors arrived they decided to join us. This is where we all met and shared stories of where we were from & our trip plans. Such a wonderful evening was had by all. Nick and the housekeeper ( I forget her name but a wonderful woman!) joined us for great conversation. Nick showed us pictures of the little black bear who visits the inn now and then. Don’t worry he doesn’t bother anyone! This place is close to everything. We hiked and explored the Beautiful White Mountains. Nick gave us a coupon for the Auto Road up Mt. Washington which was absolutely amazing. A must for all visitors. We hit a brewery and brew pub where we again met some wonderful people. If you’re visiting this area this place is a wonderful place to stay! If you do stay tell Nick we said 👋!

One of the best B&B’s we’ve stayed at. Perfect location for doing all of the touristy activities. Very low key and relaxed. Pretty sure Nick the innkeeper has cloned himself since he seems to be everywhere doing everything. The Madison Boulder room was immaculate and so inviting. The jacuzzi tub was a godsend after a long day of hiking. Breakfast was simple yet hearty. A word of warning: if you ask for the pancakes, ask for just one since Nick makes them the size of the entire plate! We very much enjoyed our stay here and are already making plans to go back! Thank you for a fabulous getaway!

I was beyond amazed by the whole experience! My teenage daughter and I travel one-two times a year to get away from our busy jobs and school lives and this was just the place we needed! We were very happy with the accommodations, the Wellness Center on site which we took advantage of and loved and especially the Inn Keeper, Nick. He is amazing and in the 35 or so years I have traveled, no one has ever done a better job knowing his clientele and making everyone feel comfortable, welcome and at home! The history and beauty of the Inn is well-maintained. I would like to visit again and hope to do so as soon as possible! The made-to order breakfast is as good as everyone says it is. The whirlpool tub is luxurious and the rooms are very nice and the beds comfy. The cooling and heat works very well and the TV is just perfect - swings so that you can see it wherever you are in the room. Nicely done all around! I highly recommend!

As the parents of a 7 year old and 4 year old, having a relaxing weekend away is certainly not on our schedule. In fact, my husband and I have only spent ONE night away from our children at the same time since they were born. From the moment we walked into the Inn and shook hands with Nick, I knew I had fallen in love! The Bernerhof Inn is truly amazing! The house is incredible! Nick was incredible!! The rooms were immaculate! Staying there felt like being at home (as far as the comfort level) but we didn't have to cook or clean or worry about a thing! The weekend was made even better with the Murder Mystery shenanigans that we went up there for! What a blast!!! We will absolutely be returning and I will be counting down the days until we do!!!

We stayed at the Bernerhof for our first anniversary getaway weekend. Our innkeeper, Nick, greeted us at the desk and proved himself to be a force of nature! Always smiling and busy, but never too busy to attend to our needs. Even opening the window and offering a drink from the bar while we were sitting on the porch rockers right outside the small bar area! Breakfast was always delicious and satisfying. The chef, Chris, offers a choice of 3 items daily (usually a breakfast sandwich, a bread such as pancakes or french toast, and an omelet), with a choice of juices and a fruit and yogurt parfait to start. We only had dinner the first night there since we were tired from driving, but it was very good. We each chose the BLT sandwich and we could have split one - thay were huge! The room we had (Conway Center) was spacious and very clean. The large hot tub was great and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also very clean. We only had 2 minor issues with our room: First, the toilet was very slow to flush, but this may have been due to being on the third floor of the building. Second, a small table in the room would have been handy since one night we got some takeout to eat in the room. Oh and be warned, there is no elevator, so hope you like stairs! :) We will definitely be back, maybe for one of the murder mystery weekends they have scheduled!
