We booked Ladyslipper in November 2017 with spec bowers (the owner) . Spec told me that Ladyslipper was being rented long term but. If it wasn’t available he would upgrade us . I was thrilled to be all set with our lodging. We were going to a wedding at dexters inn . Didn’t want to stay there because the owner was going to put my 21 year old son in our room . We arrived at George’s mills cottages, tried to find the office. There was a sign that said office my husband went in came back out quick and said no that’s not it . Next we encountered a drunk man on the second floor who proceeded to tell us that the owner was crazy and we could find him in his office and pointed to where we had just been. Spec was working on a retainer wall, showed us sugarplum cottage. It was all decorated with flowers on the outside , the inside was clean and decorated elegantly. We had a beautiful fireplace but no wood to burn or buy . We had a small roll of toilet paper no extra and 6 people. We bought our own because we couldn’t find the owner. They show a beach on the website but all it really was a small area that had sand with a fire pit in the middle of the space and a 6 unit apartments above it. The view from my sons room was a rundown pop up trailer and lots of junk everywhere. If you close all the curtains and stayed in the cabin it was nice. If not you didn’t feel comfortable. Spec had a lot of residents living on the property it made us feel like we were invading their space. I believe sugarplum is his only cabin for his customers. Really it’s not a good mix . I live in the city and wanted to escape. . . It didn’t happen!

Rented Sugarplum for the month of June. Upon arrival we encountered a move in delay of a few hours due to remodeling. Owner readily fixed any issues that we had. We enjoyed the cottage for the month, mostly on week-ends. This is not a four star luxury motel, if that is what you are looking for. Does not have daily room/maid service. It is a rustic waterfront cabin with a beach nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed the month, using their boats to fish much of the time there. Direct TV to catch the Red Sox or sit out on the screened in porch listening to the loons at sunset.

First came to cottages expecting it to be on lake Sunapee.Wasnt expecting it to be on busy roads, wasn't safe for my dogs.We went into the owners "office" I don't know if he was living there or what.He is a hoarder. He rented are cottage to some other family.Forgetting that we had reservations. We were renting the Golden Rod.The owner kicked the family out that we were in the cottage we were suppose to be in.The cottage out side in back looked horrible. When going on kayaks the lodge looked the worst and run down than the rest of the houses that are on otter pond. The water stunk so bad didn't even want to shower.A lot of things are broke in the cottage. Not coming back good thing we planned on staying for 2 nights that's it.

We had a great cabin right next to the lake. Our rustic cottage gave us all the amenities needed to survive a wonderful week under the country ski. Our cottage was clean and there was plenty of room in the kitchen to make a meal. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and all linen was available. We'll be back. Ted and Lilla Norwich Vt.

We stayed here in late summer and wanted to leave within the first hour. We picked Birch because it looked the best on the web and was "updated". It smelled really badly of dog, the kitchen had a greasy/sticky film everywhere, the carpet was dirty and ripped in the living area, there was no soap in the bathroom, only half a roll of toilet paper, the molding was missing in places, the blinds were broken, our bed was hard and there was no mattress cover. We thought we were going to stay in a quaint cottage on a pond and instead stayed in a dirty cottage, close to a busy road. I understand it is a cottage, but it didn't even meet a minimum bar of acceptability.
