Some ‘Inns’ in small school towns can feel a bit dated but I found the Exeter Inn to have a healthy combination of old school charm and modern comforts. Room was a good size and had everything you need to relax or do a bit of work and the bar/restaurant area was a good place to grab a bite or a drink to end the day. Staff was also incredibly nice and helpful/responsive to a few requests I had.
I absolutely loved this place. It’s beautiful, the town is beautiful, it’s convenient to all the little towns you’ll want to go to in the Portsmouth area. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and it’s just a really awesome old building!
We stayed here while visiting our son at Phillips Exeter. You can't beat the proximity. It was a gorgeous inn. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. We appreciated being able to enjoy the bar at night and the continental breakfast was very nice. Fresh baked muffins, deviled egg dip and plenty of other options. Check in staff was friendly and we will be back again!
love the Exeter Inn! We've stayed several times. It is a lovely historic property walking distance from the main street area in historic Exeter. Staff was extremely hospitable, rooms are clean and elegant, yet simple. The complimentary continental breakfast was a terrific addition. Everything you need for a stay.
We took this trip to get away from the holiday stress and enjoy a night to ourselves. It was just what we needed and we will definitely recommend this place to our friends. Everything was perfect and even better than expected!
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Christmas decor in the lobby/throughout the inn made this place perfect for our getaway. We enjoyed bringing our drinks from the bar to the fire place in the lobby and playing board games.
We chose the Exeter Inn primarily for its location and the Epoch Restaurant which is on the premises. It exceeded our expectations! The Queen Fireplace Suite was enormous and very comfortable. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was well-appointed though small compared to the rest of the suite. Still, it was awesome. The restaurant features a social bar atmosphere. The food was excellent. It was busy but the bartender was attentive. The morning continental breakfast had low-cal yogurt and an egg-salad type of offering served in a mason jar which seemed Keto-friendly. (Usually all you get is carbs). The elegance and old-world feel of this place combined with modern amenities and great service makes it a win. We'll be back.
We stayed in the two room suite with the fireplace. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very clean, comfortable and quaint. The restaurant food was also excellent. Staff is very courteous and friendly. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all who works there. The Floyd's
Very clean hotel & room. Will make it a point to return. Staff more than helpful with information about their services in and around the area. Room was spacious & comfortable. Unfortuanley did not dine at the restaurant.
Very well maintained older historic building and comfortable, clean rooms! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the Inn and the area! Would definitely stay here again when visiting the New Hampshire Seacoast!
