We couldn’t have asked for a better home base. Great location for a lot of day trips to the Kanc or lakes or Conway. We stayed in the suite knowing we’d be there for 6 nights. Very comfortable bed, tv in bedroom as well as sitting room. Huge bathroom with double sinks and stall shower. Air if needed. Absolutely wonderful cooked to order breakfast each morning, everything from eggs to pancakes to homemade blueberry bread or banana walnut breads. Coffee/tea and homemade cookies available at all times. We had a refrigerator in room, stocked with sodas. We did both hikes listed in the room’s notebook, very detailed information. Small local beach on the lake a minute down the road, very convenient for a picnic lunch or dinner and a swim. And most of all, can’t say enough about the hosts, Tim was so pleasant and informative and easy to contact. We also attended a concert at the SMAC, all arrangements made by them, transportation as well. Nice evening and wonderful dinner there by the way!…
Beautiful area, lovely Inn, wonderful hosts! We arrived late in the evening and were happy to find cold beverages in the fridge, chocolate chip cookies in the common parlor and a very informative guide to the area with restaurants, hiking trails and points of interest.
Although we've stayed at the inn many times and have always enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the owners, this time we had some pleasant surprises: new windows, a new sign and general feeling of being refreshed. Luckily that wonderful relaxing feeling was still there along with a delicious breakfast and a big hug from Tim! If you're heading to the White Mountains, be sure to make this your home base.
We so enjoyed our stay at The Inn and look forward to returning again and again. The location is great. Close enough to North Conway but not in the hustle and bustle. The room was tastefully decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and the linens were very soft. The hosts, Bobby and Tim are exceptional innkeepers. Their attention to detail, convenience and comfort was so appreciated. We loved the cinnamon raisin bread in the morning as a prelude to a delicious home cooked breakfast and the cookies that were left for a late evening snack. Tim is so personable, ready to give expert suggestions on the area's attractions and those off the beaten path. We were made to feel very special hope to visit again soon!
My favorite bed and breakfast in New Hampshire. I love the Inn at Crystal Lake. The Inn is located in beautiful little village called Eaton Center. There are a number of different rooms available. I have always stayed in the Birdhouse room as I always bring my dog with me. The bed is comfortable. Good A/C in the summer. Clean and tidy. I enjoy rhe Birdhouse theme, yes you guessed it, birdhouses. One of my favorite things is the breakfast. Breakfast is served at 8am. There is usually self serve coffee, tea and OJ. There is usually a nice coffee cake also. This past visit there was a cinnamon raisin version one day and a really delicious blueberry cake the following day. Typically there are eggs, pancakes, different sausages, bacon, breads, english muffins, yogurt, granola, you name it. The village is very picturesque. Right down the street is a famous little white church that I swear Kodak uses as their fall photo worldwide. 5 minutes walking brings you to the beautiful crystal lake. The water is so clean and clear. There is lots of white quartz with fools gold on the lake floor. Sometimes when you look down through the water it looks like little bits of gold shimmering all around your feet. There are also a few nice places to go hiking in the immediate area. North Conway is only about 10 minutes away. I swear the difference in temperature on a hot summer day is 10 degrees cooler in the village. There is a tiny general store that has breakfast and lunch. They also sell some drinks, ice, souvenirs and outdoor/hiking supplies. Bob and Tim are very fiendly and accomodating. If you visit I am sure you will find yourself wanting to visit again.…
Delightful stay and wonderful hosts! The Inn had tasteful decor and wonderful attention to detail for guests. Proximity to Stone Mountain Arts Center made for an absolutely perfect getaway. Can’t wait to return!
We spent a very comfortable night here on June 24. Very clean and interesting older home. Check-in was easy as was the online reservation. Tim recommended the Snow Village Inn for dinner and helped us to get an opening there. It was also very good. Breakfast is made to order. They have juice, tea and coffee, and had a cinnamon raisin bread this morning as well. The lake is beautiful too. We went to Cathedral Ledge after checking out. That is one of the beautiful sights in the area. There is a nice road that takes you almost to the top. Wifi at the inn is also very strong.
My husband and I had eaten dinner here before. This time, we decided to stay for a few nights and had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent and Tim was a friendly and helpful host. We loved to location too, close to North Conway and Stone Mountain Arts Center. Each night I heard the thrilling call of loons from nearby Crystal Lake. We would recommend staying here to our closest friends and family!!
Stayed here with some friends for presidents day weekend. We thought it would just be a place to sleep, but it was so much more! The Inn is extremely inviting, both visually and via the host interactions. We hit a bit of a timing snag and the keepers were quick to accomodate and make sure we felt welcome all the same. There was homemade breaksfast every morning (and cookies every night), excellent recommendations for dinner, and they even kept a fire going. Amazing place to relax after some winter hikes, cant say enough good things. Will be back next year!
The Inn was clean, quiet and very nice. Our room was spacious and our 2 dogs loved it. Tim one of the owners was very hospitable and greeted our dogs. The breakfast was cooked to order and excellent !!. Cant go wrong with this Inn if you like quiet and comfort!. lovely woodstove in the common area was a plus. Thanks Tim!! We will be back.
