I had room 14 (I think) in the basement and it was amazing, a four poster bed, a fire and a Jacuzzi bath. About a ten minute walk from the University and the main drag of shops, although this is about a sum of 20 bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket aimed at mainly students I' guess but all in all a fine place. I also ate at the bar at the hotel, good food, good wine and Don, the barman, was really welcoming.

I stayed at the Three Chimneys Inn for a work trip based on the recommendation of a local colleague. The hotel was charming and rustic, the beds very comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The mini fridge and coffee maker in the room were unexpected but welcome. Breakfast was delicious each day. I tried the restaurant one night and it was delicious. I’m so glad I stayed here instead of the local chain hotel!

About 8 family members stayed overnight before a nearby wedding. To a one, the staff members were friendly and professional. Family shared shots of their rooms, each of which had unique decor in keeping with a 1600s inn. Great area, great dinner and breakfast. Easy parking. Well done.

The Tavern is a very cool environment, very New England! Love the charm. Both of our meals were delicious. Many many choices on the menu. Only way I could decide was to agree to return again... and again! The staff had great customer service.
