My family stayed here for a couple of nights on our road trip. The room was clean and had a very traditional Inn feel. The price was great compared to other inns in the North Conway area. It provided a comfortable place to stay.

Comfortable and clean room at a reasonable price. Simple hotel but perfect for the one night we stayed there. Easy to find as it's very close to town at the beginning of the Kancamagus Highway. I would stay here again if in the area.

There are many hotel options north of here, and the reason we stayed at this hotel is because North Conway, a few minutes to the north where all the other hotels are, is way too busy and overbearing for a rural vacation. This hotel is a few minutes from the Kankamagus Highway and many hiking opportunities, and, if you exit the hotel parking lot correctly, one of the roads (Rt 113 east) leads to Maine, a short drive away, and many more rural settings. Room was a normal motel size room, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a small table, as we got takeout each night and only one of us sat at the desk at a time. But then again, a table would have been in the way during other times. I would return to this hotel if in this area in the future.

We got a call that our room would be open and the office would be closed. We didn't need anything so it wasn't a problem. Decorations outside were very attractive and festive. Enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Restaurants are close by as well as a convenience store across the street.

And the reward for the best hotel bathroom and shower goes to The Scenic Inn of Conway!!! I am always amazed by the lousy, cheap, poorly installed, clogged and leaking shower heads and valves I find in hotels. This shower head was properly positioned and provided by far the most comfortable shower I’ve experienced in a hotel. The shower components were not expensive either but the owners of this small family hotel took the time to find the best functioning components they could! The attention to detail is evident everywhere I looked. I liked the new engineered wood on the bathroom floor. Beautiful and practical. Very nice shower enclosure and curtain. It was big and comfortable to shower in. The bathroom was LARGE looked like 100 SQ ft (I’m guessing). Something I did not expect in this price range. The bathroom consisted of 4 separate areas. Toilet, shower, sink and closet, separated by wing walls and one door. This bathroom even had its own heater and thermostat! The rest of the hotel room was also of good practical quality and attention to detail. I liked that the biggest hotel refrigerator I’ve ever seen was raised off the floor to be more comfortable to access. The well thought out furnishings looked like the owners had planned to live there themselves not to rent it out to others! There are 2 exit doors in these rooms on both floors a distinct fire advantage. The up stairs units doors open to a 8 foot wide veranda with comfortable rocking chairs from which to enjoy the very nice view. There are also outside stairs to the ground. The owners of The Scenic Inn of Conway Joe and Sue are also very kind and professional. On my first visit, my reservation had been for the wrong date (my fault). The hotel was fully booked and Joe and Sue tried to find us another hotel for over an hour. My wife and I were trying to find a room from our car when joe came out and handed me his phone saying that he had found a room for us. I don’t think too many hotel owners would have put as much effort into finding us a room as they did! If you are in the area give this hotel a try you will not be disappointed

There were a few bad things here, and a lot of average things. Overall, I might stay here again, but probably not as there are a lot of options north of here. The bad was having to sleep in the smaller bed because the sheets in the big bed were too stained. The back hallways was . . . creepy at best. And, the air conditioner was nearly impossible to operate. Oh, the one great thing was the internet - probably the fastest of the trip. Otherwise, everything was fine, but not stellar. My usual list of details: Comparison to others in chain: N/A Internet: Excellent (200mbps) Breakfast: Not offered Room: Typical older hotel. Cleanliness: Slept on the smaller bed because the bigger bed’s sheets were stained. Bed: Not bad. Bedding: Below average - no top sheet over the comforter. Shower: Fine, some temperature issues, couldn’t get shower curtain to stay on Hard water: No HVAC: Can’t imagine how certain people would be able to operate it. Location: Fine if you want to be in Conway Noise: Quiet Staff: Fine Cost/Value: Average

Lovely old Southern charm with all the comforts of home. I gave it a 4 star due to the daytime motorcycle traffic on Main. Completely upgraded. Loved the covered sitting area right outside our room and the beds were so comfortable I hated to leave. Would definitely stay here again.

After having difficulty finding a decent place to stay closer to the park for our visit to Story Land, I found this highly rated inn and was lucky enough to get the last room they had available for our trip. It turned out to be such a good thing! It’s far enough away from everything that it was very quiet but it’s literally down the road and minutes away from “tourist central” with all the shopping, food, and attractions. The room was immaculate and very well cared for—you can tell that they paint and update things regularly. We stayed in 101 which was ground level and had a king bed with pullout loveseat. The bathroom has a large, walk-in shower with built in corner seats. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap is provided. There is a fridge and microwave in the room as well as a single-serve coffee maker. They offered a selection of coffee and tea. After having seen the area, we will plan to stay here again. It’s far enough away to relax after running around all day but close enough to get everywhere quickly and easily. The innkeepers are wonderful and they have the cutest little dog! They also have a couple of dog-friendly rooms for those traveling with pets.
