I am all for campgrounds where management is present and involved but Sandy Beach is on the overbearing end of the spectrum. Campground owned John Deere tractors prowl the grounds all day chastising kids for riding bikes "to fast" and telling campers their fires are to smokey. It appears most of their staff are seasonal stayers with nothing to do other than harass non-seasonal guests. When checking in two of them stood next to my truck staring at me while I tried to back in to my spot. They then dropped off two squares of wood only to tell me I couldn't use it because it was red flag but then wouldn't refund me for it. It is by far the WORST camp ground I have stayed at in NH; which is a shame because the area is lovely.
Everyone at the campground is happy. It is a very welcoming campground. They were very helpful at the office. There was a lot of things for children to do. My daughter had such a fun time during their Halloween weekend. The beach area is gorgeous. We will definitely be back!
This is a great campground with a beautiful sanding beach on a small lake, with great sunsets. They have numerous playgrounds and recreation areas for kids, a small dock and put on family friendly events for the entire campground to enjoy. The sites are spacious and wooded, with a number of different sections that have fun names for the kids to remember. Also, it is a short drive to the Contoocook river and Concord. @BoundlessBakers will definitely be coming back next time we're in NH!
The campground is very nice with spacious sites, bathrooms and showers. Lot's of seasonal people come here and are super nice. Office staff very friendly as well. Beach area was great for swimming especially for small children. Very dog friendly campground as well. Very clean.
Campground was quiet at night, well maintained for our RV needs and had a nice beach and plenty of fish to catch in the pond. Sewer hookups were a little high which prevented easy dump but manageable.
