We stayed at the Clarke House B & B for a few days at the very end of the autumn season so were lucky enough to be the only guests. This made for a very relaxed stay and we really enjoyed the warm welcome, amazing, generous breakfasts (with alternatives prepared for our younger daughter who has several food allergies), comfortable... We only had the opportunity to stay one night at the Clarke House BnB, but it was like a warm and wonderful visit with family and close friends. There was fresh baked cookies upon our arrival, with a personal tour of the house to help us get settled in. Later, we were entertained with George's stories, the banter back and... More

This was the first time I stayed at a B&B. It was a great experience. The folks who run the Clark House are so friendly and accomodating. The place is quiet and the breakfasts are of gourmet quality every morning. The house and rooms are kept spotless. What a terrific way to enjoy the area near Laconia.

We stayed with George and Cindy this past weekend for the first of what I know will be many more visits. My wife and Cindy had an instant bond, seemingly spending hours admiring the decor and discussing their common love of crafts. And Cindy's gourmet breakfasts are out-of-this-world! Not to be outdone, George regaled us with tales of historical note... More

My husband, my two daughters (8 and 10) and I enjoyed a real treat this past weekend at the home of George and Cindy Clarke. They are wonderful, sincere, gracious hosts, and we all did not want to leave! Walking downstairs to a gourmet breakfast and a warm fire was a really great way to start the day. Cindy's cooking... When we stayed at The Clarke House in 2011 it started to snow when we arrived. Inside it was so warm, beautiful and peaceful that we spent most of our time inside at the fire place. Cindy and George are great hosts, welcoming and entertaining. Christmas decoration is simply awesome, every spot of the house is decorated in a beautiful... More

This B&B was a great location for my wife and I to visit nearby White Mountain NH attractions and enjoy the fall leaves in early October. George and Cindy were warm and welcoming hosts and the living rooms and bedrooms were well appointed with early American furnishings. Cindy spoiled us with two wonderful and original four course breakfasts including a... More

My husband and I stayed at The Clarke House in 2008 and again this year for Christmas vacation. Cindy and George put so much thought into creating experiences their guests will thoroughly enjoy. We stayed at the Clarke House in early October this year on our first trip out east to see the fall colors. If you have never stayed in a B&B before, you will be spoiled forever. George and Cindy offered the best of what a B&B should be -- warm, genuine hospitality, great food, super comfortable room. Beyond that, our... More
