We stayed in the Bretton Arms and got a roomy mini-suite. It dates back to the 1890s and they’ve done updates that retain the quaintness. Staff amazing but understaffed. No valet service for luggage (we are seniors) no shuttle service to the main Omni so we had to drive over in the rain. Asked for and got refunded the daily resort fee as there were none of the supposed services included, including minimal dining options. Short-staffed I know and the staff did their best under difficult circumstances. Beautiful setting.

Property's Favorite Review
We just returned home from our stay at Omni Bretton Arms Inn At Mount Washington. At first glance, we were skeptical but simply because we’d never traveled to this location before and it appeared a bit “too nice” for our family trip. We have 2 small children and were looking for a place to vacation that would fill our days with activities and a place we could unwind at night. This was that place. Please note: the lodge is located across the street, and the Inn is a short walk from the hotel. We didn’t think the Inn would be a good match for us but when pulling up, we were made to feel right at home with A gentlemen that worked there named Tom. Tom absolutely made our trip. I cannot speak highly enough about this individual. He was kind, helpful, great to talk to and we benefited so much from having him welcome us and befriend our kids. He had so much information for us and he was so wonderful. It is the personal attention we received at the Inn that will encourage us to return. Anyone that is reading this, know there isn’t anything to eat at the Inn other than the morning coffee, pastries and juice. The walk up to the The Mt Washington Resort is 10 min walk max and it’s a beautiful, peaceful walk. We enjoyed the separation from the Resort itself. The Inn neighbors the privately owned stables and we benefited greatly from that as well. There are pony rides, horseback riding and carriage rides at your fingertips for a small extra fee. We loved that and visited multiple times a day. The staff there was also wonderful. Both pools, both indoor and outdoor, were well kept and clean; Towels readily available always. The food was delicious, yet extremely costly. There aren’t a ton of options other than the main dining room and the basement Steakhouse. Both offer breathtaking mountainside views. We will come back

We stopped by to view hotel as highly recommended by our Cog Railway Conductor. It was beautiful. We wore masks. We walked around & enjoyed this lovely hotel. We found Stickneys (may have this spelled wrong) & asked for table for 3. Hostess was very curt which surprised me for this fine hotel. She did say dining room closed but you may have a table in bar which we took. Took a bit for our waiter to come but that was because the bar was kept busy by guests coming in to order drinks. It was 75th birthday for one of the gals so we really were just delighted to be able to enjoy the ambiance of this great old hotel. Service was ok never brought water but as I said these 2 guys busy as every table in bar room full. Meals were good. We walked around a bit more. The fireplace in lobby was beautiful. They said they were practicing safe COVID procedures but we truly did not see much of this going on. We literally saw no masks being worn other than the ones We had on. We were truly delighted we got to enjoy lunch here.

Dear 752ruthy, Thank you for your review. We are happy to have had you as our guests after a trip up Mt. Washington on the Cog Railway, and are honored to have been part of your friend's 75th birthday. We appreciate your patience and apologize that service was not prompt, but we are glad to know that you enjoyed the special ambiance of the Hotel. The health and safety of our guests and associates is our top priority. We are adhering to all CDC guidelines, local mandates and Omni’s Safe & Clean initiative. That being said, we take this matter very seriously, and we apologize if that did not seem apparent during your visit. We do appreciate all of your comments and are happy we were able to be a part of a memorable visit to the White Mountains.

We had a lovely weekend at the Omni Bretton Woods. Staff was great all around. The buffet breakfast was absolutely terrible. I simply cannot understand how bad. They charge over $25 a plate for boxed scrambled eggs and spam in the "omelet " To say this was so overly disappointing, is to minimize how terrible the food quality and presentation was. The eggs had green specs. The omlete was filled with what resembled cat food. Truly unacceptable. Otherwise, we had a nice time and I would have given 4 stars.

Prior to my last stay this was by far one of my favorite Hotels to visit any time I was up in the area. It was my preference over the Main Mount Washington hotel due to it being a smaller and more cozy hotel which usually leads it to also being quieter. At arrival I mentioned to the Gentleman checking me in that on all of my other stay I had stayed in room 47 and said that I preferred that room or a room like it due to it being extremely quiet, smaller than most of the other rooms and therefor giving it a more cozy feel(I enjoy the slanted roof/walls). I was told that room 47 was not available and simply said well if you have any quiet rooms that are of a similar style I would appreciate it. I guess I needed to be more specific because when I arrived to my room ( AVOID ROOM 34 AT ALL COST) I quickly realized I was 8 feet from the elevator , above the main entrance which also has an area for cars to pull up and unload at all hours of the night. So I was gifted a stay that included being right above the main door and check-in area, I got to listen to cars being unloaded and the main door closing all day/night as well as the lovely clunking sound of people using the dollys getting on and off the elevator for a solid 48 hours. All for the spectacular price of $625. I travel and sleep in Hotels close to 30 weeks out of the year for work and I am 80% of the time traveling alone. In this time I realized this is both a blessing and a curse as many Hotels will attempt to stick the single Male in the most complained about room and hope it slips by without a complaint. And as such I did not say a word and just did not sleep for two days because of it. To top it all off they have made such claims about cleanliness during Covid but the bathroom was pretty disgusting. I will ask anyone who reads this to go in to room 34 and look behind the bathroom mirror on the wall, mind you this wall is clearly visible as the mirror is mounted off the wall and it can be seen from the shower and toilet with ease. So much dust and hair, the tub itself had mold along the base as well. Also I can't say how disappointed I was to seeing the "Resort Service Charge" of $70 during Covid as most of the "services" are not even active. I did not use one service at the Hotel and you still get hit with an additional $35 a day charge. The Restaurant was not open so if I wanted food I had to walk/drive to the Main Hotel and even there so many of the "services" are at a bare minimum. Using the Pool during a pandemic? No thanks, but sure I'll pay for it. Such a disappointment, I expected better from Omni. Sadly this will most definitely be my last stay at The Bretton Arms. I just can't justify the price for what it has become. I suppose I was spoiled over my last 4-5 trips as I always had one of the quiet rooms and therefor had an amazing stay. It's amazing how sleep can make an experience so much better.

Dear nbdavin, Thank you very much for sharing your review. We are extremely sorry that we failed to meet your expectations for this trip. The Omni Bretton Arms Inn is in fact a guest favorite for those seeking quieter and more intimate accommodations than the Hotel, and we apologize that this was not the case for this visit. As you know from previous visits, each room in this historic inn is unique in its own right. We certainly would have loved to have accommodated your request for room 47 had it been available. We have notified our head of housekeeping regarding the cleanliness of your bathroom to ensure that each space is taken care of properly. We absolutely understand how important a good night's rest is, and we hope you will give us the opportunity to offer you the quiet accommodations you have come to expect on your next visit to the resort.

I opted for the Inn in order to get a larger room. We had a queen and two twins. It was a corner room so lots of windows and separate room with twin beds. (A TV would’ve been nice in the twin room but no biggie.) The Inn was very beautiful and there weren’t many guests around. There were plenty of seats in the lobby area to relax and there was always a real fire going on the fireplace. Everything was clean. Dining at the Inn is closed due to covid which we knew. We walked to the Omni to get take out for dinner. There is a shorter path thru the woods or you can also walk on the road. The Omni is gorgeous. Take out was easy. We ordered at the bar and food was ready in about 15/20 minutes. And still hot after walking back to our room to eat. There is complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning at the Inn at front desk. This was wonderful as there wasn’t anything else around to grab quickly without going up to the Omni or waiting until getting to the slopes. Employees were great. Each front desk person was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. One piece of constructive criticism are that the mattresses and sheets need to be upgraded. The bed should be the star of the show and the mattresses were a tad soft and worn feeling. I felt for the price of the room the sheets should’ve been upgraded as well. Overall I would love to stay here again. We enjoyed the skiing and the convenience of staying at this gorgeous resort just down the road from Bretton Woods. The views of Mount Washington are breathtaking.

The rooms are warm and well appointed at this inn. The building dates back to 1896. The atmosphere is warm including the friendly and helpful staff. Room sizes are good and bathrooms are modern, with good shower pressure. Because the inn is a ways from the dining rooms and the wine bar and dining at the inn are closed due to Covid, they have arranged to have muffins and pastries and coffee/tea behind the front desk in the morning. The inn is about a mile and change from the Bretton Woods ski resort. One has access to all the dining rooms, spa and facilities at the main resort. They are very pet friendly so a lot of folks with their dogs are staying here. The public spaces are also open and a good place to gather. Despite the drawback of not having their own dining room we would definitely come back to stay here. The shuttle between the inn and the main hotel is not available due to Covid. So you have to drive your car or take a walk up the hill to the main hotel which given it’s been in the teens this week might not be a pleasant walk! That is the only drawback - which is that if you do want to use the spa you need to bundle up and go the main hotel. We really liked the mountain, and would like to come back when it is completely open as only a few trails were open this past week due to early winter conditions. There were some disruptive guests at the inn. There was a lot of running and banging on doors and commotion above us three nights in a row. Apparently no one complained until the third night. Which is unfortunate. Security did seem to deal with it once the complaints were logged with the front desk. The building is old so you can hear a lot of sounds - particularly the plumbing in the walls.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The property is gorgeous and the location can’t be beat. We absolutely understand and respect changes in protocol due to COVID. However, these are my issues: - Coffee shop was closed, only 1 restaurant and bar open for entire property; they allowed people not staying on site to make restaurant reservations and use the bar. When they are operating on 50% capacity, I don’t think it’s right to do that. We were unable to get a table and we were staying there. - No complimentary coffee available in rooms or lobby for guests; I have never stayed at a place that does not offer complimentary coffee. I’m floored that at $400 per night they can’t offer morning coffee for guests when I get complimentary coffee at Comfort Inn! Summary: after spending $2000 in 3 days, I would have expected complimentary coffee in the morning. I also wish they let us know either on website or front desk of closed amenities. I don’t mind things were closed, but I wish they let us know. Communication is key.

We stayed here for one night and the accommodations were very nice. Super clean and comfortable but please know all rooms are pet friendly but they say they do a deep clean after a pet in the room. My husband has severe allergies and asthma so I called ahead and spoke to a woman who said she would make a note of this that I requested a room that is NOT pet friendly. It was not communicated to us at that time of my phone call request with this woman that every room is pet friendly and it was not until we arrived that the gentleman at the desk told us all rooms could have pets in them. My husband did develope a cough and did have to take extra meds that night and we would choose to stay up at the main mount Washington hotel next time due to this complication.

Took the grandkids for a ski trip. Bretton Woods is an awesome mountain for intermediate skiers! The trail conditions were excellent. The only issue we ran into was lower cost eating options for kids. The dinner at the Arms was $280- for 2 adults & 3 kids (the kids had Mac & cheese and penne pasta) 😳. Apparently a lot of local restaurants are closed Mon-Weds. Our room for 5 was great. 2 twins in an adjacent room w/door to our room. Queen and comfy roll away.
