Driving down the long driveway to the circular drive to the picture perfect white house raised my expectations of what my weekend would be. Happy to report that my expectations were met! The fire in my room was delightful, the breakfast was delicious, the common rooms - and games room in basement with stone walls - the graciousness of the inn-keeper and staff were just fabulous. I overlooked the rather 90's era decor because it was not overwhelming and did not take away too much from the natural elegance of the entire property. Can't wait to return.
Came up from Maine for a 3 night get away, tired of N. Conway and seeing that I grew up here back in the early 70's thought we would check this out. Has NOT disappointed. Rooms are spacious to say the least, staying in the Franconia and worth every penny. Restaurant was quaint, homey, warm just like you would expect from a 5 star B&B and dinner and breakfast top notch. 200 acres to snow shoe through, peaceful walk.....I mean this is EVERYTHING you expect from a 5 star B&B and more. On a scale of 1 to 5 I give it a 6.5. Here for a couple more nights, won't want to leave
This is not only a lovely inn with classic appointments and design but the inn keeper and staff are incredibly professional and hospitable. I stayed for a few nights mid winter and enjoyed the snow shoe trails, cozy common room with fire and lovely music playing. The innkeeper/chef provided two outstanding breakfasts. I only regret I couldn't stay for dinner but will definitely do so again. I will absolutely be back to the Adair. (I skied Cannon and Bretton Woods and found the ease of travel, ingress and egress a delight.)
If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful and friendly inn, look no more! This was our second visit to the Adair and things just keep getting better. The dining experience is wonderful-we had perfect steaks-and the breakfast popovers are famous for a reason! Though beautiful decor and lovely rooms all around it's not at all pretentious. Just friendly host and staff who will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We always enjoy discovering new places but this is one that we will return to whenever we are looking to stay in northern NH.
The superb staff, amenities, and location nestled amidst the White Mountains lend the perfect experience for a restorative get away! Abundant winter activities in the area include downhill and cross country skiing, hiking, and snow shoeing. Pack a picnic to enjoy in a favorite spot off trail, alongside a meandering stream, or while enjoying a perfect vista along various rivers proximate to the Inn.
