This is exactly what you expect from a New England lodge: welcoming staff, comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms, a great breakfast and an inviting common area. We even enjoyed playing pool in the downstairs area. Thanks to Michael and Chantal for being such gracious hosts Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience….the Lodge is spectacular, the views are amazing, and the breakfasts are delicious. And most of all Michael and Chantal (didn’t meet Michael’s wife Carol or Chantal’s husband Sean) were so welcoming and friendly. We will recommend Bear Mountain Lodge to our friends and family. We also met some wonderful people staying at the Lodge at breakfast time…absolutely delightful. Thank you.

Wow. My wife and I felt right at home as Mike greeted us at the front door. Mike and Carol have a perfect getaway, impeccably clean, inviting, and with a spectacular view. We appreciated the interest of our plans and Mike's advice to maximize what's available locally. We also enjoyed meeting our fellow guests at the fire pit. We plan to come back and enjoy another peaceful stay, with our friends. Tony & Dana.

We booked this B+B based on reviews here, and so glad we did. The lodge is situated on a beautiful property, and is so thoughtfully designed in every respect. We were greeted promptly with warm cookies and a house tour. Our room, Snowy Owl, was very private, well-appointed, and spotless. The bed was comfy (expect to climb up!) and faced the view out to the east for beautiful sunrises. A nice little table and chairs, plus recliners made the main room perfect for relaxing. The shower/tub room was superb, with a separate WC --- such a great idea. A coffee bar and fridge rounded out the amenities, really great. Breakfasts were equally well-designed with immense attention to detail. More fresh cookies every day (hmmm, no one is making them at our house!), and a firepit to gather with other guests, what more could you ask? How about a host with a veritable host of information about the local area? Michael was very willing to tell us about the area, and we enjoyed meeting him. Expect that the room will not be tidied up daily, and that is not a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed this stay, and hope to return in the future.

Room Tip: Beautiful gardens around the entire property. Snowy Owl seems to have the most privacy.

What a great stay we had at this lovely Lodge! Mike and Carol were outstanding hosts for our stay. Our room was spotless and included a fireplace & jacuzzis .. outside our room was a hot tub and fire pit for all to enjoy. Breakfasts were amazing each day - we couldn’t wait to get upstairs to see what Carol had whipped up. Views from the deck were breathtaking — we so enjoyed our visit to the White Mountains & our stay at Bear Mountain Lodge. Rodney & Rebecca
