Hotel's Favorite
We attended a wedding at the BVI and had a spectacular time. The hotel is unique in the historical design, location, level of finishes and attention to details. The BVI has a number of buildings; hotel, restaurant/Bar, Barn for events and a spa & store. The rooms are spacious, clean and lovely, The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful.
We had a great stay and the wedding was a well organized and wonderful event. We look forward to staying at the BVI again in the future.

Hotel is beautiful, check in staff attentive, rooms were phenomenal. Food at Fondi was average Italian, brunch was excellent in The Dining Rooms.
Couple comments:
Bartenders at their restaurant Fondi could up their service game a bit. Quick example, can’t bring appetizers and a salad and not have plates and utensils, and then not bring them until asked.
On Sunday morning we walked into the Dining Rooms for brunch and the gentleman that was there looked at us like we had 5 heads, we tell him we have a reservation for brunch at 9am, he then walks away and comes back 5 minutes later saying it was his first day. I get that he was probably a bit confused, but he never should have been put in that position by management. Now once we were seated, the server we ended up with was excellent and the brunch was as well.
The hotel charges an “amenity fee”, the fee is small, but what amenities are available in February? Outdoor pool obviously closed, hot tub outside in the cold, and there was a function onsite that prevented us from going to the Wine Room and Tavern.

This was the perfect relaxing/wonderful mini Vacation for my boyfriend and I. It was an hour away from Salem MA and Ogunquit ME. There is a beautiful winery down the road, taproom and a great BBQ place. The inn is absolutely beautiful, we had a room with a fireplace and everyday housekeeping provided fresh towels and made our room look beautiful. Everyone at the inn including the front desk staff and everyone at the restaurants were so nice and friendly. They made it so easy to make reservations to any of the restaurants or help us with anything else. Noah was great! We got complementary champagne when we checked in. Their restaurants were great, we tried all of them. Our favorite was the dining room, the food was amazing. Brunch was great there too before we left. All in all it was a wonderful experience and exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Grand and were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely and spacious the rooms are. A fireplace in every room makes such a pretty presentation and the four poster beds are roomy and comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful and so big with a tub and stand alone shower., 2 sinks and lots of storage space for toiletries . Very well done.
Shout out to the cleaning staff that worked diligently and quickly and seem to have their job down to a science.
Turndown service complete with cookies was very nice as was the informative IPAD on the nightstand.
Everyone at the Grand was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the restaurant Trattoria Fondi for dinner. Excellent.
Highly recommend

Overall room accommodations for the function were great. The brunch food temperature not so great. The food was cold. When the food was brought to the buffet table from the kitchen it was not properly covered during transportation to the buffet table, which lowers the temperature of hot food. (How long was the food sitting in kitchen before transport?)
The servers' attendance to the group was good, but there was an issue with a male server and his long hair (which by the way is not the issue). His hair was hanging in his face. He kept putting his hands in his hair to move it from his face all while attending to the guest tables. Any and all servers with long hair should have it tied up away from their faces preventing them from touching their hair. I'm in the food service industry myself. I only wanted to provide this review so food temperatures as well as servers' awareness of their appearance and food handling are brought to the attention of those in charge.

I booked one night at the Grand for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary during a busy weekend but we wanted to take time to spend together. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. Our room felt more like a master suite in someone's home than a hotel room. Loved the bathroom and fireplace. We arrived late so we ate at The Tavern. Food and service was great, atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Want a small water bottle for your room? That’s 2 dollars per bottle. Forgot your toothpaste? That’s 8 dollars for a tiny tube of toothpaste. Late checkout? The front desk will stare at you like you’re a freeloader and begrudgingly offer an extra hour “as a courtesy.” This is a beautiful property and management would be much better served by upping the room charge an extra 5 dollars so they don’t have to nickel and dime you to death.

The Inn is a nice place to stay. We stayed in a king room with fireplace. There was a soaking tub in the bath. The tiled shower had a rain head and to my surprise had great water pressure. The room is modern and clean. Only hiccup, we arrived and the in room white wine was drank and open in the mini fridge. I called the front desk and they switched it out shortly after. Hotel was nice but I was a bit disappointed in the restaurants. In general overpriced and stuffy. The only restaurant we enjoyed was sitting at the bar of the tavern. Nice bartenders and good food. Desserts were very tasty. If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend and not having to leave the grounds, here will fit the bill.

While the actual accommodations were lovely the customer service at this point is less than desirable. We were at the end of a 10 day trip that we booked in February. When we checked in I thought the rates sounded more than quoted but didn’t dispute it until I was able to check my notes at home. Upon returning home I discovered I was correct. We were billed for a suite instead of a king bed single. I called back and spoke with Ian. He confirmed he thought I was over charged but needed me to speak with Noah. I did so and he said he needed to speak with Candace. He assured me he would call me back on the 17th. At the end of the day I called back and he said due to training someone he didn’t have a chance to speak with her but would speak with her first thing and call me by 10 am. No call. I called again and got another person who finally got me to Candace who said I was charged the Columbus Day rates which to me is bogus. A $100 up charge for 2 rooms. Poor communication and poor customer service defeats beautiful place.

The Bedford Village Inn and Grand brings to mind a cozy inn in a quiet village. It is not. It is a mid size hotel in an upscale community with lots of traffic. It has a pretty setting that seems to lend itself to weddings. We chose it to be our base to explore New Hampshire for a few days and it worked for that purpose. It is beautifully appointed but seemed to have suffered from Covid depleting staff.
The bar/tavern in our building was open for breakfast, which was very good each morning. It was not open for the listed times on Friday and Saturday evenings. The front desk suggested going to the Tavern, another building on the property due to the unavailability of the one in our building. We did have dinner there one evening and it was quite good.
We were told that housekeeping was unavailable during our three days, but items needed could be requested from the front desk. Again, we assumed Covid depleted the staff, and we managed, but for the price paid we felt there could have been drinks or a dinner or a reduction in the cost of the room in recognition of the lack of service.
New Hampshire in general was a disappointment and the Bedford Village Inn and Grand was a big part of that. Probably won't visit NH again, and if we do we will not stay at an "Inn" which is really a wedding venue.

We are approximately 3 miles from the City of Manchester. Bedford has no town center as shops and other businesses are located throughout the Town. There is a quaint town center where the Town Library and Town Hall are located about a mile and a half from the Inn.
There are neighborhoods near by you can run through.
Unfortunately we do not accept pets. I know how attached to your pet you are as I have a dog myself. It seems as though many people have developed allergies to many things we have to be sensitive to their needs.
