Attitash Mountain Village is often celebrated for its prime ski location and the cozy, rustic charm that permeates its atmosphere, complete with fireplaces and quaint decor. While some guests have called out the attentive service and spotless accommodations, others have encountered unresponsive staff and maintenance concerns. Opinions on the rooms are divided, with praise for their spaciousness by some, but criticism for being dated and cramped by others. Despite its cleanliness and range of amenities, the hotel's value is questioned by those who find it overpriced and in need of updates.

Unit was surrounded by trees on a hill which had a few steps to access the entrance. It was not a problem. The main level has a queen size Murphy bed and the upper floor has a king size bed in a huge space that included a jacuzzi and a gas fireplace. It was very enjoyable. The unit has a full kitchen. It was nice to have an oven. The unit had a total of 8 pool towels in addition to the bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The unit was spacious and offered privacy for two couples or a family of six. Plenty of activities are on site or within a short drive.

AMV has done well maintaining these units (we were also here in 2011 and 2016). Our unit's carpets were worn and will need to be replaced in the near future. The unit had two levels, each level having its own bathroom. Lower entry level had full bathroom with jacuzzi, full kitchen, spacious living/dining room with gas fireplace and balcony. Upstairs bedroom area was spacious with king bed, a two-person jacuzzi tub, three-piece bathroom and gas fireplace. Short drive to Attitash and Bear Peak ski areas. Guests are allowed to park in AMV lot, which is very close to Attitash Peak Base Lodge. AMV is a 15 minute drive to North Conway, where there are many restaurants and outlet shops (e.g., Settler's Green). This was our third time here (via RCI) and we will definitely plan to return. SKIERS...make sure you check out deals via purchasing an Epic Card in advance, which can save you about 50% on lift tickets.

We spent everyday on trails in the White mountains. It was about 30 to 60 minutes driving to places to bike, hike, and run (e.g., rails to trails) which was doable. The area is very beautiful! The small towns nearby were also nice to walk around. We especially liked Littleton where many of the buildings have historical markers, there is a statue of Pollyanna to honor the author of the story who was from, and a covered bridge over the river with lots of rapids.

The staff were all helpful and cheerful.

The unit were we stayed had one bedroom on the second floor and a hide away bed on the first floor. Which we did not need, which is lucky because the room would have been filled with it open. The kitchen was small but usable. The biggest challenge was the small refrigerator, a size up from a dorm refrigerator -- larger units have bigger kitchen. But the kitchen and refrigerator sufficed for the two of us. It was nice to have the dresser in the first floor. It allowed a place to store dry food. (I'm sure it was meant to allow the first floor to be for sleeping.) Many time shares do not give you a space for dry food, so we were glad it was there.

The air condition was loud through out the building, which was annoying (e.g., we did not sit on our deck because the neighbors air conditioning was loud). It was not really a problem because we do not typically use a deck anyway. The entry way was loud with the air conditioning. It seems unnecessary to have an air conditioner there. There has to be a quieter more energy efficient way to cool the place. There was also a high pitched noise in the upstair bedroom. We could not locate the source of the sound and maintenance never came to fix it (or couldn't fix it).

You can recycle, but there was only one location for it, it was three building down from our unit, and there was nothing posted in the unit about recycling. The staff told us where it was located. But you have to want to seek it out.

The unit had been renovated, which was nice. The hot tub on the property next to the outdoor pool was huge, which was nice because you did not feel like you had to compete for space. The walking trails behind it were pleasant. We saw lots of kids biking, playing basket ball, tennis or pickle ball, and riding their bikes around the property. So it was family friendly. The whole place was quite (except for the air conditioners!)

A large unit,( we had 2 bedroom , for 2couples, it also had pull-down bed) in great location for various ski hills within driving distance. Plus a lovely ski hill across the road, walking distance. Unit has pretty much all you need: lots dishes, cooking utensils, bedding , towels, washer/dryer. Lots stairs , if you have mobility issues. Unit is outdated, but def comfortable for the week, enjoyed the large outdoor hot tub after skiing.
Def recommend and will return.
Nice pizza shop ,restaurant/ bar on site , or a quick drive to the town with ample restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.

Our room smelled like sewer. We asked to move to another room, hotel staff said the smell was due to a gas tank that was leaking and emptied out. They could not provide us a replacement room with the two beds we had booked in the village. We stayed in the room filled with noxious gas for one night. Again we tried to switch rooms for our final night. Staff informed us there were rooms with two beds available but they were not authorized to give us the room since it was an upgrade. They said they could switch us to a room with a queen bed and a pullout, we accepted this offer to avoid the disgusting and harmful room we were staying in. Upon entering the room we found out they lied and the room was a murphy bed and a pullout. Staff called us and offered a 20% discount and a room with a king bed and a pullout. At this point we were exhausted and fed up with the unhelpful staff so we stayed our final night and checked out. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. To summarize we spent 1 night in a room filled with gas and 1 night in a room with a pullout and a murphy bed, hours spent waiting at the front desk with unhelpful staff. In return we received 20% off.

Mr. Bagan, We are sorry you encountered the gas smell in your initial unit. In your reservation notes, we do see that several offers were made to move your unit, one of which was to a larger unit which you turned down. We apologize the offers we made to move your unit to another did not work for you or your guests. Sincerely, Kim

I always enjoy my stays at Attitash.

We had a one bedroom delux unit which had a large bedroom plus an extra murphy bed in the living room area. Both beds were super comfy.

We loved the two fireplaces, two bathrooms, and two jet tubs. We also loved having our own washer, dryer, and dishwasher in the unit.

The staff is super friendly every time we come and I genuinely love visiting.

Room was not a clean as it should be. There are four of us staying there and was only provided to pillows in one very thin blanket. The bed on the pull out couch was awful there a Springs it look like it was going to fall apart. My kids slept on a mattress that wasn’t even an inch and a half thick. It was a horrible experience. The bed that came out from the wall was warped in the middle, so my husband and I spent all night rolling to the center of the bed. It was not comfortable. The rooms location was wonderful so close to the ski fields very convenient but what I paid for the room I thought I would get more value. It was nice and quiet which was lovely the pool and sauna hot tub smell, so strong with chemicals that I have had to wash my kids in Husband’s clothes three times to get the smell out of it. I’m not sure if my family will return to the resort. Just disappointed. I thought I was going to get more than I did. I would not stay there for more than a night if I had to, and that’s only because of the convenience to the mountain. I’m sorry.

Hello - Thank you for leaving a review of your stay with us here at Attitash Mountain Village. We appreciate the feedback of all our guests' stays, as it allows us to see our teams' hard work in action and where we fell flat. I can see from this review that we fell flat. We will take swift action to investigate the bedding in this unit, which has been identified. All of our beds are updated regularly, so although it is a surprise to see this comment, we will certainly be acting on it. Our pools and hot tubs are carefully maintained by our team who test the water quality daily and are trained to remedy any inconsistencies or concerns quickly and precisely. We will share this message with the team in hopes that there is a learning opportunity, as the safety and comfort of our guests are extremely important to us. We understand that your experience was not one to laud, but we hope that given the opportunity to visit again, you'll choose Attitash Mountain Village. We wish you a great spring season and hope you and your family are happy and well.

The room photographs very well and was very clean. I don't mind paying $400 a night for an upscale accommodation if everything is in working order and service is available if there is a problem. This is why we gave it 2 stars instead of five. Lets start with the ability to sleep at night. There are six doors within about eight inches between them, and each one slams when it closes so you will be awoken whenever someone comes in at 2AM in the morning or leaves at 6AM in the morning as there is no insulation or sound deadening materials here. If you are a couple on vacation, you should know that about half the rentals are utilized by families which is awesome... unless they have a child which likes to run back and forth across your ceiling until close to midnight, and first thing in the morning. If you like to party all night or are hearing impaired, this may be the perfect place for you! One of our four to five pull down shades broke and was hung up so we could not lower it for privacy. You call the housekeeping/ service number listed on the paper they give you and are afforded the opportunity to leave a message on their answering machine. Hours later, no one returns your call and you are left with a blind open so everyone walking by can see into your room. My wife and I actually left a day early as we just wanted to get home and get some rest as we were not able to really sleep here. Good luck!

Hi Thomas, we're very troubled to hear about this experience. Yes, we are a popular location for families because of our spacious suites and various amenities. But we do enact quiet hours, which we recognize and enforce to provide all of our guests a healthy nights' sleep. We received your message and can assure you we acted on this information to contact your neighbors and warn them that their loud behavior would need to cease immediately. We apologize that we did not return you call. We're sorry for this experience; we work diligently with the intention of providing outstanding accommodations and visits to our resort. We've brought your review to the attention of the general manager, and we hope to both learn from it find ways to improve future stays. Thank you, and safe travels to you in the future.

I recently stayed at Attitash Mountain Village with my 12 year old son. I checked in on Saturday (August 26) and checked out yesterday (September 1). Having previously stayed at the resort, I had high expectations for a memorable and enjoyable experience. Now, I feel compelled to express my disappointment regarding my room choice during my stay.

Upon arrival, I was assigned a room in the Pierce Building, which was located across Highway 302 and adjacent to ongoing heavy/loud construction. I had specifically chosen this resort to relax, indulge in nature, and enjoy the resorts amenities (hot tub, swimming pool, etc). But unfortunately, the room's location made accessing these amenities difficult and inconvenient and instead of being surrounded by the tranquility of nature, I was surrounded by loud and booming construction trucks/noises and highway traffic. Additionally, having to cross a busy highway just to access the main resort area made my stay far less enjoyable than anticipated. For example, I was uncomfortable heading to the hot tub if my son wanted to relax in the room out of fear that he would have to walk through/around construction vehicles and across a major highway to get to me if an emergency arose or if he needed anything. This experience significantly impacted my ability to fully appreciate the resort's offerings, and I believe it did not align with the level of service and quality I had expected from this resort.

I responded soon after check-in that I was disappointed in my room assignment and was told that next time I should request a room on the opposite side of the highway. This response was disappointing since I didn't know there were rooms down the street and across the highway and that did not make things better for this trip with my son (my one trip with him this year).

We love the location of Mt. Attitash just minutes from North Conway. It is a very family friendly resort and a great away for couples. The units have everything you need at your fingertips. We cooked every night on the gas grill under the gazebo and I did all my laundry (unit in the bathrooms) before I went back home LOL Great walking trails that bring you to the Saco River from the resort. Bring a tube and float in the river.

Hi rcrgrl9, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I apologize for Frank's response to you, it does not reflect how we typically treat our guests: with respect and understanding (Frank is no longer with the company). I apologize for your experience, we certainly had a very challenging winter with record amounts of snow which made snow removal very tough, but that is no excuse for not providing a safe environment for our guests. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you and find out if we can serve you better. Trip does not allow contact info to be posted but if you call the resort they can connect you to me.
