The owner was very nice. The room was clean, although it had a slight musty smell. The loveseat was slip covered and the curtains were askew. We were a bit troubled by the windows in the door and above the shower, if privacy is a huge concern. There is not breakfast provided, but we opted to buy breakfast items to heat in the microwave at a nearby grocery store. Coffee and a coffee maker are in the room. They do not require a two night minimum stay and to be honest, that is one of the reasons we chose this motel as we were passing through the area for just one night. There are many options in the area, but many require a two night stay, especially on a weekend night.

This was a staple vacation spot for us pre-COVID and we returned for four nights this year with our kids, who despite starting to outgrow the theme parks in the area still loved the locale. It's a well-run motel with a great pool and great play structure playground. The BBQs and fire pit are a nice amenity as well.

Room Tip: We like the double beds accommodation at the front of the motel because the BBQ station is there....

Long time between trips to NH and the White Mountains/North Conway/Lincoln areas. We chose North Colony based on reviews, location and value. Very friendly staff and solid hotel with clean rooms and good amenities outdoors to keep young kids happy, Nice base camp with easy drives to all the main attractions while not being in the congested area of North Conway - some good nearby restaurants as well. Overall we were very happy and would stay again and recommend without hesitation.

What a great little spot at the foot of Attitash Mountain. The area is surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenery, with lots of outdoor activities, hiking, etc. The motel rooms are SUPER CLEAN and the motel owners are SUPER FRIENDLY and informative. There is a big beautiful pool on the premises and LOTS of kid friendly playsets and jungle jims. It was just my husband and I but if we had small kids, they would have had a blast. I highly recommend this little motel... oh, and they have cottages too for a longer stay if needed.

North Colony Motel and Cottages was a great place to stay. After a wonderful hike near by we checked in, took hot showers, and were able to have a decent meal near by. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating. The room was super clean. There was plenty of parking. We did not have children but if you do, they have a wonderful playground too. I would highly recommend staying here.

Only stayed a single night after an all-day bike ride through the mountains. But found the room very clean, the bed super comfy and that hot shower after a cold day on the road was hard to leave. Location was great and management friendly and accommodating with travel plans changing due to weather.

My husband and I set up a reservation to stay close in the White Mountains here at the North Colony Motel and Cottages last weekend. We only had plans for the Friday night and arrived around 8pm. Donna was there to greet us and give us our key. Our room was clean and fresh, and just what we needed! The price was right and everything was comfortable. The bathroom was clean mattress was comfortable. You can tell that Donna and Paul are hands-on in keeping this property clean and refreshing without breaking the guests bank account. The playground and pool looked inviting so we are now trying to figure when we can bring our children and grandchildren. We will be back again soon!

We stayed two nights. I really was so happy with this place. The playground was simply amazing for young kids and they were delighted (ages 5-9). So close to storyland, quiet, friendly and everything was sparkling clean. I often prefer to camp because I rarely find a hotel room that is clean enough for me to truly relax. This was. It isn’t fancy, and the beds are firm, but if those things don’t matter to you, then this is the ideal place for people with kids.

Rooms were clean, water pressure was good, check in and out was easy, and the price was most afforable. And they don't have a two night minimum, which seems a rare find in the area. If you have little kids (once upon a time, we did), there's even more to recommend it - playground, funky funny houses. And the pool was a big hit even with our 14 yo.
