Overall this is a good place to stay in a pretty mountain setting about 10 minutes from North Conway. It definitely needs some updating and deep cleaning. The unit itself was decent, but needs work. For example, water stains on ceiling, paint scraped off doors, broken light cover on ceiling light, chunks of plaster missing, wall clock not working, dining table scratched and nicked, balcony in desperate need of painting. The unit was generally clean, but just needs more regular maintenance and some tlc. The unit was stocked with basic kitchen utensils, cookware, glasses, plates, and silverware. There is a Kuerig machine and a regular drip coffee maker with filters, but it is not like an Airbnb so don’t expect anything at all left in cabinets like spices, sugar, cooking oil, baggies, paper plates, etc. In room entertainment is very limited; no stereo, very basic hotel programmed/locked down tv, no dvd or smart tv options, etc. This isn’t necessarily bad, but just be aware if this is important to you. Also know that the WiFi is an open network with no passwords and is strictly regulated. The fireplace in the unit was very nice. There was also a washer and dryer that was very useful but you need to bring your own detergent. The king beds were very comfortable. The common area of the pools and hot tubs was not clean or well maintained and that was a bit disappointing. For example, leaves in the hallway and outdoor hot tub area, all moldings and doors were filthy and badly in need of painting, cracked fireplace doors, windows and mirrors were filthy, i.e., general cleanliness could be much improved. It is very dated and looks like nothing has been done to the facility in years. If an establishment is going to charge a “resort fee”, then the facilities should be maintained appropriately and reflective of “resort” quality. They were not. However, we enjoyed our stay and would possibly go back. It was a quiet and very beautiful setting for our stay. We went during the off season and the prices were reasonable for a one bedroom unit. I think if we had gone during a peak period and paid peak prices, I would have been more upset by the overall condition of the unit and the resort’s common areas.

We had a great time at Nordic Village - it worked really well for our family and our cousins. That being said, it is definitely a property that must have had its hey-day in the 1990's and we referred to it as 90's Nordic Village. We rented two separate condos. Ours was two floors with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it was great for four adults and a toddler. The beds were super comfy. The cooking area and living room/dining room was adequate for 8 people to hang out and cook and eat. The kitchen supplies could have been a bit better with sharper knives, more than 1 glass cutting board, and a salad spinner. Our cousins had a one bedroom and it wasn't terrific. It had a musty smell.

The Village has an individual fitness center that is adequate but not great. The equipment is limited and older and we couldn't lock our stuff in the lockers because we couldn't find the keys. However, we really didn't need to lock anything. The hot tub outside here was pretty good and clean. Not super hot but good and warm and comfortable. The Pool house didn't have a place to put gritty winter boots so the floor of the indoor pool and hot tub area was gritty, and so was the hot tub. The indoor pool was too cool but the heating element was expected to be fixed. The game house had an older ping pong table with lots of nicks and the paddles and balls should be replaced. The pool table and bumper pool tables could use some resurfacing. Still and all, we used all of the facilities and the location to hiking and skiing and ice climbing and xc skiing was fabulous. The staff was very sweet and the vibe of the place is very comfortable and relaxed. For that reason, we would definitely consider returning.

Great service, rooms clean, fireplace worked well, has a bathtub that can fit two people in it with jets, I’m 6’4” and i was able to fit in the tub. It was perfect location 20 minutes from North Conway and 30 minutes from Bretton woods, plenty of places to eat around this spot in either direction, as well as plenty of activities nearby. It was perfect for what we needed, cute rooms. Friendly staff. Would come back again

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in unit i73a. The unit itself has such great potential if it was given routine maintenance and a deep cleaning. Location of the resort is perfect as it’s a quick drive to great hiking, shopping and skiing

The tubs they advertise in each unit have not been deep cleaned and black mildew is visible in all jets. Wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling badly in large sections.
If you have children use caution on the balcony as there is heavy damage to the wood and even the wood on the sliding doors shows water damage.
Simple updates like changing and ensuring clean lampshades would make a difference as they are all heavily stained.
We stopped at the desk to let them know there was a horrible smell coming from the shared hallway and were actually concerned that an animal had gained entry to that unit and had passed away.

I have since heard that you can find privately owned units for rent on HomeAway or air bnb- and those units would be auch better choice!

I've stayed many different places throughout NH and was looking for somewhere quiet on the outskirts of North Conway. The location is great, nestled in the mountains and about 15 minutes from the outlets, shops, and trails.

I had always wanted to check this place out and was sadly a little disappointed. The room boasted a fireplace and whirlpool tub, a pool and outdoor hot tubs on site.

The room was small and far too hot even with the heat as low as it could go. Although the room was a little dated, I was more concerned about the mold in the shower and that did not make me confident using the whirlpool, which I did not use.

The indoor hot tub was luke warm and looked really dirty- this could have been hard water, all the same it went with the theme of the shower in my room. The interior of the pool room could use some paint as it looked run down. The outdoor hot tub was very small and difficult to get a seat in.

This is probably a great place if you have kids and you want to keep them occupied, but not a great spot for adults or couples looking to relax. Probably after a long day of skiing it's an ok place to lay your head.

I just felt paying resort fees it would be a little better quality. My recommendation is to bring towels as they give you tiny thin towels for the pool.

All in all location is great, but I've stayed places of far better quality for much less expensive.

The room was covered in spider webs and the dishes had food stuck on them. When I arrived I cleaned upstairs and downstairs and ran all the dishes through the dishwasher. Also for the price we pay we shouldn't have to pull sheets off the beds and put towels in bags. I paid $1,580 for 3 days and this should be part of the fee for the room service to take care of. Also the game room needs to be cleaned as well. I felt uncomfortable having my kids play there because it was so filthy.

Stayed here for the first time for a long weekend Oct 2020. It was our first "alone" vacation without our 1.5yr old. The unit was quiet and private, there were beautiful views from the balcony, everything was very clean, and the space was extra cozy with the gas fireplace. The kitchen was fully stocked with dinnerware/silverware/etc.. It was the perfect location, very close to Mt Washington and so many sightseeing/hiking areas. I highly recommend! We had a great time and will definitely go again!

This was my fourth and final stay at Nordic Village. It has never been my favorite place in the valley and is completely overpriced, but I settled for it more than once when I planned last minute. What went wrong this time: three women at check-in, each more sour than the last. It was a holiday weekend, I know they were busy, but not one could muster a smile or feign friendliness. In the past, I've always rented a deluxe suite that came with a kitchenette. When I got to our room this time, there was no such thing. When I called the desk, the woman said I can move you to another room (upcharge), but it's not our fault as it is privately owned. This was bizarre, as I rented it from NV. I could have lived with this response, but not once did she say, 'I'm sorry for the inconvenience or that you're not satisfied." I wasn't moving to another room as I just schlepped all my family's ski gear into the place and it was roughly 7 degrees outside. I would think that as a repeat customer they would have done something, like reduced the rate, or said sorry, but no. This woman really didn't give a s***. So, all the food I packed... pretty much a waste if I wasn't heating it in a microwave. Oh, and all the utensils in the space were dirty. There was peanut butter all over one knife, rice in a fork. The list keeps going. My 8 year old, who camps with me (like on dirt), couldn't sleep on the pullout couch because it was that bad. Springs directly into your ribs. She put cushions from chairs on the floor and slept there instead. Eight year olds will sleep on anything - that's how bad this was. The final insult: the duvet on the king bed smelled of urine. Yes, you read that right: urine. Take my advice, find something on VRBO - NOT WORTH IT.

We had a standard two bedroom town house that was updated (F38). The kitchen was clean and worked great. The bathrooms were all clean and worked great. The beds were very comfortable, including the pull out bed that the 2 year old and 4 year old slept on. The two 7 year olds slept in the second bedroom with twin beds. And the AC (this standard had AC as do most) worked great.
Even though it officially did not come with a view, we still got to see some mountains from the porch.
Behind our townhouse was a nice large lawn with a beautiful flower bed. It added to the view and was great for a family picture. There were also picnic table we used for an outdoor lunch one afternoon.
The pools were wonderful. The 3 foot pool is large and could accommodate a few families at once with several children, although were usually had it to ourselves. The deeper outdoor pool is great too, and the older children were able to enjoy it. The hot tubs were hot and jets were strong- very relaxing. The lake/pond has a rowboat that I took the children on, and they really enjoyed.
The location to White Mountain activities in Bartlett and North Conway is great. Even to Lincoln (Loon Mountain, Clark's Trading Post, etc.) is slightly under an hour drive over scenic roads with great views and hike stops.
All interactions with staff were pleasant and they were very helpful.
Not all townhouses are the same, some are more updated than others, and may have different bed set ups. We booked using Chase Ultimate Rewards points, and then called up to discuss the possible rooms at the standard level, and left room to upgrade to a better townhouse if needed.

We love this area! It is close to great hikes, rivers for swimming/kayaking, Storyland (currently closed) and N. Conway downtown to just name a few spots! The property is spread out and takes advantage of the gorgeous views and also helps with the noise factor of other guests.
Property perks - Two of the buildings are pet friendly so we were able to bring our dog at a small cost. She loves the mountain air! Kids loved the indoor & outdoor pool. Also, if you are just adults coming there is a separate pool further up with beautiful views for guests 18+. There is also a nice fitness center for 18+
I was unaware that there was a washer/dryer in the one bedroom which was a bonus. It would have been helpful to know when packing. Something to ask about and you do need to bring your own laundry detergent.
